    Lobster and Crab Cakes

we sat at the bar while we waited for our 8pm table reservation. david was an excellent bartender, i ordered a paloma while my friend ordered the cosmo. we started with our appetizers, oysters and lobster & crab cake. the oysters were local, pretty good, and the lobster & crab cake was amazing! i wish they had a bit more lemon basil aoili with it. we were seated at our table with amy who was extremely hospitable and kind. for our meal, we split the filet mignon and scallops with sautéed spinach & creamed corn for sides. the filet came out slightly overcooked, and they were more than happy to remake it medium rare, and it came out perfect the second time with very little wait. our sides were perfect, and i loved that the creamed corn tasted fresh. we ended with an espresso martini with baileys, and it was overall a beautiful dinner. oysters 9/10 lobster & crab cake 10/10 filet mignon 10/10 scallops 9/10 sautéed spinach 10/10 creamed corn 9/10 paloma 8/10 espresso martini 10/10 the capital grille cares about satisfaction in every aspect. Love this place!!! Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Capital Grille is one of my go to steakhouses in the Boston area. I was dining alone this night and took a empty seat at the bar. Ordered a nice glass of red wine, half a dozen oysters and, you guessed it, a steak. A bone in ribeye, medium, rare with a side of sautéed mushrooms. The steak was perfectly cooked, and the mushrooms were delicious. But I knew that would be the case, not the first time I've dined here. Interestingly, Dave Andelman of Phantom Gourmet fame, came in and grabbed the empty seat next to me. I was a little surprised when he ordered the lamb chops. However, they looked amazing, and he confirmed it. I can't wait to try them myself.

Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto

Didn't get a chance to eat in person, but we got take out using a 15 year old gift card my father had. I had the Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto and bread starter. After having just dealt with a bout with a cold, this meal brought me back to life. Very good portion, the bread starter was fantastic also. Fish was fresh and risotto and all were perfect. Will eat here more forsure.

If you're looking for a dining experience that embodies true hospitality and culinary excellence, The Capital Grille in Chestnut Hill is it. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I felt welcomed and completely taken care of. Renzo was phenomenal--attentive, genuine, and went above and beyond to make the evening feel special. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was classy and comfortable, and the level of detail in every aspect of service was impressive.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As for the food... wow. The filet was melt-in-your-mouth tender, perfectly seasoned, and the lobster tails were rich and decadent--an unforgettable pairing. Every dish felt intentional and elevated. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Big shoutout to Chris and the entire team for creating such a polished and warm atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As someone in the hospitality world, I can confidently say this is the kind of experience that stays with you. Can't wait to come back.

Well, we decided to try Capitol Grille because of restaurant week, and it was a great decision. I was unsure as to what to expect due to mixed reviews on the service. However, we had the pleasure of having José and he was AMAZING! He was helpful with wine selections and very polite and friendly he was very attentive to our table, and I would definitely go back because of him and his service. The food was delicious as well. Top of the line, my salmon was a tad bit over cooked. However, still delicious

One of the best meals I have had in a very long time. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a beautiful upscale restaurant with a dark wood atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]An incredible relaxed dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server Sebastian, was great! Helpful, friendly, a great conversationalist and allowed us to dine at our leisure while taking care of all of our needs. We met at couple friends here for dinner. None of us had eaten at a Capital Grille before and everyone was impressed. We started with speciality drinks. They were delicious and strong. Those were followed by some appetizers. First, we were brought a complimentary Arancini they were crispy with a great flavor and a nice red sauce. A beautiful basket of bread was provided with a large variety of breads. All were amazing. Then we ordered a couple other appetizers including shrimp cocktail and Prosciutto-Wrapped Mozzarella with Vine Ripe Tomatoes. The shrimp was big and fresh and the mozzarella was crispy on the outside and came with crostini. Wonderful. Then, for dinner we ordered a bottle of wine. Sebastian took all of our needs and came back with the perfect bottle of wine! For dinner we had Sliced Filet Mignon with Cipollini Onions, Wild Mushrooms and Fig Essence, Sushi-Grade Sesame Seared Tuna served with ginger rice, Seared Tenderloin with Butter Poached Lobster Tails, and Kona-Crusted Dry Aged Bone-In NY Strip. All were amazing and the New York Strip was the best I've ever had. Along with these, we shared sides of Au Gratin Potatoes and Soy-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with Bacon. The food, service and atmosphere could not have been better.

Magic...Come for wine, and stay awhile!…read more Calling all wine lovers, and/or people who enjoy great wine. Jadu is a chic wine bar in Jamaica Plain that I had the privelege of checking out for the first time with friends. Located on the busy Centre street, this posh wine bar is something to talk about. Our server Alex gratiously mentioned some of their wine specials. We opted to stick to the menu, which had a lot to choose from. I recommend trying out a few different varietals, your palate will thank you :) I tried their Rose Pet-Nat which was phenomenal and everyone else had something different. Their menu is small, tapas style but yet so delicious and eloquent. We shared their Whipped Feta, Bread & Whipped Butter, Salad and Rice Pudding for dessert. Everything was spectacular! For 4 people we were full, but I could've stayed for more wine. There's never a dull moment when it comes to wine, right! I know that Boston has a ton of wine bars, but Jadu is something special. From the cozy ambiance to their fabulous and fun wine selections, it felt like I was in my own living room. And, maybe that is the vibe that are going for, but nevertheless they are worth a visit. Jadu means Magic in Hindi! Cheers~

I'd definitely come back to check that out. I tried the hot cocoa and the Maggi. The hot cocoa was delicious, rich and chocolatey without being overly thick or heavy. The Maggi had some really fun and unique ingredients, including avocado, and the tofu was especially well seasoned and flavorful. The only downside was the broth. It was labeled as a soup, but it felt incredibly watered down and lacked the depth of flavor I was expecting especially since I grew up eating maggi. The toppings and ingredients themselves were good, but the broth didn't quite bring everything together. My husband got the tuna salad bowl and enjoyed it.

The decor is industrial with the stone, metal and wood, earth tones, very modern and yet feels cozy and warm with the combination of the colors, lighting and art. There's cool wall art murals which make for a great backdrop and very artsy!! Food-wise, none of the dishes we got particularly wowed me (the sauces that came with each dish were better than the actual food) but I'd come back to try other things from the very extensive list. We got: 1. Patatas bravas: The best thing we got, though we should have eaten this when it was still hot and crispy. After sitting out for a while, it became a mushy mess with the sauce. 2. Spiced meatballs: Very small size for the meatball and not much spice (like less than a bite) but the sauce was excellent. 3. Jamon croquettes: Not bad but the filling was pretty gluey in texture. Definitely need to eat with the accompanying sauce. I ended up dunking it in the sauce that came with the meatballs. 4. Grilled peaches: Intrigued by this summer offering but I'd say skip. For $7, we got five very small slices of peach in an indistinguishable, vaguely sugary/burnt sauce. If you have a grill and a peach, you can definitely make a much better version of this for far cheaper. 5. Shrimp in garlic sauce: Fell flat. The shrimp were small and extremely overcooked. The only saving grace of this dish was the scallion/garlic oil that we used to dip the extra bread in. Food came out very fast and our waitress came by often to check on us and see if we needed. Lots of parking options nearby (including free 2-hour options one block over) so if you're debating which location of Barcelona to go to, the parking alone could weigh in favor of this one.
