Great service as always. David was on point with all the suggestions and really kept us in check. The location is off the main street. Typical of any steak house, dim lit, table cloth, dark and cool. Nothing special compared to other S&W locations. The service is the most distinguishing factor.

Always a good effort at this S&W. A couple of misses on the food on our last visit but nothing derailing, just a few mistakes on the order details. Asked for no lardons, but the salad came with lardons. Asked for blue cheese crumbles, but none came. Mac was dry as if it was sitting in a bain-marie for a long time prior to being served. Excellence in restaurants, or anything in life, is always about the details. Service here is never rushed which is a huge plus.

Life is short! F.... It up! Family,Flavor Friends this is my first visit at this high reputation establishment. We are here for a friends birthday and decided since we're here let's get the best things they have got the tomahawk steak, which was a show and a dinner. We also got the porterhouse, truffle mac & cheese the bacon truffle fries. The service was good the environment in the setting we're also good as expected. However, let's talk about the main course, although the steaks were very eye pleasing. I was wanting that first bite to be everything that I can be and give you that all of casein some thing really delicious. Unfortunately this time it was very bland and maybe I don't eat at these expensive restaurants a lot. But should the steak really be cold? And tasteless, I was hoping to write a amazing review, but I couldn't. Three stars for service and decor.

The waiter was attentive, he brought bread out then returned it to the kitchen before I ate it because he saw a few brush fibers on it. I enjoyed a sweet roast beet salad sweet with creamy vinaigrette. The famous pea split soup was a little bit grainy but tasted nutritious. Plenty of street parking!

The most overrated thing about this upscale expensive steakhouse is the steak itself. $80 steak comes on a cold dish and without any added side dishes. You have several side dishes to purchase at the additional price to already overpriced steaks. The steaks are cooked with different styles of rubs of seasoning. We ordered regular and also with blackened style. We had 10 oz. Fillet medium rare and 28 oz. Ribeye steak medium and medium rare. The fillet tasted dry and ribeye with blackened rub was too well done. None of us was too impressed. Four sides were creamy spinach, asparagus, mushrooms and side of salad. The mushrooms were awful and the rest of sides were not too memorable. The sea bass was surprisingly good. Overall barely three stars. Don't waste your hard earned money for their impressive settings. I rather spend much less for better things. I'm not a fan of big steak anymore.

Great atmosphere. They have a great burger, steak, fries and service. Sit in the bar area or outside.

I'll admit that the only reason I could justify going to S&W was because their superb onion rings distinguished them in the market. Did they really remove the onion rings from the menu?

Hey Ron, we now have fried onions on the menu

We walked into a space that is comfortable and notably quiet for its size, which made it a good option for larger parties or anyone who wants to actually have a conversation without competing with the room. Live music downstairs adds a different dimension to evening visits, and the kitchen stays open until midnight, which makes it a reliable option when other spots have already closed. The nachos are the standout order and the dish most worth building your visit around. They came out loaded and well constructed without collapsing into the pile of soggy chips that ruins most nacho plates. The smash tacos are worth ordering across a few different fillings to get a sense of what the kitchen does well, and the birria tacos in particular have built a following for the depth of flavor in the braised meat and the accompanying consommé for dipping. We tried a few of the other taco options, and they landed on the milder side in terms of seasoning, which was a bit of a letdown compared to the birria. The portion size relative to price also felt a little small on some plates. The ceviche was decent but benefited from some additional flavor, so adjusting expectations on that particular order makes sense. Service was attentive and the pacing of the meal matched the relaxed atmosphere of the room. The staff knew the menu well and offered thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. For a Latin restaurant in Boston that delivers on atmosphere, late hours, and a few standout dishes like the nachos and birria tacos, Lockheart is a solid option worth keeping in mind for a group dinner or a late night meal.

"I've never taken the high road home The old low road seems…read moreto get me there fast" (John Mellancamp) Alta Strada translates into English as "High Road", and as I enjoyed a dinner there with our party of six, I'm very thankful that our road led us there. It's located on Wellesley's bustling Central Avenue, where you'll need to be lucky to grab a parking spot. You'll find a big parking lot behind Central Street to be much more convenient. It's an elegant higher end Italian restaurant with locations also in Fairfax, VA, Washington D.C., Logan Airport, and in Connecticut at Foxwoods Casino. Service was impeccable with numerous checkbacks and beverage refills. Our table started off with an excellent Garlic Bread appetizer with Spicy Tomato Basil Dipping Sauce ($12) and Nonna's Meatballs with Spicy Tomato Sauce, Ricotta, and Parmesan ($16). I really loved the meatballs! My wife and I split an Arugula Salad with Shaved Mushrooms, Truffles, and Parmesan cheese ($15). It was a large lightly dressed portion that was refreshing and very tasty. Believe me when I say that half a portion was plenty. I ordered an Allagash White and was surprised when it came out as a 16-ounce can and one of the coldest frosted Pilsner glasses I ever ran into ! My wife's entrée was Mama Zecca's Eggplant with San Marzano Tomato, Fresh Mozzarella, Parmesan, and a ton of Broccoli Aglio Olio ($29). I ordered the Fedelini Vongole with Manilla Clams, Cherry Tomatoes, Lemon and Parsley over pasta ($29), but a few minutes after I ordered it our server told us it has been sold out. That was the only demerit I saw with the service, I wish I'd have been told when I ordered. Instead, I pivoted to the Rigatoni alla Buttera with Italian Fennel Sausage, Fresh Peas, and Creamy Tomato Sauce over pasta ($29). Fantastic! The two children in our party went with an Individual 6 Slice 12" Cheese Pizza 12" ($17) and side orders of Grilled Chicken Breast ($12) and Grilled Shrimp ($13). When we walked in for our early dinner, Alta Strada wasn't too crowded. By the time we left, it was pretty much jam packed. We had an excellent experience.
