Went to The Capital Grille McLean location for the first time ever for a birthday celebration, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Great food, very professional but club-like decor and atmosphere (as expected for this chain), but absolute tipping point was hands down the service. Jason C was an exceptional server: friendly, knowledgeable, exemplary service and style. Food was so good I only remembered to take a picture of the after dinner cappuccino but in our party we had the filet mignon, sea bass, and sides of asparagus and potatoes au gratin. Everything was prepared perfectly.

Great setting, great ambiance, and I love this area. They haven't disappointed the two times that I've visited and I will be back. Everything from the burgers to the steaks, to the salads, to the drinks, this is an all around winner. Don't miss out on this winner.

I've been to The Capital Grille in DC before, but this was my first visit to the Tysons Corner location after being invited to a birthday lunch. We were offered a pre-fixe menu, which I actually appreciated because there was a solid variety of options. We started with crispy calamari and a bread basket at each table, followed by a choice of mixed greens salad or clam chowder. Entrée options included salmon with couscous, chicken breast with rice, steak frites, and a vegetarian option. For the table, we also received sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes to share - always a win . Dessert was a decadent platter of flourless chocolate cake, crème brûlée, and cheesecake. For a table of six, it was the perfect amount to sample and share . Unfortunately, the service was subpar. While I understand there were about 45 people in the room, this lunch was planned far in advance and should have been staffed accordingly. Simple requests took far too long - I asked for ketchup and by the time it arrived, my fries were already cold. Beverage service was also painfully slow, which took away from the overall experience . The restaurant itself is housed in an office building, and the signage isn't very visible from the main road. That said, I loved that they offer valet parking for just $5, a total steal for the area . The location is spacious overall, but the private room we were seated in felt tight for the size of our group. It would've been helpful if the organizers had been advised that the room might be too small. Overall, the food was delicious and the parking situation was ideal. Still, with so many incredible non-chain dining options in the DMV, this isn't a spot I feel the need to frequent at this time.

On 8/15/26 I took 7 family members to celebrate 2 birthdays at The Capital Grille in Tyson Corner VA. Only three have been to Capital Grille but in DC. My family was so impress with the great food, the staff, the music that was playing and the peaceful atmosphere. Kudos to our great waiter Mr. Lawrence Jackson and his servers whom were exceptional! My family are great tippers, when he saw his tip he couldn't believe it. Just to see the joy on his face, and that made our day even more joyful

Great food; great service. I wanted to take my wife out for a special meal and this was the perfect night. Not only did we have a great time, but we had a tremendously enjoyable evening. The setting was nice enough to call romantic and comfortable enough to enjoy the night out without feeling we we the only patrons. We started the evening off with their bread and some mocktails, which perfectly balanced the flavors. For starters we had the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella, and oh my gosh, so good. We also had soup, which were delicious. I had the French onion, and my wife a squash soup. For our main meal I went with the bone-in ribeye, and my wife the sliced filet mignon with cipollini onions. While I would say my steak was good, my wife's was great. For a (large) side we had the au gratin potatoes, which is the way to go. We capped everything off with one shared dessert, a chocolate espresso cake, which was smooth and creamy. Delish. And for the record, we left stuffed, satisfied, and with leftovers.

I'm giving them a 5 star review because the food and service are normally top notch! The restaurant has a great ambiance! The service is always amazing! They are definitely professional about offering a great dining experience. Their calamari is one of the best in a area. Try the prosciutto wrapped cheese! I ordered a ribeye and unfortunately it was a bit overcooked 2x and had a heavy, overpowering balsamic taste. The mashed potatoes, asparagus and lobster Mac and cheese helped make up for the less than perfect steak.

Whenever there is a special event at Fairfax Capital Grille, I love to be there for the delicious food, wine and especially the ambiance. Such a special event is their Wagyu and Wine. If you haven't yet, you need to go while it's going on. It's only for a limited time. I enjoyed it twice this year so far! I love to take home part of my meal and stretch that wonderful rich taste of Wagyu and the Truffle Fries as well as the House-made Chips. There is even a Chips and Caviar version, if you can indulge! It's wise to make reservations so that you can be seated in the area of your choice in the restaurant. There are even Private Dining Rooms and they are beautifully intimate.

Made a reservation online for 6:30pm on a Friday but arrived early. My party was able to be seated without any issues. I will say, the restaurant started getting busy a little later so something to keep in mind. Went for a birthday dinner and let the restaurant know in the online reservation details. They added some "flair" to the table, which was a nice touch. Had the crab and lobster crab cake as an appetizer. It was delicious! The menu said it was for 2, but it's just 1 large crab cake, fyi. Had the salmon as an entree and the other person had steak. Both were tasty. Also added asparagus as a side because I didn't notice that the menu mentioned that the salmon came with green beans (it does so I must have missed that). Our server brought out a complimentary dessert for the birthday, which was a nice touch. Overall a nice experience.

The food was amazing and our server Jose was the BEST!!! My steak was cooked to perfection and the entire table was kneaded with their food!

The Capital Grille in Tysons Virginia was an excellent choice for dinner and they also always have one of the best service. Food came out fairly timed considering a busy Saturday night. Valet parking is the only option and it was only $5, I was surprised how quickly they were able to greet me with a line four cars deep. I tried to tip the driver however he kindly said it can be done upon leaving if needed. The dry aged Kona steak was quite large and cooked exactly how I liked, the thick cut was ordered medium rare and the color in the center was precise. The highlight was the breads, both the raisin rye bread and the sourdough onion bread were so tasty. I would like to compliment the server for staying professional and brisk although one of the trays tilted and spilled onto my shirt sleeve, she was very apologetic and quickly came back with an extra napkin and attention to help absorb the excess water. The overall night was very pleasant and I will be happy to come back and enjoy another occasion.

One of my favorite seafood and steak restaurants in the DMV. The service is excellent, the restaurant is sophistically decorated and the food is always consistent. My favorite cocktails are their Stoli Doli and Dirty martini. Their seafood tower is always fresh and easy to eat. On this occasion they had a porterhouse special that my husband and I shared. They pre-sliced so it was easy to divide in half. My only complaint would be I wish they had specials on desserts but what they do have is consistently good.

Pretty good. Stopped here for dinner while charging our car on our way back from the airport, and service was friendly and fast. White tablecloths and most people were up dressed, but they didn't make a fuss and I didn't feel any judgement about me and my hoodie and sandals (eep). I loved this onion bread that they had in the bread basket... It came out toasty, warm and savory. I didn't care too much for the other breads which is surprising because I love rye bread--the one in our basket was a bit cold and hard. I liked the variety in the basket though. The sea bass was good -- it was a bit on the overcooked side, but the sauce made up for the slight dryness. I liked the mushroom and asparagus, and the sauce wasn't overpowering to any of the food's flavors. The Mac and cheese was a bit watery, but after mixing it and letting it sit a little bit it was fine. Good chunks of lobster and the pasta cut was interesting! Overall, would definitely come back.

I will say the restaurant is elegant and beautiful, and the food was savory and sweet just amazing, but it is the staff who went above and beyond to make the high tea memorable. This is my third bridal shower. I have given at the Ritz Carlton in Tyson's corner, and I would go no other place. Let me start out by mentioning a few exceptional people. I started planning this in the beginning of the year and Sriram Hariharan is one of the most giving, caring and supportive person I know. He put me in touch with all the right resources. He would follow up to see how things are going. I would say his detail to customer service and experience is exceptional. Next is Rohit Ray who assisted every step of the way helping me with my attendee numbers , the set up design and more. He was there throughout the whole party. Rohit's kindness and grace that is unwavering. Finally, our server Astrid. She oversaw my last shower in January and I know we were in good hands when I saw her last Saturday. she is truly A+. She made sure the event went smoothly. Was proactive in helping us get things organized, and when one of the guests reported she was a vegetarian she made changes so her tea party food was vegetarian. The entire celebration was impeccable. I had 26 people attend and one person shared they've experienced three high teas in London and the experience at this party was the best one yet. After the party ended, I received so many calls telling me how elegant the party was, how exceptional the service was. And how wonderful all the food was. I will give honorable mention to Smail and the director of valet who helped us bring up the party favors and flowers and more. my heart is full. It was a magical experience we will continue to talk about.

Dinner menu seems to be the same as the dinner menu from last year. Breakfast we ordered the chicken and waffles and also the lobster eggs Benedict. The chicken and waffle was cooked fresh. Chicken crispy and juicy. Waffle fluffy. The lobster Benedict was a let down. Eggs were cooked nicely but the lobster bits were mushy. Overall the room was nice and the food was hit or miss.

My mom is extraordinarily sensitive to anything remotely "spicy"--even black pepper can be a problem, and sometimes arugula! Our server David listened carefully to her concerns and made sure the chef knew exactly what she needed. David and Ceara were both fantastic--warm, attentive, and incredibly personable. They really listened to Mom and made an effort to engage with her. Mom eventually started telling jokes, including a few that were definitely on the bawdy side. David and Ceara were wonderful sports and laughed right along with her. They made her feel welcome rather than simply accommodated, and that distinction meant a lot to all of us. Clarity gave us delicious food and excellent service, but more importantly, they helped make my mother feel celebrated on her 91st birthday. Chef Jon Krinn's menus and his warm, personal touch with diners made the place special. After he left, Chef Tracy O'Grady admirably revived it with creative new menu concepts, and under Chef Danny Ahn the brand has now expanded to a Reston location. Through it all, bartender Victor has been a steady, caring presence -- even as service slowed and courses started taking a long time to arrive. After one visit where we waited 50 minutes for dessert, we stayed away for a while. We decided to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The new manager, Jeff Miller, and the rest of the staff greeted us warmly, but the dining room was nearly empty, and the air conditioning was set to meat-locker levels. Victor had the day off. Clarity is known for a daily-changing tasting menu, and we were looking forward to that night's advertised special -- giant tiger prawns, lobster and black truffle risotto, and venison. Instead, we were handed a menu with octopus, cod loin, and duck -- solid dishes, but standard fare you'll find at plenty of restaurants in the area, not the standout the website promised. We ordered from the regular menu instead. For appetizers, we each got the grilled Wellfleet and Old Salt oyster platter. For entrées, my spouse ordered the yellowfin tuna with tiger shrimp; I asked if I could get the Maryland soft-shell crabs as an entrée with two crabs instead of one. The waiter said no and suggested I add a sweet corn bisque to round out the meal. When he mentioned to the manager that we were unhappy, Jeff offered to plate two crab appetizers together for double the appetizer price. I happily agreed. The manager explained that website updates were no longer handled in-house, that the tasting menu posted online hadn't actually been available for months, that other guests had complained about the same thing, and that the takeout/pickup menu was also wrong -- to the point that he' had just contacted customers to tell them their online orders couldn't be fulfilled. Service was slow, and the waiter never told us which oysters were Wellfleet and which were Old Salt. To kitchen's credit, the portions were generous, properly cooked, and genuinely tasty. The dessert menu seemed uninspired, so I asked about a double shot of Angel's Envy rye instead. It had always been reasonably priced when Victor poured it -- generously, too. This time, I overheard the manager quote the waiter $56. A 750ml bottle (25 oz) currently retails at Virginia ABC for about $75, or $3/oz -- so $56 for a double shot works out to about $18.67 per ounce. I said that wasn't acceptable. At that point, the manager repeated, for the fourth time, that he was still on the phone trying to get the website fixed. I told him his reiterated efforts might help future diners, but it didn't help us that evening. He said Victor had trained him and that he was charging what Victor would charge -- I told him I didn't believe that, since Victor had always been fair and accommodating. I also said that as the manager overseeing service, he should be checking the website' daily for accuracy himself. He then offered to pay for my "cocktail" out of his own pocket. Before I could point out that a shot of whiskey isn't a cocktail, my spouse asked him to just leave us alone. We paid and left feeling genuinely sad to see a restaurant we loved fall this far.

If you're Korean, and you're looking for the traditional affair, this is not it. I'd take a client or friends here who aren't Korean. It's catered more towards non-Koreans IMO. They're selling this as an upscale spot and while the quality of meat is pretty darn good, you have to ask for lettuce and garlic - the two items always present at a traditional k bbq. It kind of sh*ts on the tradition by doing that. Why not provide that to give the full experience we all expect? I love luxury dining as much as anyone else but this was a colossal waste of money. I come to this shopping center multiple times a week since I live in McLean and almost always miss that this exists. They also have barstools outside facing the bar indoors but it's just so awkward. The sidewalk of this area is not built for that! Great idea (usually), but terrible execution. There's so many Korean bbq places nearby. I'm glad I tried this place to kill my curiosity of what they do different. Again, great spot if you want in bbq in a more upscale atmosphere, but it's more or less "fusion," and I'd be good with a business dinner here. Service was impeccable though. I appreciated the promptness in attending to our needs. The savory dishes btw- the dwenjangjiggae is awful. Lacks depth, flavor, and just overall was very meh. It was much appreciated. As for the food it was hit and miss. Since the sauce was extremely flavorful I forced my husband to share some of the skimpy sauce to dip my pizza crust on it. Luckily the guys had enough of the wonderful fried mozzarella and bread to not be grumpy. One tip that our whole party agreed on was that the sauce was better suited if it was paired with chunks of lobsters instead of of the stuffed short rib raviolis. I was happy with size of my thin crust pizza and it was way more than I could eat. However, I am not sure if I was actually ok with how the ingredients were divided jn the quarter a fourth of the pizza contained olives ,another fourth was the mushrooms, ,another fourth was the prosciutto and for the life of me I could not remember the fourth ingredient. I'm still ponedering whether I am a fan of this. My friend had the Marguerite pizza and she was extremely satisfied with it. As to the place itself, it's nothing fancy, it's just your typical pizza place in a strip mall. It's just ok. One thing I noticed about it is the dim lighting, but to be fair it's a normal complaint for most eating establishments. We all had to break out our IPhone flashlights to read the menu. I wish most eateries would have a dimmer switch by your table so that when you are ordering, there is sufficient lighting as you read the menu and when done can be adjusted to mood lighting. I noticed most of the upper forties and up patrons did the same thing as us when ordering.
