A top-notch KBBQ place! All you can eat (AYCE) for $36 dinner price at the time of this review. Service - will talk about the great food in just a bit, but the service really stood out. When comparing KBBQ places I think the meats are usually somewhat similar so service is a key differentiating factor. Everyone and everything were SO fast! When we sat down, the table was already pre-set with the sauces, as well as some vegetables on the grill. Waiter came by and she quickly and accurately took our orders. Meats and extra sides we requested came out immediately. Whenever we were almost done with our portion, they would prompt us if we wanted to place another order. Fantastic and super efficient, it was a great experience, clearly the kitchen and team here run very well. - Spicy squid - tasty and soft texture, very nicely made - Garlic cube steak - didn't love the flavor but the texture was really nice and tender - Hanging steak - delicious!! Cooked with butter and rosemary in front of you. Probably the best Korean bbq place in the area. For what you get, the AYCE price is great. I've been to both of their locations, just down the street from one another - service is excellent at each. I often come here with big groups, always making a reservation beforehand and have had no trouble with long waits. Cast Iron Pot is my go-to spot for birthdays and big group events. Their meats are high quality and are cooked perfectly, and the side dishes are delicious. I suggest getting the bean paste soup, spicy rice cakes, and steamed egg. Came here for lunch. Pretty good set up. The tables are set so that you are six feet away from everyone. They have a great selection of meats that you can choose from at a very affordable price. The alcohol prices were also shockingly low. They had hand sanitizer when you walked in but none at the table, but that's fine. When you sit, they are already grilling mushrooms, onions, bean sprouts and kimchi for you which is a nice touch. They come and cook the meat for you also which is nice, although not really covid friendly, but the lazy person in me enjoyed it. Overall, I would suggest the bulgogi and the marinated pork (galbi). Those were the stars of the meal. Grilled vegetables were zuchinni and peppers. Also be weary of getting the spicy chicken (buldak chicken). The ventilation is not great and when they started cooking it, the pepper must have flown into the air and started to make everyone cough. They had to take it off and cook it on the side for us. They don't offer much banchan but will provide kimchi and dipping sauces. They only provide bottled water if you ask otherwise they expect you to purchase drinks from their extensive menu. My friends have gassed this place up so much and I'm happy to say that it lived up to its expectations! (It's so popular that they've even opened up a cast iron 2 and 3 in the same area) I would highly recommend going here with a fairly larger group unless you have a HUGE appetite. The lunch special here is a great deal ($25/person) for a LOT of food. When we went, it was rainy and cold outside so this was the perfect meal to warm us up! They have moved to indoor dining, but guests are still seated far apart and it wasn't too packed when we went. The staff did a fantastic job at being attentive and were also super friendly- one of the best things here (unlike most kbbq places) is that they grill your meat for you! Kpop playing on big screens. Packed to the brim by 7 pm on weekends. Fresh, not frozen, high quality meats, that the servers actually serve to you and cook for you on the grill. No dirty buffet line. Lots of good choices - pork belly, pork jowl, bulgogi, garlic steak, squid, etc. They don't have galbi but they have very delicious marinated pork rib instead. I was sad that there was no shrimp :( and the second time we went no jap chae. But the other foods make up for it. Another reviewer mentioned they don't serve free tap water. The thing is I think their banchan are lacking a bit - they didn't have the radish banchan or many other ones that I really was looking forward to eating. They basically only had kimchi. Other than that, no banchan. Pricing is a bit steep, I think, for dinner. Lunch is cheaper but you don't get all the options of dinner. If you come on a weekend or holiday, it'll be dinner prices and options all day. It's definitely worth coming here if you are going to eat a ton!! Take full advantage of all their meat options!! Did the AYCE dinner, we really liked the garlic beef cubes and bulgogi. the wait staff do the cooking for you, which we didn't expect. We rather do the cooking ourselves, having the wait staff do the cooking for everyone in addition to taking orders snd requests puts a lot of mental and physical load on a person, and mistakes can happen. There were a few times our wait staff forgot to put in our orders but we didn't get upset because everyones running around cooking and etc for other tables. The extended menu Items have almost returned to original quality and some items have gone due to lack of demand and they will be missed. I recommend Cast Iron Pot Classic to anyone who's looking for moderately priced, good hospitality, and portions that don't feel stingy. Min, Gyu, and Shawn are my top waiters here as a regular patron. The staff here is very fluid in service and cooking experience. If anyone tells you otherwise of any other spot in North Bergen try this place above all. This review is long overdue. I come here about once a week to every two weeks. The food is top notch and the service is even better. All of the servers are really nice (shout out to Eun and Sean), and they really do take care of you. This is an AYCE Korean BBQ; the food is cooked to perfection on a grill infront of you. You are also served vegetables, rice, onion salad, cabbage salad, and some different condiments to dip your meats in. On the menu, you have plenty of meats to pick from. The only downside to this restaurant is that they do not serve galbi. They also have a variety for alcohol, however, they do not have a huge cocktail menu. Cast Iron serves a variety of Soju and Korean beer. This place is heaven away from home for me. The food is fantastic, and the service is even better. read more

Wow! Never have I ever eaten so much meat before! I definitely walked out of this place with a food baby. I have only been to this place twice. It is an all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ restaurant. I usually come for the lunch special which is about $17 per person (not including tax and tip). I think this is a pretty good deal for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. When you are seated, they have some sauces, vegetables, salad, prepared for you. Most of the meat there is really good (like their pork belly), some are a bit questionable (like their bulgogi), but overall not bad. The waiters will take your order of what you want and when they bring it out, they help you cook it. The staff are all very friendly. However, at one point, our waiter changed and when we ordered beef thin brisket, he brought out something else. It was fine that he brought out the wrong meat, but they never changed our stove either. So, the meat was overcooked and burnt. The meat was too dry and super difficult to finish. It sucks because we will get charged extra if there is additional food leftover. Overall, this place is not bad-- definitely a great place to visit for those meat lovers. read more

Parking is valet but it's free. Just have to tip the valets. The wait is usually between 20 minutes or up to an hour. But not going to lie it's worth the wait! Seating is based on how large your party is and they usually don't take reservations. So I will say it's hard to seat groups or more than 4 during a dinner rush and definitely on weekend. They have all sorts of marinaded chicken. Spicy marinaded chicken was also one of my favorites. My least favorite was the intestine. I've had intestine before, but most times there's nothing in them. This one was stuffed. Not my fav. But still good. I like how the servers cook it for you and they basically separate the portions, so if you're eating with another person, it's not awkward to take the last bite. Or hog food. Since it's on your side.
