If I wanted to order from Captain D's, I would have. This is terrible. Leftover baked potato. Who knew that fish came in uniform blocks?

Don't waste your money ordering from here. All it is is a rebranded menu. When the food shows up it is from Captain D's.

She even gave me some life advice. Never knew but will forever use. Lee was shucking the oysters and I got a dozen to start. No cocktail sauce. No mignonette. A sauce I have never seen. OMG. Kimchi vinaigrette. Great! Highly recommend! Taverna Oceana is a place I would absolutely return to. If you go I hope Rachel is at the bar and Lee shucks your oysters. They are what make the place!

It was naturally lit, clean, and bright making the room feel intimate but not cramped. There was no overwhelming music, just a subtle hostess playlist in the background that allowed us to talk comfortably and enjoy the moment without competing with noise. The restaurant smelled clean and fresh. Not overly bleached, not heavy with fragrance. Just well kept. Temperature is a big one for me. I'm always cold and typically bring a sweater everywhere. I was completely comfortable the entire time, which honestly impressed me. The staff was exceptional. Dakota struck the perfect balance of attentiveness. Present, warm, and responsive without hovering. Managing a group of about 20 women is no small task, and everything flowed smoothly. Now the food. Not a single complaint from a table full of women, that's huge! I made it my business to ask around and every response was great. I ordered the blue crab eggs Benedict with the parmesan truffle fries and everything was wonderful. My friend ordered the prime rib sandwich and it was a generous portion and she loved it. Pricing felt appropriate for the quality and overall experience. I'll absolutely be returning with my husband soon, and I would confidently recommend Taverna Oceana for private gatherings, celebrations, or simply a well-executed brunch in San Marco.

Pair it with the crème fraîche on either the toasted bread or the chips, and muah perfection! Personally, I preferred it with the chips since I found the toasted bread a little too salty. * The Tuna Carpaccio was a surprising 10/10. We sliced it into strips, making sure each bite had the comb crisps, basil aioli, yuzu aioli, Florida sterlet caviar, micro arugula, and mushrooms. Oh my god! the flavors were incredible. The tuna made each bite light and refreshing, while all the other ingredients layered together beautifully, revealing new flavors as you kept chewing. * The oysters were another 10/10. They were incredibly fresh, and pairing them with the sorbet created such a refreshing combination. The kimchi dropper was just okay, I was hoping for more heat. The mignonette dropper, though, was absolutely delicious and complemented the oysters perfectly. * The Charred Octopus gets a 9/10. The octopus was wonderfully tender, but I wished the chorizo flavor came through more. The fregola was fantastic, it was satisfying and filling without feeling too heavy. * The Mussels Frites earns an 8/10. The fries were perfectly seasoned and honestly one of my favorite parts of the dish. The mussels were good, but like the octopus, I expected a stronger chorizo flavor. * The Burgundy Escargot is a solid 10/10. Absolutely delicious! The rich bone marrow melted in your mouth, and it paired so well with the escargot. Such a creative combination that worked beautifully. * The outdoor seating was wonderful! Even though it was raining, it was still very comfortable thanks to the fans nearby, so it never felt hot or humid. The ambiance was elegant yet relaxing, making it the perfect spot for a romantic date night, a special birthday celebration, or any gathering with family and friends. The overall vibe made the experience even more memorable. Lastly, a special shout-out to our server, Colette! She was wonderful from start to finish! She was always cheerful, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. She took the time to explain the dishes, answered all of our questions with a smile, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable.

Somehow Brine has mastered the craft of being on a patio but still being comfortable and elevated. This restaurant is a true gem and worth every single penny. Jean-Luc and Sean were exceptional and made our experience hard to forget. Came on a slow Monday night and we couldn't believe there was not more people. We also appreciated that multiple staff members wished us a happy anniversary, which made the evening feel special. That said, for a nearly $400 dinner, the level of service didn't quite match the price point. Our server was very kind and pleasant, but she appeared inexperienced. She spent about five minutes struggling to open our $130 bottle of wine and, while everyone has to learn somewhere, it felt uncomfortable for that learning experience to happen tableside during such an expensive meal. There were also several menu availability issues. The restaurant didn't have the 2016 wine we initially ordered, and we were told it had been unavailable for the past four weeks. They also didn't have the first bourbon my husband selected for his Old Fashioned. At that point, it seems reasonable to update or reprint the menu so guests aren't repeatedly ordering items that haven't been available for an extended period of time. The timing of service also felt off. We were expecting our bottle of wine to be delivered and uncorked before our meal arrived, especially after taking additional time to select a replacement bottle. Instead, our entrées were delivered within minutes while we were still waiting for the wine, which made the experience feel rushed and a bit awkward. At this price point, we expected better coordination between beverage and meal service. None of these issues ruined our evening, and we still enjoyed celebrating our anniversary there. The atmosphere remains a highlight, but for a nearly $400 dining experience, we expected a more polished and seamless level of service to match the overall ambiance and price point.

The food, the service, the romantic atmosphere they never miss. First off, Faith is MY GIRL She's amazing and always takes such good care of us. This visit we did the caviar service and oysters from Washington and YUMMM. So fresh! I also really loved that they sell Veuve Clicquot by the glass instead of only by the bottle you honestly rarely see that and I thought it was such a nice touch. For dinner, I had the Chilean sea bass with risotto and OMG... I LOVE risotto and this dish was everything. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, comforting, just sooo good. For dessert we had the banana foster with an espresso martini and it was the perfect ending to dinner. One thing about this place it's kind of hidden next to a gas station, so you could easily miss it but honestly the best spots always are.

The purple Murray was refreshing- gin, st Germaine & lemon juice garnished with mint and lemon rind. All salads were fresh & crunchy from the Caesar with a crisp Parmesan wafer , The beet & kale with goat cheese & mandarins to the classic wedge. We should and stopped there. All our main entrees were loaded with salt. 1)- NY strip with shrimp and an order of sautéed spinach... the steak cooked perfect and tasty. The shrimp were grilled and salty as for the spinach it was bathed in salt. I had to return it but the second was less salty but still over salted. 2)The crab cakes were salty. 3)The blackened fish special over risotto was loaded with salt. The entire party of 4 felt our dinner entrees were over salted. Unfortunately we don't think we would return. This was a difficult review to write.
