Today, my mom and I had lunch at The Cheesecake Factory while shopping at the Glendale Americana. I've been going to this place since maybe 20 years ago, so for a really, really long time. I've probably been there dozens of times, but I think this was my first visit in years, so it's been a while. I think my last memory of going there was about five years ago. At the time, even our relatives who live in Orange County came up for a birthday party. We had to wait for an incredibly long time that day (since they don't take reservations and it's first-come, first-served). I think we waited for over two hours. The manager apologized for making us wait so long and I think they gave us something complimentary at that time, but even so, we never went back there after that day. Since then, I think we've only occasionally ordered takeout from them. And today, for the first time in a long time, we actually went in and had lunch. I didn't know this, but they have a lunch special. I only found out after sitting at our table and looking at the menu. We both ordered our absolute favorite dishes. I got the Chicken Piccata, and my mom ordered the Shrimp Scampi ($28.95). Since they are our favorite items on the menu, they were really delicious. I ordered my Chicken Piccata from the lunch special ($19.50), and my mom ordered hers from the regular menu. We really enjoyed the meal. Also, our server was super friendly, which was good. Especially since it was the middle of the day on a weekday, it was so nice that we didn't have to wait at all and got seated right away. The portion sizes aren't small, so we got full pretty quickly (especially because their bread and butter are so good that we filled up on bread before our entrees). We asked for to-go boxes and a plastic bag, which she brought out for us. However, the plastic bags she gave us were too small, so on our way out, I asked our server if they had a larger one. She told me to ask the front desk. When I asked the front desk, they told me to check with the Bakery section. I asked them, and they happily gave me a large plastic bag, which was great. Note: There was a sign saying that tomorrow, July 30th, is National Cheesecake Day, so for tomorrow only, any slice is half price. We feel like we've been consuming too much sugar lately, so we skipped dessert today (for blood sugar control and overall health), and we won't be going back to eat cheesecake tomorrow either. But The Cheesecake Factory's cheesecake is undeniably good, so I think this will be great information for people who love their cakes. We didn't know about this promotion beforehand; we only found out by seeing the sign hanging up while we were there. And my mom treated me to lunch here today, so I had a really delicious meal. Food is good, but the customer service is horrible, omg. I get it, maybe you guys don't get paid much, but what happened to a basic "hello"? We walked in and as we were heading toward the host stand, the hosts were just staring at us with blank faces. We get up there and there's not even a smile or a "hi," just "How many?" Like... okay Then they take us to our table, put the menus down, and just walk away without saying anything. Then when our food came out, the food runners basically just dropped everything in the middle of the table and walked away. No "Here you go," no asking who ordered what, nothing. Our waitress, though, was amazing! She was super nice and attentive, and we really appreciated her. The food itself was good too. We've been coming to The Cheesecake Factory in Glendale for years, and this is honestly the first time we've had such a disappointing experience before even being seated. The front desk hostess was rude, unwelcoming, and seemed like she genuinely didn't want to be there. There was no smile, no greeting, and no effort to make guests feel welcome. Hospitality starts the moment you walk through the door, and unfortunately, that was completely missing. I had already checked in and later received the text message that our table was ready. I didn't notice the message right away, but when I approached the hostess, instead of politely explaining the situation, she responded with, "We sent you a text and you didn't check in with me," in a dismissive and unfriendly tone. I explained that I simply hadn't seen the message yet, but there was no understanding or courtesy--just attitude. It costs nothing to be kind. A simple smile or a polite explanation would have completely changed the interaction. The Cheesecake Factory isn't exactly an inexpensive place to dine, and guests naturally expect good hospitality along with the meal. While we've always enjoyed coming here, this experience left a poor impression. Came in for lunch with my 90 year old mom. Sweet waitress and love the many choices on the menu. I got a a Strawberry Lemonade with sugar on the rim, mom got a fancy non alcoholic fruit beverage, we then ate their fresh brown and white bread while it is still hot with fresh butter. YUMMY!! We then ordered our meals. I got an Asian beef steak pieces with fresh veggies and noodles. Mom got taquitos that looked like the chef had gone to an art class! So pretty their plates of food are. We topped it off with a large piece of coconut cheesecake! Sinfully good!!! We come here often but I try new things and lord was it delicious!!! My favorite Cheesecake Factory, it beats the Grove! Had a great first visit here this week. It was super busy on a Wednesday night, but the staff did a great job at coordinating seats, so the 20-minute wait felt like a breeze. Menu is hefty so be prepared to make some important decisions! Don't forget to munch on the brown bread while you're browsing. Good options for appetizers include any of the spring rolls like the cheeseburger, avocado or tex mex ones, fried pickles, Korean cauliflower or truffle fries. For entrees, the pastas are probably the best value, just ignore the calorie count. Most of them can be split into 2-3 meals too because that's how huge the portions are. You can tell the food is made fresh in-house; everything was tasty. My family and I stopped here for dinner, and we were completely satisfied with our dining experience from start to finish. Upon entering, we were greeted by a female employee within fifteen seconds. We were also advised that the wait would be a minute or two. The wait was actually twenty seconds. Truly impressed with the service so far. Came on a Sunday for lunch and had a great time. It was easy making a reservation online. I've been to multiple other Cheesecake locations but this one is impressed me with their attentiveness and friendly service. I ordered the Barbeque Ranch Chicken Salad dinner portion and it was GINORMOUS! It came with romaine topped with black beans, avocado, cucumber, fried crispy red onions, grilled chicken, grilled corn, whole cherry tomatoes, all tossed in their delicious barbecue ranch dressing! So so good! My friend ordered the Lemon-Garlic Shrimp angel hair pasta and she really enjoyed her entree as well. I stopped in at The Cheesecake Factory before heading to the airport on my vacation to Glendale. I really loved the shopping area around it and found myself there several times during my stay. We ate at the bar for a quick bite and drink to hold us over before our plane ride. Yet to receive anything with leaks or food tossed around. Had a few friends over so ordered a variety of items and ALL were delicious! I won't name them as you can see pics but their food is always so consistent with quality ingredients with perfect amount of spices or sauces. December was obviously not a good month for me to eat out. I went to cheesecake factory in Glendale with a friend and the whole meal was disappointing. My friend ordered the Santa Fe salad and the chicken was missing. When it was pointed out they just threw unseasoned chicken on top of the salad. She picked and did not finish her food. The tamales were mushy and something I never tasted before. My tasteless unspicy Louisiana shrimp/chicken was drowning in overcooked pasta which reminded me of the pasta from the Campbell's can when I was a child. I did ask the waitress for spicy seasoning but changed my mind as I did not want to be the chef at my table. I honestly had two forkfulls and could not go forward. It was just horrible. I asked for another order of bread and drank my club soda. The pina colada went back also since I did not have food. . My waitress mentioned they were short-handed on the floor and the kitchen. My now fiancée and I always go with our old-reliable Four Cheese Pasta and Pepperoni Flatbread. Even our now 3-year-old loves the pasta from Cheesecake Factory. We've been coming here for years, and they never disappoint with their quality and portions. Our waitress was very attentive and was always checking up on us, making sure everything was up to par and if we needed refills on our drinks. I did try something new today, their Crispy Fried Cheese (I could've sworn it was mozzarella sticks), which I want to say I've had before. But this time it was 10x better. Was visiting Los Angeles and decided to visit The Cheesecake Factory. Wanted to compare with the one in the SF Bay area. My first impression was how busy and clean this restaurant was compared to the one in SF. The wait time wasn't too bad either. The menu was the same but the service was much better here. Our waiter was attentive and our food came quickly. We started with the crispy brussel sprouts for appetizer. Oh, what a treat! It was baked or fried to perfection. One of us ordered the Sheppards Pie. It was very good, the meat was full of flavor and the mash potatoe and cheese was perfect. Highly recommend. I stopped by around 4pm on a weekday & while there was a wait to be seated, it was only about 10 minutes...very reasonable considering the place was kinda busy (not packed but lively). I ordered the chicken & biscuits appetizer, which took over 20 minutes to arrive. (Thank goodness for the bread basket as that delicious, signature brown bread & butter held me over.) The presentation wasn't impressive: Two small biscuits each with a little chicken tender inside. I can only HOPE that this dish wasn't actually 1240 calories as listed on the menu, because I don't even see how that could be possible but I digress. The chicken was bland however once I drizzled the hot honey sauce over it (the menu stated it was hot honey butter which clearly wasn't the case as it was a thin, dark sauce served in a gravy boat), the taste improved. The biscuits themselves were on the sweeter side & may have been sitting on the counter/under a heat lamp for some time before making their way to me as the top halves were overly crunchy. For dessert, I got the key lime cheesecake & it was the perfect marriage of sweetness & tartness. The best part of my dining experience, however, was my server. By the time our food finally arrived, it was cold and clearly had been sitting for a while. What made it even more disappointing was that we were there to celebrate my mom's birthday. The worst hostess (the girl with shoulder length black hair) I have ever experienced from Cheesecake Factory. Checked in on Mother's Day evening. My wife, our 5 year old daughter and I were very hungry. Upon checking in, we were told it would be 30-45 minutes wait. We understood due to Mother's Day. So the hostess with black shoulder length hair asked for my name and phone number. She told us we would be notified by text message. After waiting for a while, I decided to go back and ask how many people are ahead of us because I am only getting one bar of AT&T signal, and I don't see any text that says we have been checked in and on wait list. I went back to that hostess again to ask and instead of her answering my question, she told me I have only been checked in for 13 minutes and it would be 30 minutes wait. I told her again that I just wanted to know how many people are ahead of us because I don't have good signal on my phone (see my photo). She cuts me off and said you'll get a text message. She went to check our name ( I don't think she found us) and quickly seated us. Three problems 1: Rude hostess 2: They don't make use of overhead intercom to call the party. Just shouting for the party name isn't good technique. People can easily miss their name. 3: Unless you are certain everyone's phone signals are strong, relying on text messaging is bad idea. We sat for a long time to be greeted, which was ok ... but after we finally ordered I was told my choice wasn't available, so I asked for the menu to choose a replacement order (to go along with the one bar bite I ordered already). Ny server never came back to take my order. My wife and kids' food arrived (along with my bar bite) and I never got a chance to order anything else. The second time she visited our table was after the food came and I brought it to her attention that I never ordered. She pointed to her table station and expressed apologies and that she had so much going on. She offered to put in a quick order for me but I declined. My wife and kids were already half way done eating and I didn't want to wait. I was also never asked if I wanted a 2nd beer, which i did, but was never given the opportunity to order it. Again, the server is not at fault. I sympathized with her situation. This felt like a management problem... not enough servers and too many tables. Like other locations this Cheesecake Factory can get easily packed with long wait times. But it's still possible to do walk-ins and get a table at reasonable time (especially for smaller party size). Parking can be at the Americana and Cheesecake Factory does a two hour validation. It's a bit chaotic at the front getting everyone groups seated and dodging folks coming in and out. But once seated it a nice environment. Amazingly not too loud and you can chat with your party members. The service was quick and food arrived at a good pace. Our server was nice and friendly! I got the bacon-bacon burger. It was really good when hot, fresh, and juicy. But once it got cooled I didn't want to continue. It was also got really messy early on from too much sauce. Had a weird experience with the front counter. For a party of 13, we came an hour in advance to put our names down. They told us the wait was 1-1.5 hours, so we gave our phone number. 20 min later they called, and said the table was ready, but our party hadn't been there yet, because we were expecting the wait to be an hour. They said they had to place us back on the reservation list, which was fine. But that they had to do it in 10 min, for some reason. Portions are HUGE and the chicken was cooked really well. - Strawberry Cheesecake - 5/5 - always my go to, the strawberries and the cheesecake are a match made in heaven and why I keep coming back. I find this location hit or miss. I always get the same entree and some appetizers for the table. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it's lackluster. The nail in the coffin I had a server Ben who had on meta ray ban glasses, he was acting weird like he was being filmed. I don't know if he was live streaming but fu€k that!! Here's what I like about this Cheesecake Factory - you don't have to spend a lot. My friend and I don't have a lot of money (we're seniors), but we still like to go out. We each order the Little House Salad. It sounds small, but it's lots of mixed fresh greens with carrots and tomatoes, and one of their delicious salad dressings. We also get a child-sized order of fries and split that. Their French fries are fantastic. Fresh, hot and just enough salt. They bring their great bread and butter too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So, for very little money (considering prices these days) we have a really nice lunch in a pretty restaurant and then walk around Americana.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The servers are always nice, and we have a good time. This is by far the best Cheesecake Factory in the entire Los Angeles area ! I have been to every Cheesecake Factory in Los Angeles since moving here from New York in 1992, and until now I have never felt compelled to write a review about any of my experiences. That changed when I visited the Cheesecake Factory at the Americana in Glendale. The food preparation was exceptional and flawless. You can tell that the team in the kitchen pays close attention to every detail to ensure that each dish is the very best it can be. These days, it's not uncommon to encounter restaurants where the quality can be inconsistent, but that is definitely not the case here. What stood out to me the most was having the pleasure of meeting Raz, the General Manager of this location. Raz is an extremely personable and professional leader. It was immediately apparent why this restaurant operates at such a high level. The professionalism he brings to the job clearly resonates throughout the entire staff, creating an environment where everyone is committed to doing their best and providing an outstanding guest experience. I happened to be in the area for an appointment and don't live in Glendale, yet I would gladly make the drive past the two Cheesecake Factory locations that are closer to me just to dine here ! read more

I'd give no stars. I am very disappointed with my recent experience at The Cheesecake Factory in Glendale. On June 26, my sister took me to dinner for my birthday weekend. My birthday was the day before, so we were looking forward to enjoying a nice meal together. Instead, the evening was overshadowed by an interaction that left both of us feeling uncomfortable. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before we even walked into the restaurant, we passed the patio where there were several dogs sitting on guest chairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] As we walked by with my service dog, some of those dogs were barking at her while she remained focused and continued walking with me. Based on what I observed, it appeared there were multiple dogs on the patio, yet my service dog was the one who became the focus once we were inside. When we checked in, the host saw that I had a dog but never asked whether she was a service animal or asked any of the questions businesses are permitted to ask. We were simply seated inside. Then, while my sister and I were in the middle of eating, a woman who appeared to be the manager (brown hair) walked up to our table. She didn't introduce herself, greet us, or apologize for interrupting. She simply looked at me and said, "Service animals are not supposed to bark," then immediately turned around and walked away. My mouth was literally full of food, so I didn't even have the opportunity to respond or explain anything before she walked off. It was incredibly awkward. She made a statement, gave me no chance to speak, and left. My service dog is trained to bark as part of a medical alert task. Instead of asking a question or trying to understand the situation, she made an assumption and walked away without any conversation. What also confused me was this: if the restaurant truly had concerns about dogs being inside, why wasn't that addressed when I checked in? The host had every opportunity to speak with me before seating us. If management preferred that guests with dogs be seated on the patio, that could have been discussed before we were seated. Instead, we were seated inside without issue, only to have our dinner interrupted after we had already begun eating. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interaction completely changed the mood of what was supposed to be my birthday dinner. My sister and I felt uncomfortable for the rest of the meal.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Then, when we left, the same manager didn't thank us for coming in or wish us a good evening. Instead, she stared at us as we walked out, making us feel even more unwelcome. I've recently experienced another uncomfortable interaction regarding my service dog at a different restaurant, so this was especially upsetting. Guests with disabilities deserve to be treated with respect. If there is a concern, there is a professional way to handle it--with a conversation, not an assumption. I will be contacting corporate because I believe management and staff would benefit from additional training on how to appropriately interact with guests accompanied by service animals. My birthday weekend should have ended with a nice dinner with my sister, not with another experience that left me feeling embarrassed and singled out. read more

Another day, another Cheesecake Factory visit. Look, I hate the Americana as much as the next person. But I was here for an event that I unfortunately could not miss and thought I would find a safe haven within the gigantic walls of Rick Caruso's favorite factory. I was half right. It did take a while to get seated, even though my friend who is an esteemed member, had made a reservation prior. Nevertheless we persisted and found a booth with time to spare. I really can't be mad at my French dip burger! It was pretty damn good, cut into thirds for easy dipping. I ate 2/3s and finished off the remainder during my aforementioned later event. Last time I came to the Cheesecake Factory was in Marina Del Rey where I was convinced to have a few regrettable Long Islands. Today I stuck with the classic (spiked) lemonade. It was the more responsible decision. All in all would come back if somehow the Cheesecake Factory was lifted into the sky Sims-style and placed somewhere else outside of the Americana.
