I've been going here since I was a child...my downfall with them is...I house sit professionally and am in different homes a lot...they will not take a credit card order and deliver if the billing address is not the same as the house to be delivered to...sometimes I am at a friends house and we order food...but again they will not deliver if the billing and delivery address are not the same...but you can go in and pay...that is what they want...what service... and if you give them a time you will pick up your order it's another 15 - 20 minutes...I love wasting my time...don't you? read more

The Chopstick cooks their food right! They only use quality, fresh ingredients. There are some lunch specials that are just $4 and something cents. I love ordering the tin foil chicken and adding sarachi all over my rice. It taste good to me. I normally order schezuan shrimp chow mein and an order of wonton soup and its i would say i pay for what i get which is always satisfying, but the last time two time i order they mess up my order the first time was schezuan shrimp chow mein instead they gave me chicken the 2nd they gave me chicken again but without the noodles and i clearly said chow mein because he ask how i like my noodles so i dont get how they can take my order wrong i suggest you speak clear and check your order when you pick it up or delivered . read more

I've been coming to this place for years. The food is and always been so so. The price has always been good. Recently I called in an order for Chow main since it's a to go place. This was the worst Chow main I have ever ordered in my life. And this is in no way an exachuration. The guy behind the counter upon my returning for an exchange or refund was emotionally challenged to say the least. When we opened up the container to my dismay was a clump of cold burned stuck together noddles stacked in layers cold and broke the cheapest plastic fork I have ever used. So returning to ask wtf! The guy asked nothing! So I explained and showed him the noodles, if that's what you call it, he did not say I'm sorry or anything. Its certainly a hole-in-the wall kind of place, but you're not in there for the ambiance....you get in, get your food, and get out. Absolutely love this place. I have been enjoying their pan fried noodles since before I can remember and had it multiple times on birthdays growing up. I have tried to find places with similar noodles now that I live out of town, but nothing else compares. Will be needing to make a stop in Stockton soon for this yummy place. =) read more

Honestly it is one of the better hole in the wall joints (and I am a fan of hole in the wall kinda places) in Stockton. We enjoy the chow mein with pan fried noodles, which is heavy on the crunchy veggies. Lots of sautéed sprouts, fresh celery, onions, and greens. I grew up ordering the take-out here, but must admit they've changed the quality of the fried prawns. Tonight we ordered the fried prawns and wouldn't recommend them. We have been getting food from Chopsticks for at least 25 years or more. I am 68 so at least that long. Their food when delivered is fresh, hot and so tasty. NOT salty at all, the ribs are moist, chow mein is out of this world & so is all their veggies. Won Ton soup you would die for, that is my all time favorite... well it's all my favorite but the soup is comfort food for me. I love Chopsticks & I could go anywhere but I ALWAYS choose Chopsticks. I'm a native Stocktonian, grew up here during the 50s and 60s, I've seen the many changes that have occured during those years til now, many of them are very bad changes. The Chop Stick has been around for decades, It's just around the corner from what was Stockton High and later Stockton Junior High. A friend and I stopped by Chop Sticks last Sunday, I hadn't been there for 20 years, so I didnt know what to expect. Well I regret to report that a simple meal of Sweet 'N Sour Pork, Pork Fried Rice and Pork Chow mein was a disappointment, it tasted like shredded cardboard warmed over with soy sauce on it, no plum sauce or pineapple on the S&S pork...it was bland and boring. The cashier was friendly, but the food is not what I remember from years past, I'm sad to say that the Chop Stick exists in name only, the quality of their food had disappeared with the years. And it is very obvious that the once nice neighborhood that it's located in has went downhill, and is not an area you'd want to be in during daylight hours much less after dark. read more

Ok this is one of those places that you would never see if you weren't looking for it and from the outside would probably instill thoughts of a less than stellar meal. Oh how looks can be deceiving. First of all this place is take out only or delivery. The moment you walk in you notice the huge window to the very clean kitchen where you can watch them make your meal right in front of you. I always saw the kitchen staff washing their hands where appropriate and the people who take your order are always so pleasant. Now on to the food. I absolutely love the Tomato Beef Chow Mein. 1 order of it may seem like a side dish but trust me it is a meal unto itself and your taste buds will go crazy. It is not really that ketchup taste like sweet and sour but more of a fresh tomato taste with a nice delicate sweetness. Their combos are also huge. Definitely will make 2 meals out of one. I had the Kung Po beef and it was nice and spicy as well as flavorful just the way I like it. Only drawback is I'm not a big fan of their regular chow mein. I like more noodles and less veggies. Very horrible! I specifically asked the difference between spring and egg rolls. Was told by the guy at the counter egg rolls have meat and spring have only veggies (and no, I didn't know the difference as silly as it sounds). So I made my order and an order for a co-worker, both with egg rolls and not to mention my friend who came with me ordered egg rolls as well. Got back to the office, ate one and gave the other to another co-worker. Well, within 10 minutes one of my co-workers comes to me and asks if for sure I was told it had meat because her order was all veggies, NO MEAT! so my friend and I pick apart one of the egg rolls...AND NO MEAT! The mushroom could be mistaken for the color of meat. But NO MEAT! I confirmed with my other girlfriend and she said nope, no meat. I called to complain and spoke with the rude guy up front.
