I absolutely love this place. The service was quick, my waiter was absolutely the sweetest man alive, and the food was PHENOMENAL. I got the churro waffle and it was so delicious. It was very sweet, so if you like sweet things, this is a must have. The salted caramel ice cream was to die for and the waffles were so fluffy with a bit of tang (I SWEAR they used buttermilk!) I also got a cup of coffee to go with it and while it was just your generic cup of coffee, I loved that there were International Delight creamers and Half and Half on the table. BOOM!! This is how I felt when I walked out. Like I had just had a great meal in a small local restaurant that actually "gets" it. The meal not only brought value but great food! I think we came in during a time between breakfast and lunch because we were there with only one other party. This was relieving during this covid time, maybe more people were taking their food to go. Either way.....I wish I had a teleporter to have a great meal here every once in awhile. OMG this is our new favorite breakfast/brunch place. We live far away but drive all the way here for the experience. Everything on The menu is absolutely wonderful. We try something new each time. We also order an order of the churro waffles to share with the table, even the sides are worth the add-on. We bring friends if they're available and then they're hooked. The staff treats us like family... attentive, patient, accommodating... okay better than some families. Quick turnover of diners to keep the line short. Cold brew is my favorite here. It was ok ,I had to take care of some business and I was going to be on the north side so I definitely was hungry and craving some breakfast and I remember this place was on my last list to check out and so it all worked out. It was not crowded when I went in. I was seated right away. You can either get a paper menu or download the QR code to get your menu I have to go with my old standby which is chicken and waffles. I did decide to go with the fancy version of the chicken and waffles which is the churro and it's a company with caramel sauce brown sugar. It's really, really sweet. So if you don't like to have a very sweet breakfast, definitely don't choose that. Cuz I rubbed I shook I tapped it on my plate and that sugar just stayed on and it did lessen and flavor and they also get you give you syrup too which is too much of a sugar rush this particular one also came with ice cream but I asked for it to be served on the side near in the time that I was leaving. In retrospect I shouldn't have ordered it. It was way too much going on. I should have just got chicken and waffles with some fruit on it but me and my granny self had to have the deluxe and there you have it I did get a side of hash browns which I did not care for. They were really, really thinly shredded then like them but my eggs were prepared perfectly to fried eggs. Only if I'm going to be in a north side to come here. It's been some time since I've been back here and now that we are beginning to have warmer weather, a scoop of ice-cream served with their signature waffles will definitely hit the spot. My coffee took a while to be served initially and I had to request more. The food was phenomenal but the service was sub par. The chicken strips were so tender and flavored. The ice cream was rich. What a little breakfast gem! Needed a great homemade breakfast joint on the way out of town after a fun weekend in Wrigleyville. TCW really delivered. Brightly lit and cheery interior, wonderful Mexican music in the background, and currently they're all festooned for Christmas right down to the life sized dancing Grinch. Food tasted GREAT. I had a full stack of pancakes with apple compote--cakes were light and actually fluffy, and the apples tasted freshly diced and worked great with the butter and syrup. Four come in the full stack. You'll get full. We arrived about 11 a.m. on a Sunday and expected a wait, but got seated right away. Servers scurried to and fro to top off water glasses and coffee mugs. We never ran dry. Friendly service and great food! My partner and I stopped in this morning around 10:30 am and it was packed! Luckily there were one or two open tables so we were seated quickly. The hostess was friendly and we were asked if we wanted coffee immediately after being seated. The Churro Waffle with Fried Chicken was perfection. I wouldn't change a thing about it. The only thing we wished, was there was more of it, lol. The Nora's French Toast was delicious, we wish there was more of that as well. I wished very much that it had more cream cheese and caramel sauce on it. The Horchata Ice Coffee was good. Not too sweet, I had a shot of expresso in mine. I love that the staff was were very attentive and friendly. They won't give you napkins (other than the one around the utensils) or syrup unless you ask. Two things I didn't like, it felt a bit dusty in there and (we didn't get a picture) we ordered the Steak and Tomatillo Panini and the steak was not good. Tasted and smelled old. I knew something was off after the first bite and I used to work in a restaurant, I know when beef is bad, you can smell it, no matter how much you season it, if you have a good nose there is no masking that smell. They took it back and took it off my bill for me, but it was sad because we were at least enjoying the fries off the plate and didn't get to finish those either. Other than that, the place looked clean, the environment was chill and I love that they played music. I loved the flower they put on the food, very aesthetically pleasing, as well as great tasting. If I didn't have the bad panini experience my rating would have been higher, but the cook knew what he was doing letting that plate go out like that. I needed to be honest and that needed to be called on. Overall would recommend the sweet side of the menu, and not the savory side. The colors are so inviting, the Hispanic themes and exciting music made me want to head to salsa nights at Latin Rhythms. I say all of this because Atmosphere is so important. I got coffee to start and they did have honey and French vanilla cream which is a big plus for me. I kept my order simple chicken and French toast with a side of potatoes and eggs. It was good, not great but good. I am sure they have a very diverse clientele being that the Churro waffle is expanding its locations so the food wasn't overly seasoned. Which can be a plus or setback depending on your personal taste. The wait staff was good even though we went at the tail end me of the day, I didn't feel rushed. A friend moved to the area recently so we decided to order out from here. I called and placed an order of a churro waffle and two skirt steak omelettes, 2 coffees, and a latte. Sometimes I get a side of hash browns and sometimes just the churro waffle. This is a staple in my delivery rotation and one of the best things I've eaten since moving to Chicago. We went on a Sunday for breakfast, and we were a party of 6 with a baby. We were told a 25-minute wait and were seated after a 1 1/2. Hosting is horrible. I wish they were honest about the wait time. We waited because we had already waited that long. We didn't understand why they couldn't accommodate us sooner. The hostess said they only had three areas to seat big groups when they could easily merge a few tables to seat us. No apologies or anything for waiting that long.
