Wonderful little cozy cafe near the beach. Love the ambiance of the place. Everywhere you look, it's very lovingly decorated. Came for breakfast and Andrea took wonderful care of us. She has such a great welcoming personality. Supreme Brekky - Great breakfast sandwich with all the meats. Hose the bagel for bread which was kind of on the small side and too dried out. Otherwise great. California Omelette - Fresh and fluffy. Very good. French Toast - 5 stars would order again. Even comes with sides of sausage and egg. I always welcome more eggs with my eggs =) read more

Customer service is a 5 from the moment we walked in to ordering to leaving. So polite and very welcoming, the place is small so it has limited seating with a couple tables out front. Parking is available in the back or side street right in front of the cafe. Ordered the Cliffs Breakfast Sandwhich and the Avocado Toast, both were very filling and delicious. The avocado and toast for $9.25 was a bit much for me and adding the egg and pesto for $5-6 more didn't help much either. It was very good though, but probably order something different given what you get. Uploaded the menu prices for a more up to date one. read more

I'm so glad I finally checked this spot out. First off, it's absolutely adorable inside. I loved all the Easter decor. And secondly, the staff was so friendly and lovely to be around. Sadly I did not enjoy what I ordered at Cliffs Cafe. I ordered a zucchini walnut muffin and a lightly sweetened vanilla oat milk latte and both items tasted horrible. The latte was overly sweet and I could barely taste the coffee in it. It tasted like it was hot vanilla milk instead of a latte and when my husband tasted it, he agreed that it didn't taste the way it should. Sadly I had to throw the drink away and bought a cappuccino that tasted a bit better. Then the muffin given to me was hot when I didn't ask for it hot. And microwaving the muffin changed the texture which made the muffin rubbery and taste bad. I only ate half of it and threw away the rest. I really think what's actually missing from Cliffs Cafe is attention to detail when making coffee and preparing foods. I hate to say it but the whole vibe here felt like I was eating food from a gas station which I'm pretty sure nobody wants. If you're in the Ocean Beach area I highly recommend skipping Cliffs Cafe and going somewhere else. read more

Went down to San Diego for a long weekend and had the pleasure of eating here twice. First night in we were tired and just wanted something quick and easy through door dash. Husband got a breakfast burrito, I got chilaquiles, and my son got French toast. It was all delicious. We decided to go back a couple days later and ate there. Everything was great again. The location is more a pop in sort of place, so don't expect a full service restaurant experience. All food is served to go but you can sit down and eat with utensils and water available to grab. Would definitely stop in again next time we're back in town! read more

Even though there are many breakfast and brunch spots to choose from in San Diego, I always circle back here because I know the food never misses. Dropped by again recently during a day trip and tried the Green Eggs and Ham on an everything bagel. Sensational. Loved every bite of it. In addition to the great food, the service is always impeccable. No matter how busy it is, and believe me this place can get pretty damn busy, they always get the food out in less than ten minutes. This review is solely based on the breakfast burrito alone. The one word I have for it - BOMB. The café itself is so cute. Really great ambiance and very nice and cozy. They had so many coffee and smoothie options. Looking forward to grabbing a drink the next time I come back here. I ordered the breakfast burrito 2.0. This burrito was stacked. (Scrambled eggs, bacon, corn beef hash, sausage, onions, roasted potatoes, fire roasted chilies, and cheddar cheese.) Tasted super meaty and the eggs and potatoes were cooked just right. Burritos come with salsa and sour cream upon request. My only complaint is that for such a stacked burrito, they only gave one small container of salsa. This is one of the cutest and chillest cafes I've visited in San Diego. It's pretty tiny, no more than 20 people can fit inside. There's a handful of tables outside for sitting as well. The staff was fast and bubbly which is always a plus. The drink menu was dope. The speciality drinks and blended drinks seemed complex and you can't go wrong with any option. It all seemed super thoughtful. There's also frapples, smoothies, and your regular drips and lattes if you want something a bit more simple. Large menu for food but the food was a bit better than average in my opinion. Wouldn't run back to get food here but wouldn't be opposed. Basically.. it didn't blow my mind. We went with the: Greek Omelet Breakfast which consist of feta, spinach, bell peppers, tomatoes and oregano. Served with your choice of fruit, potatoes or hashbrowns and toast. Cliff's Delight which cosist of scrambled eggs, sun dried tomato, avocado, fresh basil, and goat cheese on pita bread. The omlete was the better of the two. The sandwich didn't smack and wasn't really filling. But it tasted super fresh and light. The menu in general has a lot of healthy options. Smooth place with good vibes, solid food, even better drinks, and perfect for a early morning coffee run. read more

We visited this location after running along the cliffs. There was a lot of options to choose from and we were there around 9 and there was limited seating. Fortunately there was enough space for 4. The menu has a lot of options and we went with omelet and acai bowl. The build your own omelette was helpful as I got to choose what I wanted and it was delicious. The acai bowl on the other hand was good but it was more watery than most acai bowls we've had. The water station has these really small cups that you can use more than once but a funny feeling as it is already wet. The decor gave the location a cafe vibe and the service was nice and helpful. Their register does seem a bit older there were some specific modifications that they could not do because the register system did not allow it. Overall we enjoyed our time. read more

So many breakfast choices! We're visiting the area from Northern California and we chose this spot because it's cafe style. We wanted to sit, take our time and plan our day. We started with some cold brews and looked over the menu. It took me a long time to decide from all of the breakfast options. Open faced bagel sandwich? Pancakes? Veggie Scramble? At the last minute I chose Chilaquiles. It was delicious. The woman at the register was friendly, helpful and oh so patient while I tried to make up my mind. The cafe has a friendly vibe with snacks for sale and a cold case with "to go" drinks. There's limited seating, but there are some outside tables too, but of the patrons seemed to be picking up take out orders. We're definitely going back for some pancakes before leaving town. Edit: Went back for pancakes that did not disappoint. The same nice woman at the counter who remembered that I prefer to keep my receipts. If you're in the Ocean Beach area discover what it seems like the locals already know--this place is the place to go. They serve breakfast all day too. read more

A hidden gem! I love this little cafe tucked away in Ocean Beach. The food is really good, definitely one of the better omelettes I've had. The coffee is also really great, I tried the cinnamon honey latte. They have a solid menu with lots of different bagels, breakfast sandwiches, and even a breakfast burrito. The staff is very friendly and sweet which is always a plus. There's some indoor and outdoor seating and it seems like you can usually find a spot. Lots of people were getting grab&go orders too. Super cute little café that definitely has more than you would expect when you walk in. Looks like a little coffee shop but actually has some really good food. I got the 2 x 4 as well as an everything bagel with cream cheese and the mini pancakes. The orange juice looks like it was freshly squeezed however, I didn't watch them do it, but it was delicious. For the amount of food I got. I definitely got enough to fill myself and feel satisfied with what I paid. While in Ocean Beach I visited and had some breakfast and a deliciously smooth Mexican Mocha. The cafe was cute, the food and beverages were on point. The best part had to be the staff. I'm not a small talker by any means and one of the workers gave menu recommendations, shared cool anecdotes about the city (since I was visiting) and I saw the same interaction with others that appeared to be locals. Found this place while visiting San Diego. It's a cute small place with some dining inside and a few outside. It has a good size menu for a small dining area The service was excellent. The food was good, cooked just right; however, not so flavorful. The Greek Sandwhich is a warmed pita bread with a scrambled eggs, spinach and a little bit of feta cheese. The avocado toast was just that (toast w/avocado) which was fine but again, not so flavorful. The Honey latte was delicious as well as the strawberry smoothie. Overall, I would give it a 4.5 because the food was a bit bland. On the upside of that, you can add as much or as little salt/pepper as you like. I've heard great things about this place and was so excited to try it! We got a to-go order and my friends picked up the order, and they said the ambiance was super cute. I got the cliffs breakfast sandwich on a croissant which had sausage and bacon in the eggs with cheddar, and was pretty good! It was bigger than I thought and pretty filling. I also got the tropical blast acai bowl which was much bigger than I expected. Since I wasn't there in person, I was relying on the prices I saw from the menu's posted here on yelp, I thought the bowl was $9 but it was actually $11. Then I also got an iced matcha latte with raspberry syrup and it wasn't the best, it tasted very earthy and kinda like dirt but it was okay. I got the Muscle Beach Bowl, and I love peanut butter and usually peanut butter smoothies don't have enough peanut butter to be tasted but this bowl.. if the bomb and has that yummy peanut buttery flavor. A quick breakfast during my morning walk in OB on vacation last week. I ordered the chilaquiles with fried eggs. Green sauce was tangy, cheese was feta not queso fresca but avocado was plentiful. I should have ordered the eggs more done, and hold the sour cream but this was a pretty great dish at a reasonable price. Counter service was very friendly and patient while I tried to decide what I wanted. Dining room was bathed in sunshine and I roasted my back while consuming my meal. I came here twice during my weekend visit here at Ocean Beach. It was a quick walk from the AirBnb I was staying in the area with some friends. I tried the iced coffee and iced caramel macchiato- would recommend either, absolutely delicious!! I also tried one of the breakfast sandwiches; I got the cliffs on a toasted plain bagel. I loved it!! It was really filling and the bagel was stuffed with egg cheese sausage. Would highly recommend coming here to try breakfast/brunch and coffee!!! For the price and quality it is worth it! There is some seating inside and outside, no bathroom available though, fyi! You order and then pick a spot to sit or you can do take out. On the plus side, the staff is very nice and accommodating. The food was acceptable but avoid the potatoes. They were really gross. They were nice enough to let me get fruit instead. The latte was very strong but I asked her to remove a third and add more cream and then it was good. My husband liked his breakfast burrito but it wasn't the best he'd had--more middle of the road. It was overwhelmingly heavy on ginger, shallots, and vinaigrette--so much so that you could barely taste the beef. The flavors were intensely salty, acidic, and overpowering. It also came with crispy fried chips, which only added to the heaviness. We're not the type to send food back, but it was honestly difficult to get through--we ended up drinking multiple bottles of water just to balance it out. On the drinks side, though, they really delivered. I ordered the Wild Honey and my fiancé had the Old Fashioned--both were excellent. The portions were solid (not overly diluted with ice), and the flavors were well-balanced and enjoyable. Overall, I'd consider coming back for drinks, especially given the ambiance and quality of cocktails. As for the food, based on this experience, it's not something I'd return for. Still, it's a nice spot if you're looking for a casual drink in a good atmosphere
