I've been meaning to make it here for dinner for a long time. I've been for brekkie many times and have left happy many times. Everyone I know raves about their dinner, so I was expecting to have a good meal. Nothing prepared me for how awesome my first dinner at the Clinkscs was going to be. We started with chips and guac, which were great. We then split a large Cesar Salad which was delicious (killer croutons and shaved parm....well done!) and more than enough for 3 people. And at $9.95, it was great value. On to the entrees. My dad got the scallops which were good sized and sweetly succulent. I got the filet mignon and HOLY SH*T! It was tender and understatedly rich, and HUGE. Served in a hot mini skillet with sizzling herb compound butter and accompanied with garlic herb mashed potatoes (suggestion: dip those potatoes in the herb compound butter), the filet rivals what you'd find in high-end steakhouses in New York or Chicago. The portions are generous, so you get a lot of food for what you pay for. The service was attentive and friendly. I just wish they were open a little later on weekends, but I can live with working on their schedule. I can't recommend dinner at the Clinkscale enough. Needless to say, I'll be making many more trips up the mountain. read more

My husband and I had dinner and drinks here last night. The drinks were excellent. Our bartender, Paul, was a friendly and gracious host behind the bar. We started with the appetizer of chips, salsa, and guacamole. Mike, the manager, made sure our anniversary dinner experience was perfect. Our waiter, Thaddeus, made our entire dining experience perfect. We both ordered the Filet Mignon, the best we had ever had. It came out in a cast iron skillet with lots of salt and butter. It was topped with a tall sprig of Rosemary. We ordered the side of broccolini with mornay sauce, which was delicious. Our waiter treated us to a flourless chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary, which was so good. Our sides were french fries and herb pomme puree (mashed potatoes), and Mike treated us to a taste of their cheesy grits. Everything was so good, and we can't wait to go back. ***Review is for both hotel and restaurant*** My wife and I were traveling to a military reunion for one of my units and we decided to stay a night in Jerome. I used a combination of Yelp and TripAdvisor reviews to make my decision to book a night at The Clinkscale and can now verify that the impressive reviews are 100% valid. Having never been to Jerome, but hearing many things about it, I had no expectations in mind other than hoping to have a good time during my short stay. We arrived shortly after 4 and absolutely loved the restaurant/bar area. I was already dead set on eating our dinner there and we had a very long travel day that started at 3:00am coming from Kansas City. We took stroll up and down the street and visited many shops, but we were out of gas and knew it would be an early night so we went back to the Clinkscale for an early dinner. First order of business were drinks. All of the cocktails look and sound amazing. I settled with an Arizona Mojito and my wife got the Pimm's Cup. Both were outstanding and you can tell the mixologist is very good at his job. For dinner, there were no shortage of tempting items on the menu. I ordered the Chicken Milanese and my wife ordered the Ginger Miso-Glazed Salmon. No exaggeration, they were the best tasting meals we have had in a long time. The Chicken Milanese was I like anything I've ever had and it had so many flavors going on that it's hard to describe, ut a must order. The salmon was equally as good and the mashed potatoes were to die for. We had wanted to say for at least a few more cocktails, but we were deliriously tired and got our luggage and headed up to our room. The architecture and decor of the old building was amazing and our room was so clean and comfortable and we slept like babies in the king size bed. So many other great things to say about this place, but I'll leave it at that. I have no doubt we will be returning customers and would say a stay and dining experience at The Clinkscale is a must do. read more

This is our second visit to Clinkscale Restaurant. We are local (VOC) and have been customers at several of The Jurisin's restaurants for well over 20 years. The ambiance here is comfortable and the restoration of this old hotel and restaurant is well done, with belt driven airplane propeller for fans and pipes for the upstairs Hotel going through the front space. The view from the front window tables at sunset sets a great mood. The staff is very attentive, some more social than others, but all very good and all seem to know the menu and what needs to be done for their customers. On our first visit we we greeted by Mike, the manager, and spoke with him several times, leaving us with the friendly feeling we were dining at a friend's home. On the second visit we were very promptly, nicely greeted, seated and that was the last we saw of that lady. The food was good, actually very good but some notes are needed as to both visits. The cocktails were a bit too sweet. The elote, while delicious and a generous serving, was overly loaded with cheese. The Tossed Caesar was different, enough for 2 plus, tasty but made with gem lettuce, cherry tomatoes and quite cheese forward. The Shrimp and Grits, while tasty, had too much cheese as did the small Scallops with Couscous. The Rib Eye was terrific, properly seasoned, slightly over cooked more than medium, but still tender and juicy. The Filet Mignon was excellent, though slightly under cooked which was easily fixed by its presentation in a sizzling pan. However, the herbed pomme puree (whipped potatoes), delicious, but were so heavy with cheese that the dish should be called Cheese with potato. Do you see a theme? I like cheese, but someone in the kitchen is in love with cheese. Cheese not withstanding the food was very good, as were the limited choice of wines and deserts. Do go, overall you won't be disappointed. read more

Came for dinner and had the tort Mac n cheese and added chicken breast. It was good, very rich, but fresh. The chicken was juicy and the slices of sour dough bread on the side were good! High carb meal.. Husband had a double stack flat top seared bacon cheeseburger with fries. He said the burger was juicy, fresh and surprisingly he ate the entire thing. The fries were extra crispy and thin. Not the best. The ranch was very good, which to me can make or break a meal! Overall we would say dinner was a 3.5. Sorry, didn't take pictures. When looking at the menu for dinner as well as yelp reviews we saw the lemon ricotta pancakes and I needed to try. So we went back for breakfast. I of course had to get the pancakes and husband got the original breakfast sandwich with potatoes. The pancakes were just basic pancakes with a dollop of lemon ricotta on top, which I didn't really like. The fruit and whip cream was greasy. Overall they were good pancakes just typical. The sandwich was just ok, to me it looked really good, wish I would have got that instead, but again both items were just ok. This is why we gave it a 3. We needed a reservation but we're about to be put onto a waitlist! 20 mins later and a no show? We got in! The place was smaller than we thought but had so much personality and things to look at and enjoy while eating! The Clinkscale Bar & Grill! Just absolutely spectacular (think of the best in San Fransisco). We enjoyed Sunday brunch here and it was just superlicious. We had a short wait and then the four of us were seated at the next available which was a table for six. This was a bit surprising as they were very busy but to them first available is first available. That was the start of service that was beyond 5 stars throughout our dining experience. The setting at the Clinkscale is warm, classy and fun. Our waiter was great fun and alert to every detail. The Manager also came over for a friendly chat and some laughs. My wife and I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict cooked perfectly and served on a freshly baked biscuit. The presentation was mouth wateringly perfect and the dish was scrumptious. Ahhhh but! The piece de resistance is the fresh Peach Cobbler Bread Pudding with smooth vanilla gelato. This alone is worth the trip to Jerome. I would give this 10 stars if I could. Absolutely phenomenal!! We got there around noon on a Wednesday (week between Christmas/new years) and we found a spot at the bar right away. By the time we left there was a wait and bar was full. Joe was our bartender and he was incredible!! A true mixologist so if you come, get a cocktail! I had the southwest sangria and it was seriously one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The cauliflower steak burger was full of flavor and I wouldn't hesitate to order again. I got it with the cup of soup and that was delish - perfect for the rare rainy Arizona day we experienced. The hot chicken and biscuits was also SO good - a great brunch option! In town celebrating 40th wedding anniversary. Someone recommended we give Clinkscale a try and we are so glad they did. Hubby and I had an amazing meal and the service from every representative was incredible. Our waiter was on the newer side (he confessed) but it didn't show. He was one of the best servers we have ever had. He helped us with our wine selection and nailed it! You cannot skip the filet and blue cheese bruschetta. Amazing. We also had to try the roasted poblano tomato soup and it was yummy too. Our salad was so fresh! We shared an entree (Filet that cooked and served on a black iron skillet) because we had so many starters.
