Out of all my years on this planet I've never really drank coffee until last week when I had a strong craving for coffee. Being a vegan I did my googles and discovered that they have a couple of vegan options... So i pull up, phone in hand ready to start my complicated vegan order. Just as soon as i started my order the young lady behind the counter was like nah, that's not a good vegan drink. You should do it this way. AND LET ME TELL YOU !!! That sh*t was good!! I stopped by here for an afternoon pick me up since it was on the way to see a client. This Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has a drive thru but this time I decided to check out the inside which was quite clean with plenty of seating. Upon entering I was immediately helped and since I do not frequent Coffee Bean often, the barista offered me suggestions. The barista asked if I wanted the drink for here or to go which is nice to have both options. I got an iced pumpkin latte and asked for half the sweetener. I have to say the sweet & spice pumpkin latte was much different than I am use to at Starbucks but I liked it! The only criticism is that I wish there was more parking at this location. read more

Today I came inside for the first time. I ordered a Dark Chocolate Ice Blended drink and then asked if I could mix in White Chocolate. Lesly said sure! I then ordered a danish and she asked if I would like it warmed up. I said yes please! She was very helpful and nice! Tried to branch out and try something different from my normal everyday Starbucks but I quickly regretted it. I went thru the drive thru and ordered a cold brew and I wanted to add caramel drizzle, caramel syrup and half and half but just got a black cold brew w caramel drizzle. no syrup but no cream and when I asked for it on the side he looked at me like it was such an inconvenience and hassle for him to get it. After pouring in my creamers I had noticed that there was a BUG between the two cups (they double cupped my drink, I assume bc of all of the caramel drizzle on the OUTSIDE of the first cup.) so disappointed and will never be returning. read more

Went to get a coffee before work today and received the worst customer service from a supervisor in training named Leo. I was waiting in line at the drive thru when he shut down the place and said it would be closed for 10 minutes. I had enough time before I had to get to work so I didn't mind waiting. He approached my car and asked me if I was really going to wait the 10 minutes. I'm not sure why he said it like he expected me to leave but I assured him that I had no problem waiting. He walked away from my car and came back a few seconds later to tell me that I needed to get out of the drive thru and park my car and wait for them to reopen. This didn't make sense to me since there were other cars waiting as well but I obliged thinking he would tell the other cars the same info. When I parked my car I noticed that he didn't tell any of the cars anything and started walking back into CB. I asked him what was going to happen now that I lost my place in line. Was I going to have to get back into the drive thru? He said if that's what you want to do sure. And proceeded to walk into CB and lock the doors. 10-15 min later he came back out and told the drive thru line that now had a line in the street that they could start placing orders. He walked right past me and locked the doors of CB again. I went up to the door and told him that I didn't understand why he asked me to get out of the line and now I have to wait to get service for a coffee. I asked to speak to the supervisor and he said he was the supervisor. As far as I know a supervisor in training usually has an actual supervisor trainer with them and they're usually not left unattended until they have finished their training. I then asked to speak to his manager and he pointed at the name on the door and said that was his managers name and she wasn't there. So I asked when I could speak to her and he said try calling tomorrow morning. I asked if she was going to be there tomorrow morning and he said he couldn't give me that information. I asked him if I could leave my contact info for her to contact me and he said no. Another employee started walking behind him and decided to get involved in our conversation by being rude to me. He is a tall lanky white make with colored eyes I believe. Then Leo the supervisor trainee closed and locked the door in my face. I really couldn't believe the lack of customer service, unprofessional behavior and attitude that a supervisor in training displayed today. I have no idea why he decided to close down the CB and proceeded with the actions he took. He really isn't supervisor material based off his actions today. read more

This is my favorite location ever!!! I absolutely love coffee bean but it is always refreshing to have the most awesome customer service and quality!! Everyone from the baristas to the manger and the people behind the order speaker are extremely courteous and helpful!! Even when they're busy they take time to make your drink just as you like it or require. I cannot have regular coffee so I opt for decaf, this is always scary because you never can tell the difference but I always feel safe taking the first to the last sip of my carefully made drink!! I called this location on the phone like 5 times until they answered the phone and then I asked what time they close and the lady told me that they are going to close at 8 pm so I drove like 10 miles to get here and they closed like 10 minutes early even though she told me that they will close at 8 pm so now I drove to much there and back for no reason. Alexis is amazing! Me & my bf we're debating on what to get at the ordering window, Alexis suggested different flavors for my hot chocolate. I was super excited, but what made it better was her service & bubbly personality. She also made us both a custom hot chocolate & it was amazing! So far I've been at this location twice and I had no idea this was a new establishment! After I drive past a couple of times from Starbucks, I decided "Hmm.. Why not give it a try?" Best Decision Ever! The employees greeted me with all smiles and the place looked so cozy and very beautiful ambiance of light from the windows. A plus for me considering Starbucks have smaller and darker spaces. For the menu, usual menu you see at almost any coffee shop. But I was seeking something delicious. I ended up trying Black Forest off of their Blended drink menu... Delicious was a direct hit! This may have to replace my trip to Starbucks for awhile. read more

I ordered a 32 ounce iced matcha latte. It was literally all ice. I poured it out in another cup to see and it only filled the cup a quarter of the way. It was the worst drink I've ever gotten from them. I ordered from the drive thru so I didn't notice until I left. I paid for an extra large size and the amount of beverage I got would not even fill up a small. Very disappointed that I paid nearly 5 dollars for a bunch of ice. Need to train new employees on the promotions. Promotion clearly states includes add ons. I order the same drink with 2 add ons all the time at every coffee bean and I still get the $3 promotion. Just went to the drive thru and the individual that took my order forgot to add or of my items despite her repeating the order back to me. Which is fine because i reminded the young man at the window. What was really disappointing is that's the person that took my order asked if I wanted my chocolate croissant warmed up yet the young man gave me a cold croissant. I asked for a London fog which is an earl gray tea I was a little hesitant about trying it here and she made me feel comfortable with my choice . Honestly, I asked for a strong morning brew with steam milk and stevia. I paid for my order got on the 210 fwy heading towards Indio. Went to take a sip and the cup was over filled had to pull over and get rid of some of the coffee. This was by far the worse coffee I ever had obviously they didn't use steamed milk and the coffee was horrible tasting. Total waste of money. I use to work for Coffee Bean at the corporate office off La Cienega years ago. I loved that the company loved dogs and they were welcomed in the Accounting department where I worked. I also loved that they gave puppichinos for our beloved pets. It was a sweet touch. When I saw Coffee Bean open in Rialto near my home, I was eager to support their opening and quickly became a VIP Tier member. I enjoyed coming because usually they are nice to my pet but lately when I come and ask for a sample size treat for my pet after I spend over 7 dls on a drink they deny it. I shop here regularly at least 3 times a week and I don't ask for my pup drink all the time. Today, I informed the person at the drive thru that Starbucks always gives my pup the treat and his response was "yeah I know" and gave me my drink and went inside. I don't think THIS location cares to provide the quality customer service that I personally know the company stands behind and the clerk was very rude! Like I didn't matter as a customer. I am still in contact with staff from the corporate office having processed expense reports for many Regional Managers in my days for TCBTL and will find out if company policy has changed. Sadly, as much as I love TCBTL and want to support this fabulous company, I'm taking my business to Starbucks moving forward because they have always provided superior customer service and have never made me uncomfortable.
