Honestly, I feel like management should do a better job hiring people who are friendly and pleasant. Every time I go to a Coffee Bean location, it seems like the employees are unhappy or don't want to be there. I understand everyone has bad days, but if you're working in customer service, being respectful and friendly should still be important. Today, I simply asked the girl working for the bathroom code, and she gave me an attitude and said, "We don't give out the code." I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable, and she could have just explained the policy nicely instead of being rude about it. I've been coming to this Coffee Bean for a while, and it's disappointing to see how much the customer service has declined. Gone are the days when the staff greeted customers with a smile and a friendly "good morning." Now, you're more likely to be met with frowns or employees with their backs turned. When drinks are handed over, there's often no acknowledgment, no greeting, and no sense of hospitality. The drinks are still good, which is the only reason I'm giving more than one star, but the atmosphere has become uncomfortable enough that I no longer enjoy going inside. I hope management takes notice and works on bringing back the welcoming customer service that this location used to be known for. read more

Both of the employees working this afternoon were SO UNPLEASANT. I asked what the hojicha was and the young man said "I don't know, I haven't tried it" I asked but do you know what it is? He said again "I haven't tried it". I feel confident that your employees have been trained on each new product-because, why wouldn't they be?? He has the personality of a parsnip. Absolutely flat & uninterested in helping us. Keep in mind there was nobody else there ordering at the time. No line-nothing. Stopped by here today because I was in the area. It had been a long while since I've had coffee at a coffee bean. Today, I decided to try their version of the protein latte, and I'm so glad I did. If you've tried Starbucks version, you know it's a bit lackluster and bland. This coffee bean version has a lot more flavor. I opted for the sugar free vanilla syrup. The staff I interacted with was very friendly and polite as well. Inside it's very spacious and looks like it's been remodeled pretty recently. Came for a morning pick-me-up and ordered my go-to drink, Mango Cold Brew. Since I have rewards, I ordered a large for the price of a regular size! $4.85 My favorite drink on the menu because it's so refreshing. It was a quick grab and go however, I ordered a large and unfortunately the drink tasted a bit diluted. Every time I go into a coffee bean store and order it, sometimes it's a hit-or-miss. If I'm not going to an independent owned or mom&pop coffee shop, Coffee Bean has always been my go to. Especially over Starbucks or other big chains, which is why I was so excited there was one right by my new gym. This location is like no other one I've been to. You are never greeted when you come in and even when you ask them how they are doing at the register they brush over it and just ask you what you want. I'm not going during big rushes, assuming they even have those, so as someone in costumer service, to not take the time to have a 30 second exchange with a customer is just so lazy. Meanwhile they will be all smiles with each other behind the counter, it's just so off putting. There was one girl at the register about a month ago, I'm almost positive she was new and possibly training. She was the only nice experience I've had there and sadly I haven't seen her since. Wondering if she dipped or not. Other than that, no one seems to be in a good mood there. Mind you, I'm a barista myself so I know how things can get but this has been too consistent for it to be "I caught them on a bad day" situation. The drinks are made so fast(which can be nice) but not when my drink is coming out with the most atrocious steamed milk I've ever seen. Then placed nearest to them so I have to awkwardly almost go behind the counter to grab it. ***I'm actually sitting outside right now writing this and a pedestrian just had the sweetest encounter with a Bruegger's bagel employee on her break. The drinks are always great but every time I go the service and the baristas are so rude. I went earlier today and the gentleman in the beret looking hat that took my order was great but I left feeling bothered because one of the baristas putting the drinks out to the counter rolled her eyes when I asked for a cup holder. At first I didn't think she heard me so I asked a second time and her face said everything she couldn't. 2/4/23 Gotta be honest, I had a gift card for CBTL, so I redeemed it. Chose the Jasmine Dragon green tea (or something like that) latte, hot. Selected regular size but I sure got a huge amount when I had them use my own container!! They almost filled it to the brim!! Plus, it was 25 cents off for using my own container too. I come to this spot regularly and every time I have her take my order she is never friendly and at times has a nasty attitude. She never greets and takes orders in such a nasty attitude.
