I've been wanting to try this restaurant for a while and I'm happy to say I did today. I had avocado toast with a side of salmon and my daughter had the açaí bowl. Both were beautiful and delicious. The restaurant is unique inside and their menu ranges from salads to sandwiches. You can also have a beer and mimosa if your feeling like having a drink. WOW. This place is so so so cute. Very hipster type of ambience, but I literally felt more hip just from being there haha! The marble countertops make all your photos look extra instagram-able. Love the overall vibe and would come back again. It's not your average coffee shop as it has some unique dishes to offer. It is a little on the pricier side though. Some of the dishes have an asian flair to it to such as Banh Mi and Kimchi Fried Rice-unexpected for a coffee shop. SERVICE: The guy who took our order up front didn't seem very happy. I don't think he smiled once, but at least he answered my questions and gave suggestions. Service was slightly on the slow side as well. SWEET LATTE: This was a double shot with steamed milk and a touch of simple syrup for $4.25. This was actually on the sweeter side for me, so I probably won't get this again. MOCHA $5: This was actually not too sweet, way less sweeter than the sweet latte. Not a mocha person usually because of how sweet they can get, but would order this again! STEAK & EGGS: Comes with skirt steak and a sunny side up egg on a thick garlic toast for $13.50. It is topped with salsa verde and arugula salad. This was what they called "Green Steak and Eggs." This is an after church venue we frequent on many Sundays. We've spent a couple Easter's and many regular Sundays there. I highly recommend the "dirty potatoes" with whatever else you decide to eat (or even just those, cannot miss them). I've had the Combine breakfast many times as well as the Chia Breakfast bowl on many occasions. A few favorites of others in our group is the avocado toast, the breakfast burrito and the LOX. Their coffee drinks are to die for and they have a special Mimosa drink occasionally---super yummy. My daughter, her friends and my son love this place almost as much as I do. They could use more seating, especially if it's raining (outdoor seating is no good for bad weather). Everyone is super friendly and the service is quick no matter how long the line. read more

I came here a few years ago and remembered having a good meal and a great cup of coffee. Came in today and it was definitely an experience. A busy day with 1 barista on deck and he really was trying his best. But he had no support. The family that owns it were kind but were really in the way of the barista. The 14 y/o son or nephew had great customer service and performed his role well. The cashier was frazzled and kept looking back at the menu then when we finished our coffee order she charged us and stepped away. I had to ask if we were able to order food and she kept looking around then reluctantly said sure. I paid over $60 for a 443, chai latte, El gordo sandwich, and kimchi fried rice. We sat at the counter and our food came in like 15 minutes. My kimchi fried rice had stale chunks of rice and wasn't warm. The potatoes that came with the sandwich were all burnt except one, which was delicious. The sandwich was amazing. The only saving grace of the meals. My boyfriend and I shared the sandwich since everything was not good. We finished our meal and still didn't get our coffees. Many customers kept checking on their coffees and some of their orders were lost. After 45 minutes of waiting for our coffees we went to cancel our order and no one apologized. Great study spot! I got the crimson tea which is decaf, tangy, reminded me of a better version of the passion tea from Starbucks. My friend got the matcha latte which she said was pretty good and came with a pretty leaf design on the surface. When we walked in and my bf saw what i was going to order he just couldn't understand why I'd pay $9 for avocado toast lol but for me, this was a steal! I only have been here during weekend brunch times, and they often have a line by the time I arrive. It is self-seating, and it can be hard to find a table at busy times. They are listed as a breakfast & brunch spot but do not come here starving as the food items are all on the lighter side. I have been here a couple of times and always get the L.O.X. toast with tea. The L.O.X. toast has house-cured salmon with pickled red onion, pretty pieces of bright pink watermelon radish, and dollops of candied mustard seeds. I have also tried their Jasmine Peach and Moroccan Mint teas. If you order hot tea, you get a full pot while iced teas are served in a single tall metal cup. I absolutely love tea, and their brews are spot on every time. I gave The Combine Kitchen 4 stars instead of 5 for a few reasons. I feel as though you are paying for the aesthetics of this place because, as I said before, the portions are light. I also wish they would make a couple of improvements to their food and drinks. I think their toast could be a little more done. A crispier texture would be a nice contrast to the soft, smooth salmon and cream chee​se on the L.O.X. toast. I also wish they would get rid of the metal cups for cold drinks. I am sure the metal keeps drinks cold for longer, but for a place that seems to aim to make everything pretty and bright, I feel as though cold drinks fall short. I used to be a huge fan of this coffee shop. Used to have great food and great coffee. The coffee is still of a similar caliber. However, the food quality plummeted. The kimchi fried rice used to have rice but now it seems that they only serve you a bowl of kimchi with a topping of rice. The quesadilla stack used to be piled high with a hot red sauce and perfectly cooked eggs. Now they sit like a short pile of tortillas, with little to no cheese and topped with a cold green salsa. To top it all off with inflation they are charging top dollar full service restaurant prices for less than mediocre food. The customer service is average, the lady that greets you gives dirty looks. In the back the staff can be seen eating food through the window which is just down right unsanitary. I don't know what happened to this place but now it's not even close to worth coming to. Def a nice spot for Brunch! French Toast: 4.5* Very good French toast, maple syrup was great - only complaint is that they put just a few thin slices of strawberries and a few blueberries. I would have preferred just a tad bit more fruit with the French toast. Chai Latte: 3.5* Pretty good and excellent presentation. But it was lacking a bit in the chai flavor and the temp of the latte was very warm - it should have been piping hot! Overall, not sure if I would order it again.
