Lust. I eat here twice a week--not just because it's close to my work, but because I can't help myself. Common Market serves drool-worthy sandwiches fresher than the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Mad love for the variety of vegan options and killer customer service. Every time I place my pick-up order online to grab during my lunch break, my sandwich is always ready on time (if not early), waiting on the counter with my name on it. I can't recommend the Thai goddess wrap enough, and am so obsessed that I order it every time. Sub the spinach-herb wrap, add jalapeños and firecracker sauce (also vegan, and dangerously good) , keep the bliss. Looking for a quick lunch option and decided to visit this location of Common Market. I normally do breakfast when visiting Common Market and have never had their lunch sandwiches before. This store is very spacious but they don't seem to have the variety of items like the other locations. You place your order at the front register and then pick up at the kitchen pick up window. The employee helping me had to walk to the kitchen to make sure they had gotten my order because they were having printer issues. I appreciate that he made sure it went thru to the kitchen. I ordered the Turkey Capri. I wasn't sold on the spinach herb wrap but decided that if they thought it was best on this that I should at least try it that way. I caught a couple glances of the kitchen making my sandwich and that was a big no no. The wrap was poorly wrapped and it definitely came undone after unrolling it and taking a bit. I also don't think it was a spinach herb wrap but a sun dried tomato wrap. The menu in front of the kitchen also says there is tomato in the wrap but the menu online doesn't. Mine didn't have a tomato and I'm glad it didn't. The sandwich had good flavor but all the spread seemed to be at the end where there was no turkey or toppings. Great place to grab a good sandwich - always fresh and yummy. I'm kinda basic but very much a deli Snob. Turkey and Cheese is my go to. I do occasionally add the candied bacon- Yum! My favorite bread of all time is their 9 Grain. It's like eating a pack of good trail mix on your bread for some crunch. I usually order online to avoid waiting and use this location for the easy parking. I always end up picking out some chips or a baked good after grabbing my sandwich. I'm a happy girl when they have King of Pops Chocolate Sea Salt Popsicle and my Husband always appreciates the beer selections where you can just by a single can so he can try something new. This place is walking distance from my home, so of course I'm a fan!!! They are very community-centric and do a lot of pop-ups and Saturday markets with local vendors. They have a pretty solid selection of beer and sandwiches. I also absolutely love their hot chicken sandwich. It's one of my favorites in charlotte! They have a meat cooler in the back with locally raised, grass-fed meat and they also sell pre-made goods in the back fridge too. My favorite neighborhood spot for awesome food, chill atmosphere, helpful staff, great drinks, and unique gifts. You can order online and get it fast. The vibe is very relaxed, quality ingredients, at a fair price. Gluten free and vegan options every day. Funky. Quirky, Odd. Delicious. Although I am still grieving over the loss of their Southend location (damn, I hate this soul-less development in Charlotte), Oakwold hits on many of the same notes. An added bonus is plenty of room to sit and spread out. I've only visited this location for breakfast or coffee. 3.5 stars because all common markets are cool, you just don't get a lot of bang for your buck. I like this location because it's less congested than the others and they have vegan pastries sold here usually. I ordered the brunch "Thot Pocket" which was like a spicy, Mexican hot pocket and was sooooo delicious. However, it was gone in 60 seconds and after $10, I was still very much hungry. For this specific offering, I would suggest maybe two of these for the one price because though it was good, it wasn't worth spending that much. My family loves this place! Has so much to offer. We love walking here it's so convenient and close to home. They have a lot of vegetarian options! The best vegan grilled cheese handsome Henry !!! Also love the tomato soup to go along with it. We love bringing our dog here they are so welcoming for the most part. We love woody he's our favorite and is always so kind. Only issue my spouse has ran into is that one of the cooks has a very strong personality and isn't friendly this is one of the nighttime cooks. Prices are decent for the size (the turkey reuban I got was huge)! The cashiers and deli cooks are friendly and welcoming. What's not to love about this place?!? Cool vibe, cool space, and a good selection of everything. They even had Underwood sparkling rosé in a can!!! I got the #8 with gluten free bread (toasted) and no cheese. I'm on a strict diet in case you are wondering why. Believe me, I would love regular bread and cheese!! Overall, the sandwich was very tasty. The meat and veggies were fresh and the gluten free noodles weren't bad at all. I looked around for a bit and I saw they had GATOR SAUCE!! Let me begin this with: I love Common Market and always have. I live right around the corner. BUT ..... the deli has really sh*t the bed over the last year or so. We come here for breakfast sandwiches every few weeks, and with the last visit, we are just bummed and will not be returning (at least, not for breakfast). I always get my sandwich to go, so I don't check it out until I get home. The last handful of times I've gone, something was missing on my sandwich when I got home (I.e. no protein in my Later Hater). My fiancé always gets vegan chorizo on his sandwiches, and has been bummed the last few times as sometimes it's sliced, sometimes it's crumbled, sometimes it's diced - never the same. I really want to love CM as I always have, but I can't continue to toy with my heart like this - especially when it's dead-set on a Later Hater with pork sausage, extra grilled. read more

This is a great place in a cool new location. I like the easy access parking lot. There's not a ton of traffic and it's a no hassle deal getting in and out here. The staff was really friendly and helpful when I was making a beer selection. They walked me through and kind of showed me around, since I'd never been before. It's nice when someone takes the time to show you things and get you familiar in a new place, so I liked that. This place is exactly what I wanted - So glad I found it!! It's such a hidden gem for wine/beer/groceries/vegan buys/deli! It's a chill punk themed space with good punk and rock music playing. There's a fun covered outdoor area to enjoy your sandwich/salad/beverage. They also have board games if you wanna hang out and play while you drink! DELI: The deli is delicious! You walk up to the counter, put in your order and then pay at the front of the store. They have a TON of sandwich options and salads. For breakfast they offer about 8 options and build-your-own sandwich. They have vegan soy sausage and soy chorizo too! I was really surprised how much FLAVOR my sandwich had!! COFFEE: self serve drip coffee as well as lattes, etc. the hazelnut drip was ok in my opinion, not amazing but it'll do. (If you're not a coffee snob you'll prob like it) MARKET: fridge of prepared foods, chicken salad, sandwiches, cheese etc. they have tons of unique chips, snack bars, candy, local products and sodas (Mexican Coke!!). They also sell a few gifts and T shirts. BAR: they offer chilled wine and beer (& mimosas) to enjoy at the long wooden bar as well as take-home wine and beer. I like this place but had a terrible experience with open mic. I tried to do a couple songs and was cursed out by the host. I was chatting with the owner while I was adjusting the microphones and thought it was ok. The host rushed me and chewed me out for trying to set up. I'm a local musician in the area and thought this would be a chill place to have open mic, but the host is not friendly. I would avoid it. read more

Although I was sad to see Common Market leave Southend, I was definitely happy that they were opening in a new location. After having been now a few times, I am definitely a fan. I like the layout and the patio, outside but covered, is inviting and has a lot of seating. Once inside there are several seats at the bar and tables throughout for groups to gather and drink/eat and enjoy each other's company. They offer several beers on tap, but what is the highlight it the amount of options of cans/bottles, of which you can buy one to enjoy or a six-pack, etc. I haven't yet had their food, but look forward to checking out the menu soon. read more

Slightly disappointed in this iteration of a local staple, though I get it that the target market is either different, or the same, only they've aged and now have a few kids to tote around. Love this place!!! Husband and I stopped by this week for lunch on the go. Food is fantastic as always and who does not love to support a small local business. My only down fall is they stop serving the full mine after a certain time. However we did make it in this time to get whatever we would like off the menu.
