Met friends for their Hip Hop brunch today. We arrived at 11am and were able to sit at the bar. We enjoyed great service, a fabulous playlist and a lively crowd. Our menu recommendations would include the whiskey buttered pretzel bites, buttermilk biscuit fried chicken sliders and the BCT. Their mimosas are not cheap, but they kept them coming! Female bartender was arrogant and rude - esp. to those picking up orders for delivery,(i.e., Uber Eats DoorDash, Favor). Took a lot to get served, found it to be nothing special; specials mediocre - not worth spending the money on. Not worth the time or money. read more

This is one of my favorite places in the Star. Food = Amazing! The staff is great and they have a huge selection of craft beers.

This place is amazing! First off, great atmosphere. Secondly, great staff. Next, wonderful food and drinks. The "green tea" shot...on point! Parker....THE BEST! Went for the Hip Hop Brunch and was not disappointed! The music, food and drinks were awesome. The Skittles Sangria ended up being our table's favorite drink!-made with the white wine version as our wonderful waitress suggested Definitely cannot wait to go back. The hip-hop brunch is the cutest thing. The music is great. The food is great and the service is really good. I've visited the North Texas location more than 5 times now and each time is been a good time. Each time has been busy but it's great for any size group. The blacked chicken is delicious. The chicken fried steak is the delicious. The pretzel bites are a masterpiece. The tropical mimosas are my favorite. I really love it here. It could be a cleaner when transitioning between parties but it hasn't been too bad this far. Overall perfect place to kick off your Sunday Funday. read more

We visited here before a baseball event and it was just right. We had a couple of flights of beer and some appetizers. The beer was cold and the food was fresh and delicious. I went here for my first time last week and I had the best experience. Me and my friends sat at the bar and immediately Karson greeted us and got us drinks. I usually never let the bartender pick out my drink, but somehow she was able to make something that I had never had before, but was SO good. The food was great as well. The atmosphere/vibe was great, but for a $100 bill for a party of 4 - I'm overall disappointed. Our food was cold. For the chicken and waffles, it's like they batch made the food. It wasn't warm at all, the chicken was dry as if they reheated it and it sat there - then they sent it out. The service was terrible. I seen a waitress bump a customer, look at her, and walk away. All of these negative reviews are incredibly petty. It is baffling to me how the Frisco dining crowd is so quick to tattle via Yelp for any minor inconvenience they experience. I have only been here twice, once sitting at a table, and then at the bar a few weeks ago to grab a drink with a friend! Both times were fantastic, although the most recent time was phenomenal. Karson was taking care of us at the bar, and she was personable, cute, and so much fun! She made me a delicious espresso martini and a margarita for my husband. I never brag on servers/bartenders, but she deserves it! If you ever need a laugh and a good drink, come see her! Loved it here! Will be coming back soon! read more

The only reason I gave two stars is because our waitress was very nice and served us edible food. Can't complain too much, but the food sucked! My carbonara didn't have bacon and was basically just rice with cheese and veggies, they didn't have the spring greens for my girlfriends salad and all they had was romaine, the elote was like all sour cream and was so greasy. The grease was filling the spoon up every time we set it down. Definitely not worth $18 a plate. Not a place to take a 5 year old or your mother. Food was very good. Service was very good, but this is not old school hip hop. Very bad language blares over the loudspeaker. I asked if it could be changed, no. Really? Who plays this music and wants families to feel welcome. Will not go back in spite of good food and service. Normally this place is one of my favs but the past couple of times have been rough. Brunch service is slow, food is cold (if they're not out of what you want). The peach cobbler is normally good but tonight's had cold canned slimey peaches. I would have overlooked had there been plenty of buttery crust but this one had almost none. Ordered salad with ranch on side instead of vinaigrette. They brought the ranch but it was also doused in vinaigrette. Get it together common table. read more

Went here on a Thursday night for dinner. It was a nice vibe, pretty quiet. We got the corn dogs, which was delicious! Decent portion for $12. We split the chicken fried ribeye which was pretty good as well! We were full with just that app, entree, and a side salad. Would like to come back and try some other things on the menu. Also they have $15 all you can eat wings on Thursday after 5pm if that speaks to anyone! read more

I went to The Common Table with coworkers to participate in trivia night and got the Atlantic salmon with mango pico, and the Manhattan half time craft beer. The salmon was perfectly cooked medium and tender. It fell apart upon touch. The brussel sprouts were savory and the mango pico was sweet and tangy. Overall great experience. read more

After receiving consultation from kitchen were were seated in an open area, no other tables occupied. Server was very nice and kind. Service was slow very slow. Staff seemed to lack training and not at current time capable of professional service. Wish the staff well they need help. All right me and my sister came here for her birthday. We were instantly greeted when we came in we were asked to pick a seat wherever we wanted it wasn't really that busy for lunchtime. We decided to go ahead and get a flat bread as an appetizer and we each got a burger for entrees and let me tell you my burger was really good. Great Sunday afternoon. Server (male) was great (sorry I don't remember his name). VERY attentive and wonderful with suggestions. Wife and I split the Chicken Fried Steak and the Prime Rib. Both were great. The prime rib was cooked PERFECTLY (RARE!) and the CFS was well seasoned. My ONLY request would have been for a bolder horseradish for the prime rib, but that's a small thing. Today a friend and I had brunch at this establishment. There was an incident regarding some liquid substance flying from the bar to our table and the table behind us. I walked over to the bar to notify the gentleman who caused the unknown substance to fly and hit our table and the table behind us. The liquid splashed all over my friend and went in her food and hit her face. The Gentleman directly behind her was pretty wet. Now, we're not the type to ask for anything for free or try to get out of paying a bill. The service that we received from management was absolutely rude and unprofessional. They were very nonchalant and brushed it off. How would you feel if some unknown liquid just splashed on you while you were eating at a restaurant? Had the situation been handled differently then I wouldnt have had an Issue. My friend was offered another plate, but she did not want that. She's not going to eat it nor reheat fish . She was halfway done with her plate. The three gentlemen behind us were not acknowledged at all. They never received an apology for the incident. Now, the part that really pisses me off is the lack of respect. Restaurants like this love to have hip hop brunches or events to cater to the black community to take our money. However, you show us no respect when we have an issue with the service and we have valid concerns. I have read several reviews regarding this establishment. Some good and some complaining about management just as I am. My friend and I were just saying how we were going to bring a few friends there once they come to town. After that incident I will Not recommend The Common Table to anyone and will be sure to post my concerns in every Facebook group I'm in. I'm tired of black people patronizing at establishments that don't respect us. Jada was great and tried to make it right, however she is a waitress and management should've been the one to do that. Great spot for brunch and an great location. My party of 3 came for the hip hop brunch on Sunday. The wait was about 40 minutes but we had Mimosas while we waited. I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was fine. I'll return for the atmosphere. read more
