Incredible location, beautiful interior and awesome service. Ask questions- many options for the menu!!!

My family and I have been here twice now, we really enjoy the place. The first time we sat outside of the brewery and ordered food at the bar to be brought outside. Everything we ordered was excellent, we got the grilled cheese and tomato soup, kids mac & cheese and the banh mi with falafel. Our second visit was yesterday and we just got the falafel sandwiches and mac & cheese for the kids and everything was so good! The sandwich has become one of my favorites now and their potato wedges are amazing. We will definitely keep coming. We've also had really good service both times. read more

This place is amazing. Granted, the seating arrangement is odd - but it's to talk to the people next to you. The food is really good - lots of local goodness with international flair. As are the drinks - I love the Burn Ban myself - but it may be a bit too spicy for others. The service is excellent. Love their hot wings, deep fried and they aren't scared to lather them in delicious sauce. The apple crisp is pretty fantastic, nice balance of sweet and tart, fixes that sweet tooth craving every time. Waitresses aren't scared to bust your balls either, and remind the men that are ordering weak beer "that's practically a wine cooler". Been back three times now. Not once have myself or friends I've brought been dissatisfied. Chicken sandwich is delicious, BLTA & side salad is also great the 906 burger is amazing. The fries are always made perfectly and come with super good fry sauce. Came on a Saturday night around 7:45 with a group of 15 and we were sat immediately. Great for big groups or small. Ambiance is cozy, and music is great. Can't go wrong with this place. We find an excuse to drive here for dinner all the way from Federal Way at any chance we can. Bathrooms are clean, not to mention, the waiter was totally cool with splitting our bill a number of ways. The Commonwealth is one of a kind. read more

Great atmosphere, friendly service, stellar food! We were in for a marathon and ate there twice. The breakfast pastries were out of this world - especially the blueberry scones and cinnamon roll (which was also gigantic). Lunch was excellent too. The Commonwealth provides the best service, atmosphere, and food/ beverage of any place in Snoqualmie Pass. I ordered a grilled cheese and tomato soup expecting your average soup and sandwich. What I got was superb! The soup was hearty and the grilled cheese was top notch. Not your average bar food! Ali, the bartender, made a phenomenal Bloody Mary and provided us with speedy service, great conversation and quality product. By far my favorite place at the mountain! Highly recommend! read more

Service is really poor. Restaurant is well staffed but just can't figure out why the attitude is so snarky and flippant if you're not a "Pass Local." Tried to call orders in and was told no. Showed up 20 min before closing and was told I was too late, even though service continued. Food is pretty good -- bit heavy. Beer mediocre. read more

Food is very good, but the service was beyond bad. Took over an hour to get two sandwiches. Our appetizer was delivered 20 minutes after our entrees. While we were sitting for our hour wait for food, 30 minutes of that was with empty glasses. There were no apologies, just explanations of their operational problems, which, as a customer, I just really don't care about, and actually, speaks to the core of the issue....the staff is not trained, and the restaurant operations are run really poorly. Stopped by for some chili after a hike on the I-90 corridor. The decor is fun, there was a decent beer selection, and the food was good. However, the food prices were a little surprising. I suppose the costs are reasonable for a ski area during peak season, but I wouldn't say early October is necessarily peak season and it felt a little over-priced for what it was. It was also FREEZING inside, which again makes sense during ski season when everyone is all bundled up, but adjustments could be made for the non-skiing crowd when the slopes aren't open yet. After a day of snow tubing at the summit, my fiancé and I were starving for a some bomb grub. So we checked out the commonwealth. She ordered the French dip(the roast beef was FIRE!) and I ordered the C-dub club. Both were stacked with meat and both of us had plenty of leftovers! Don't tip before you get your order. You have to order and pay first. Not quick. Not courteous. If you want service skip this place. Chili was lukewarm. Few bacon bits nor blue cheese in wedge salad. No olive no lemon in martini even though requested. We were starving after a 3 hour hike but could have eaten faster and certainly better by driving back to Seattle to eat. read more

Anyone who has spent time at the Pass knows what constitutes food up there- a greasy slice of Alpental pizza, BBQ at Webb's or a Rosita's burrito. None of which have a shred of ambiance (unless you like worn out chalet/damp sock vibes) and don't even get me started on the pancake house. But the Commonwealth changed all that. On our last trip up we had breakfast one day and lunch another. The fresh pastries are ridiculously good. Homemade biscuits and jam and a blueberry scone that was hot out of the oven- honestly the best I've ever had. For lunch we had the burger and a couple of Dru Bru beers. The burger was super solid. Seattle hipster designer burger-type good. The potato wedges were the kind of crispy you can only get from frying something twice or using duck fat. The two best meals I've ever had at the Pass, hands down. Crazy good food. The service is definitely the hardest thing to nail up there but they are trying. Peak times get busy but that's a testament to how good it is- you're not the only one who wants to eat here and the staff is super busy. Stick with it, be patient and you're going to get a meal that's 5 times better than anything else within 20 miles. You might also meet some new friends or get a conditions report for that secret powder spot. The concept- from the decor to the table layout- is trying to create community and we definitely experienced that. Looking forward to our next stop in. read more

My family had a fabulous experience at Commonwealth! We went two days in a row and both times were excellent. For lunch on Friday we had a crabby, hungry 5 year old and our server brought out his food and drink super quickly. Instant happier kid! Then for dinner on Saturday we had to wait because we wanted a fire table and the host was creative and got us seated *before* he thought it could happen and Spencer (the only one whose name I got, unfortunately) was equally accommodating for us and especially the kid. This is one of our favorite places to stop, going back and forth over the pass. We travel quite a bit and get to see the staff often. The GM Britt always remembers us and it awesome. I can tell his staff enjoys working for him. I absolutely can't imagine the struggle restaurants have been going through during the shut downs. Commonwealth doesn't miss a beat. Manager Brick is as awful and terrible as they come. Along with with their server Chanelle. 3 weeks ago, husband our friend goes in with our two little ones. Waitress decided to shhhhh and told my 3 years old to be quiet. FIRST OF ALL!! Not your place!! Now to current date. I go in with my husband and kids. Same waitress shhhh my kid and tells my 1 year old we do not cry here. JUST WOW!!! Had a quick bite to eat, ask for our check. Gave my debit card without checking the tab. Waitress comes around, throws my receipt and debit card in table and mumbles, for got to charge you for your 2nd wine". Please let me know if I owe you, I would be more than happy to pay my portion!!!! Non the less, Service is shitty, and we decide to call management to let them Know our experiences. Manager brick was argumentative and did not care to listen. Last he said was he does not have kids, and try to accommodate for all his customers. NEVER AGAIN!! I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPY TO GIVE SOMEONE ELSE MY BUSINESS!!! (Btw...one star review was the minimum I had to give. I would give.) Edit response to reply: the first time when my husband was in my 3 year old wasn't screaming. He was just trying to get my husbands attention while the waitress was talking and was not loud in your almost empty restaurant. So you're response is a blatant lie. If you want to apologize then do so. If not don't waste everyone's time. And don't tell me your waitress was trying to calm my child when that clearly wasn't what happened. This general telling the customer they're wrong is the experience we have from everyone at the restaurant. Stopped here for a reprieve from a traffic jam at the pass on way home on a Sunday night. Took an hour for food to arrive from when we sat down because they were short staffed and pretty busy. They ran out of chicken and meatballs and mac and cheese. Service was poor and slow. The food was pretty bad - BBQ brisket sandwich had barely any meat(less than 2oz) and bun was crusty and didn't have much flavor. Soup that came on side was supposed to be pork and bean but then was just vegetables and a few beans. The chili was lacking flavor and Had hardly any meat and the cornbread was not cooked fully. Food was good, not extraordinary for the price. Desert was a definite five stars though. That was the best part. Got a chocolate chip cookie with the scoop of vanilla ice cream, the mason jar cheesecake and the apple crisp. All delicious. The employees are beyond rude! I would not recommend this place to anyone. We ordered to go, but there were lots of open tables so we asked if we could eat there instead, and have waters to start. The waiter said yes, but then ignored us and kept walking right past us. My boyfriend and I recently came here for the first time on our way home from a trip to Cle Elum, WA. Our server was very kind and accommodating, the atmosphere was romantic and welcoming, and the food was amazing! We had an amazing date night after our day of adventuring. Terrible experience here ! If I could give a negative star I would ! Can't even tell you if the food is good because we didn't eat . Stopped to DruBru and they sent us next door to Commonwealth to order , walked in and the bartender was taking my order I asked her if I could run out and ask my husband what he wanted and she said no problem. Walked back in two minutes later and another bartender said she couldn't take my order the kitchen is full. Why wouldn't the first one warn me to just make a choice for my husband, the second one said she saw me earlier why wouldn't she make an exception as I was told different. Arrived at 9:00 and yelp states 10pm close time. There are people still inside and lots of cars in the lot yet they are closed on a Friday night of a holiday weekend. I only give 1 stars for business that do not want my business. If you want to be a bar you can't keep banker's hours and close at 9 on a Friday night. We only tried one thing so it's hard to give more than 4 stars until I try more. We got a burger and it was so juicy and flavorful. We added bacon and avocado but it was more like guacamole (no complaints about that!). The potato wedge fries were awesome and it came with a garlic aioli dipping sauce. This place is tasty.... if they even decide to serve you. Got a to-go order the first time and was immediatley met with attitude when I said I was at Drubru. Mac n cheese was good, fries were non-uniform so the large pieces were undercooked and small pieces were burnt to a crisp. Then, the second time I wanted a to-go order and they said "no". There's obviously a beef between the two neighborhoring businesses. Such a loss for both. What a shame. read more

BEWARE! If sophey is your server, leave. She has ZERO experience in the serving industry and should not be in contact with customers. We were extremely kind to her and yet she was still rude. At first our sodas were flat, she took them back and slammed new ones on the table, upon doing so, the straw dropped on the table, she picked it up and stuck it back in the drink. We asked if she wouldn't mind replacing it since that's pretty gross, she very rudely grabbed the glass and stuck a new one in the drink, the same drink that she stuck the dirty straw in to begin with. Also, if you decide the service and prices aren't satisfactory and give a tip that reflects, the wait staff is prone to call you out in front of the patronage if said tip is less than they expect. This looks like the kind of place we would have liked but at 7:55 we were told it's 8:00 and that the kitchen is closed even though the place stays open until 9. We thought it was 8 so we didn't say anything- just surprised... then we looked at our phone clock on our way out the door. Love the new management here. Every thing is hand crafted and the prices are not ski-resort prices. I expected some frozen chili poppers thrown in the fryer; and I'd have been happy. These were hand cut, fresh peppers stuffed with goat cheese wrapped in bacon with a dusting (low carb) of crust. I'll drive here for dinner in the summer. read more

I've always liked the atmosphere at The Commonwealth--great design and style, indoor/outdoor seating and fireplaces, common tables and spaces to share with friends. The quality of the food has really risen with the new managers and chef. Tasty salads (beet and quinoa), creative specials (Ramen with pork and veggies was excellent on my recent visit), and desserts and cinnamon rolls to die for--thanks Katie. At peak times the service can be slower--time to enjoy your family and friends. They were quick to respond when my chili was a bit cool--replaced it and brought it out piping hot. Fun place to be after skiing Wed-Sunday or before on weekends. read more

This place offers family style seating which ads to their lack of organization. We sat for 15 minutes before we were even acknowledged. When we finally did get our menus and water our server was surly and unhelpful. She said they couldn't make the chicken and waffle burger we ordered so we ordered something else and later saw other tables getting the chicken and waffle burger. The queso was terrible, lumpy, congealed, chewy and didn't come as ordered. The hamburger we ordered was undercooked. They were out of the in-house brewed root beer, and only had one bottle of Henry Weinhard to offer. The whole experience took far too long for lunch and the food that was delivered as ordered was over priced and mediocre at best. We will not be returning here. read more
