My absolute favorite coffee shop in Ventura and probably one of the last coffee shops that are affordable, but extremely good...not a lot of people heard of this place and they need to come here, it is so worth it. I love their coffee and their build your own avocado toast is a must. No other place makes avocado toast as good as here and I've other local spots in Ventura (i.e. Simone's, Cafe Ficelle, Immigrant Son.) The bread they put the avocado and egg are so good and they have so many toppings to choose from. I usually pair my toast with a dirty chai with oat milk, an iced vanilla oat latte, or their matcha. The only thing I wish they had was better parking since it's so small. read more

Coffee was fine, nothing special, but not being able to order food two hours before closing is weird. A lady came after us also wanting food and was disappointed to hear the same thing. Probably one of the last affordable coffee shops in Ventura that is actually good! I love getting their matcha or even their lavender lattes. I enjoy the location and the charm of this café. They serve quality drinks and they have a 'special menu' posted. I've never had a special I didn't like here! Service is also very good. They highlight some cool local art on walls. I appreciate that they don't distract from art/interior by having retail, which I see taking over waiting areas at other cafes. I went during the week before work with my boyfriend because we love a good breakfast spot with out the wait. We were the first ones there for our first time. I ordered the #1 Avocado Toast, on sourdough is MUST w/ tomato, extra virgin olive oil, lemon pepper and I added a sunny side up egg. My boyfriend loves croissants so he went with the Copper Croissant sandwich. For drinks, all my chai tea latte lovers, this was one of the best chai's I have had in awhile! The owners of Valentino's have created yet another masterpiece with a charming coffee house, decorated with terra-cotta floors and warm tans & gold, the ambience is warm and inviting for anybody who loves to grab coffee with a friend, this is a perfect place to meet. I spoke with the owner Charlie who said they'd been open 3 months... 3 months and no Yelp profile, I told him that would be remedied. My choice of drink was a mocha blended, this isn't a classic blended you get at those other shops. For anyone that likes a coffee kick instead of a sugar buzz, this drink is for you. Visited first time today because we saw this post on Instagram last night which showed numerous cups of coffee with numbers below them and said they'd be having coffee tasting this morning. My friend who is a real coffee lover drove up from LA just for us to do the tasting however their tasting consisted of only one type of light roast coffee. Felt that picture was very misleading. The shop is clean and cute. They had outdoor seating. The staff were very friendly and service was good. The coffee was very good and the Avocado was amazing but we were very disappointed with the tasting. read more

I've been eyeing this place for awhile now! I always drive pass it & assumed it's just your usual coffee shop. This morning I wanted to stop at one place for a quick breakfast + açaí bowl & this is what came up! I was so excited to try this place out. Hard to miss as it's located on a corner. Parking is accessible at the back or the street. It's a small lot so spots are limited. I was greeted by a young man who was generous throughout my order. A+ on customer service! I ordered a #3 avocado toast with sourdough bread & açaí bowl to go. COVID restrictions involved floor sticker placements to keep distance & outdoor seating. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 was because the man from the hack (I'm assuming the cook?) wasn't wearing mask. If this is acceptable from ONE EMPLOYEE - I can't imagine how many more aren't wearing a mask in the back. If you think this is a hoax that's on you but at least be considerate to YOUR CUSTOMERS. Aside from that - the food was delicious! I expected more flavor from my avocado toast. I had to add more of my seasoning when I got home. I'll probably try a new one the next time I come back. But my açaí bowl... OMG so freaking good! There's definitely a secret ingredient that I need to get my hands on. The strawberries were too sour but that's no one's fault. great avocado toasts, and you can see the overlap with creative toasts + the pizza staff contributing to these ideas with stuff like the hot honey. however, do not order a tea latte if you value enjoyment at all when drinking things (if you do, etc). I don't doubt that they simply use powdered chai/matcha latte "mixes," which never taste good, not to mention how overpowering using an element like oat milk is when using such a barely-flavored powder.
