Great pub style restaurant... fantastic selection of beers on tap and great bar style food. Good mix of American foods, from salads to burgers to fish sandwiches. Ordered the 5th Ave burger...which was blue cheese and fantastic...only thing is it's not the biggest burger...so if you want to be really filled up, might want to go with something else a bit bigger. This place is awesome, beautiful inside and out, they have music videos on the TV, the layout is well spaced and there are a ton of beers on tap, including many local craft beers. I was greeted immediately upon arrival and while I was only drinking, the food I saw coming out of the kitchen looks amazing. The bartenders Dy and Patrick greeted us as soon as we sat down and checked on us repeatedly and were super friendly and helpful. Not nice. I have been pondering this for some time, and realized that I need to share my experience so that others will be prepared. Last summer during Pride, I had been told about a great place near the park. Indeed the location is spot on! The menu is vast and the food was very good. I had a corned beef sandwich and cocktail. My server was fantastic! She was attentive and professional. Why I gave this place 1 star is because of the extremely RUDE treatment I received when I parked in a designated parking spot for the Corner Drafthouse. Two employees were down in the garage doing something and they stopped and stared. The female, whom I later learned from a bartender, was THE MANAGER! Lauren is her name. She gave me so much crap for parking there, insinuating I was being fraudulent and taking up a spot. (There were still three open) she told me I could not park there unless I was a customer. I said I was and she mumbled something unkind and flared at me as if she was the sole owner of the spots! She later saw me up in the restaurant. She never apologized. Her rudeness showed as she scolded an employee and briskly walked past me. May I recommend that if you go here, take a picture of your car in the lot so that if Lauren comes by she sees proof. My son and I were very displeased and all because of a manager who has too much power and too little pro social skill. Our bill was close to $100. If I could give a minus 1, I would. I live in the neighborhood and have eaten here a hand full of times. The food is in consistent, and over priced. One afternoon I went in and got the sliders, they came out completely raw. I sent them back to be cooked. Still raw... I was told they were mixed up with another customer. Needless to say, I got food poisoning. I've never been so sick. I also reported the incident to the Health Department. I had left several messages for the Manager (Lauren) to make her aware. Great atmosphere but lousy food! I ordered a burger cooked medium and it was raw. I pointed it out to the server and she agreed it was raw but didn't offer to compensate us in any way. The fries were steak fries and had no crunch - not French fries. We moved to the area 2 months ago and we have been here about 6 times and the food is subpar. Again, this place has a great atmosphere but when you serve crappy food and don't fix you mistakes or offer some type of compensation, it goes to the management, service and chefs. Came here on a whim for lunch with a friend of mine and I really liked this place a lot. The decor was very trendy with a rustic feel to it. They serve your typical American food and have a lot of good beer on tap, so that's a plus. The staff were friendly and helpful which I appreciated. As for the food, I ordered their Grilled Portobello burger with a side of fries. The burger was actually really good for there not being any meat, but a little too much bleu cheese for my taste. The fries were nothing special, they had a generic Cajun seasoning but the portion was pretty generous. As for my friend, he ordered their New York Style Reuben sandwich. Now that a sandwich is a must if you ever come here. The marble rye bread was paired perfectly with the pastrami and sauerkraut, and that sauce was amazing. The only downside to this place, besides the mediocre fries, was the limited options of what we wanted to order. Some items on the menu were not available for lunch which I thought was a bummer. I originally wanted to order fish tacos but couldn't due to it being a "dinner item." But other than that, I definitely give this place a thumbs up because of the long draft list read more

I have yet to be disappointed. Came for dinner with the hubby celebrating our 7 year anniversary. I asked Daniel to bring out our favorite desert, the cheesecake in a jar, with happy anniversary written on a plate or something. Great ambience and decent food/drinks, but our server this last time around was pretty bad. She never cracked a smile until we got up to leave (even then, wasn't much of a smile), she never came around to ask us how everything was going or how the food / drinks tasted, and she legit complained (I was beside myself!) when my friend told her we wanted to pay separately. As a former server myself, I was shocked how poorly she attended to us given how nice and patient we were, not to mention that she didn't look busy at all. We have been here numerous times, and each time has been pleasant, thanks to great food, extensive beer selections, and most importantly, attentive and friendly staff. Caroline (hair like Pink) waited on us at the bar last time, and she was awesome. You must be doing something very well to employ such individuals who truly seem to enjoy their work. I am 58, and my husband is 60, so it is very refreshing to have such respectful, professional "youngsters" serving us. It is not that much of a rarity, but it is so appreciated all the same. Some servers in the industry seem to just go through the motions with people our age, but never at your establishment. Makes sense, as I believe Louise Hay (in her 90's) used to be a regular before she died (I know she lived in the area, and I thought I spotted her one day at lunch). We originally came just to kill time and grab a few drinks before our reservation across the street, BUT I think we might stay for food. Can't beat the great drinks and live music that just started. So I've been back many times since my first wish-washy experience and I must say, this corner spot in Bankers Hill has grown on me, especially during Covid. I love that they got creative with their big open windows and flipped around the chairs to make it bar seating. With several outdoor tables with umbrellas during the day and heat lamps for the evening, it's a great causal day or night option. I just had two bloody Mary's and the salmon toast with fruit this morning and it gave me my life back without being heavy. Their taco Tuesday nights are good too: I just had their chicken, veggie tacos this past Tuesday and will be back for another Tuesday happy hour soon.
