The waiter came and asked IF we ordered milkshakes, we did and received them after she left we realized she gave us two extra which we left on the table and did NOT proceed to drink them since they weren't ours, thus setting them aside. Moments later the lady at the front came screaming asking who took the milkshakes and we kindly said we did but left the extra ones in the table she proceed to ask us to pay her for them but we declined as she was screaming left and right and came back reached over a 4 year olds head and hit him with her arm, proceeding to call us dishonest and embarrass us. Great little burger stand serving beef, bison and elk. Atmosphere: This is an order that the outdoor counter place. They have 2 larger outdoor seating options; one covered and one not. They also have some seating inside incase of cold or rain. Food: They have burgers and sandwiches all served with fry's. I ordered the elk burger and added cheese and bacon because why not. The elk was cooked mid well as requested and was so tasty and not gamey at all. The fries were crispy and fresh. My wife ordered the bison which is best cooked medium but it came out on the well side. We should have return it but being the lines where long and we were hungry she just eat it. Service: The food took a little while to come out but they were busy and at times you get groups of 10 or more people coming at once. One person is bringing out all the food and drinks. But he is doing a good job and is super nice and friendly. Overall this is a good place. I have had better burgers and I have had worse. Great burger spot in Gardiner. Order at the counter place, line was a bit long but we received our food not too long after ordering. I had the bison burger and my husband had the elk burger. They do not ask what temp for your burger- I overheard the cashier say they cook them med-well. My bison burger was good but dry and overdone. The elk burger however was so delicious and juicy! The fries are house made and tasty, I wish they weren't cut as skinny but that's my personal preference. Service was friendly and I liked the selection of local beers available. I think I ate the best burger of my life here last night. I am not exaggerating. the key is that they start with local Montana beef from the Lazy SR Ranch, just a bit north of Livingston. So flavorful. From there, all they have to do is make sure they do it justice. And they did! We all had masks in our hands or on (none of us have a problem with wearing them) but she immediately got on my husband's case about either wearing it or standing six feet from the window when he was over six feet from the window. On our way through town from Yellowstone, we noticed the line outside of the order window, which we normally take as being a popular and good place to eat in small towns. The Corral did not disappoint, with excellent bison and elk burgers! They were juicy and not dry as we have experienced in other places. The business was run efficiently despite waiting about 15 minutes in line. The staff reminded patrons of appropriate social distancing and mandatory masks, while they all wore masks throughout the establishment. Again the meat was juicy, and tasted very fresh. Organic options are available, and I had the garden salad with fresh lettuce and toppings. This place was recommended to us by a local in a gas station we fueled at close by. They weren't busy (just my husband and I and one other guy was there) so service was fast. Outdoor seating was nice with shade available. View of the mountains was nice if there wasn't a playground right smack in front of us and the mountains. The food. The Bison and Elk burgers were delicious! They used the egg Kaiser buns which were fresh and held up well after each bite. Lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. The shoestring fries that accompanied the burgers were crispy. Each burger was $16 which I thought was a little pricey for the type of restaurant. It was very informal setting. We sat outside next to the parking lot which was dirt and gravel. I was a little worried about dust kicking up when people left but didn't appear to be issue. We saw a couple of elks that visited the house across the street. There was inside seating but I didn't look inside. The building itself looks little rustic. You order through an outside window that is the kitchen and servers will come and deliver your food to the table. Couple servers came by to check on us which was nice. read more

All arrived medium well to well done... completely cooked through. I went to the window to ask about it and the cook argued with me! He said, "this is medium rare" in an annoyed tone. I said, I've never had a burger medium rare this dark, it should be pink inside and he insists "it is pink". What?? Why are you arguing with me when you can clearly see the burger is completely brown inside? Maria needs to look for a new vocation that is not in the SERVICE industry. My other two friends left none to a minimal tip because she treated them rudely too.
