Delicious bison burger & fresh fries. There was a line to order but it went pretty fast and service was great!

The food, staff and location are all 5 stars. There is a very interesting selection of burgers. Bison, elk, etc. We just had traditional hamburgers but they were excellent. The burger was juicy and had really good flavor. The milkshakes also looked really good and they were really big. The service was great. She checked on us several times and took the time to ask about where we were from and what we were there to see. Very friendly. The location was awesome Great little spot. The weather was nice enough to sit outside. Only one bathroom but it was really clean. I highly recommend having a burger here. read more

Food was decent, but staff was completely disorganized and didn't understand the menu and beverage offerings. It was like they were all new to the restaurant. Elk burger was okay, but overcooked. Bison burger was the same. Wings were solid. Hand cut fries are great. Way overpriced for what you get. We spent $100 before tip for two burgers, wings, one wine, one 16 oz beer, a shake and a Dr Pepper. Wow! This place slaps (in a good way). We had a hankering for something hearty post visiting Yellowstone NPS. The Corral was walking distance from where we were staying, so we knew we sure had to check this place out. They had specialty items here that we wouldn't easily find otherwise in LA, that meaning: the elk and bison burger. Naturally, we were being tourists, so we wanted to order one of each. The simple char on the burger, mixed with the bun, the fixings, and the side of fries was just what our body needed to refuel post Yellowstone madness. I'll give this place a 3 to be generous. It was o.k not great by any means. Great atmosphere with outdoor seating and good music. The menu is very basic. The lady working the front is hard to understand and seemed to have a hard time understanding us too. We all had elk burgers which were good. The fries that came with them were overdone and crunchy and they forgot my kids drink. Had I known the quality was going to be like this I would have gave a much smaller tip. If/when I return I'll try other places first. The options are limited in this town. read more

My family and I stopped at The Corral for burgers while exploring Mammoth and Gardiner. The elk and bison burgers were pricey as expected, but were fantastic and comparable to others in the area. The burgers were well seasoned and cooked to temp perfectly. You order at the window before you find a seat in their open air patio, where a runner will deliver your food and drink. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Menu variety was good for those who'd prefer something other than a burger. Great beer selection as well. 10/10 would visit again when back in the area. read more

A quick walk up and order place that has very few indoor seats if you're looking for A/C. Service was nice but unfortunately the food didn't live up to the price tag. The burger was overcooked and dry with little to no seasoning. Not worth the $20 price tag in my opinion but the fries were tasty. No idea how this is the top rated burger in Gardiner. We tried both beef and bison burgers, and both were overcooked with limp veggies to dress them. Atmosphere is nice and staff is pretty friendly, but this isn't beating anywhere else in town - not that this is saying much. If you want a truly decent bison or elk burger, Wonderland is your best bet. read more

Passed by, looking for a place with a different exterior. Went back, as it was one of the only places open. Goes to show looks shouldn't leave any lasting impression. Pros: - The food was delicious and hearty! The burger menu was simple, yet had a good variety (they had beef, bison, elk and even veggie/vegetarian burgers!) The quality of the burgers also tasted pretty fresh (stayed they are locally sourced) - I would definitely recommend the deep fried cheese curds, they're like mini mozzarella cheese sticks! Their skinny French fries were also very delicious! - The servers (young male and female with Russian accents I think?) were great and very accommodating! They weren't bothered whenever we asked for help - the outdoor patio was lit up with bistro lights, so it has a good ambiance Cons: - the parking area is a little small and you may need to rely on street parking - there's only one bathroom stall, so you may need to wait - there was constantly a line to the register so there was a wait to order and get food, but that also indicates that this place is pretty popular - the guy at the register seemed like he didn't want to be there lol Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you want a good heavy meal after a day of walking or hiking, or if you just want a good burger! read more

The food is awesome! I got the Bison burger and it was very good and also got some fries on the side with it. The burger was a little big but was so good. The service was great too but you had to order at the window counter but they brought us our food. The ambiance was very nice but it was hot outside. Right next to the only market in Gardiner, it's a little off the beaten path but a nice find, unless you happen to be vegetarian. Although I have to say their mixed salad is surprisingly fresh and healthy with cucumbers, onions, tomatoes and mixed greens. Just not what you would necessarily expect from a roadside diner. I got the elk burger - yes they are all around here and in Mammoth Hot Springs and people and certainly into conservation and preservation of the park and it's wild inhabitants. Yet at the same time it's hard to find an eatery around here that doesn't serve Elk _____ or Bison _____ it Moose Drool, etc. so I gave it a try. A little gamier yes, but honestly if I was blind tasting I probably couldn't tell the difference. They do know how to cook medium rare and the patty was juicy and very flavorful. The crisp, shoestring fries were an excellent accompaniment. Tomato soup was excellent as well - chucks of tomato and breaded broth gave it great creamy texture. The burger was fresh and so were fries. I'm not sure what Elk is supposed to taste like, but this tasted like a regular burger to me. The burger could use a bit more seasoning for my tastes. $18 for a burger was a bit high in my opinion but I guess beats food in park. read more

There is not many place to eat around so i did a little research for places to eat in Gardiner, Montana. This place came first with many great reviews so i decided to check it by myself. Turns out this place is amazing! i've ate Bison burger somewhere else, which i didn't like it but i guarantee this is the place make a mean to Bison burger! It's perfectly seasoned and cooked so it's didn't have a weird taste of bison meat. Delicious place to eat in Gardiner. I will definitely return. I was there last month and it appeared to be closed during winter/off season. Disappointing, but understandable. Wife and kid had the beef burgers with bacon and cheese. Good sized portions and they were delicious. I had the Elk burger and it was good but I thought could've used a touch more seasoning. All of our fries needed a solid 2-3 minutes more in the fryer but otherwise were good. Canned soda for $3 a piece is a bit much for me. Very cute spot with a tasty bison burger you can just tell is fresh and of high quality. We had spent a longggg day of hiking and driving around Yellowstone and The CORRAL really hit the spot. Elk Burger and Bison burger and two drinks =$56.82 Not sure what I was expecting from the Elk- it did give a different flavor-taste on the meat the Bison gave more of a beef flavor to it. I don't think they are worth what we paid for but then again "it was Elk and Bison." Expensive tourist trap burger joint. The staff working during my visit spoke English, but didn't understand it. Things that caught my ear was having to explain what "plain" meant and clarifying that yes, chicken tenders and chicken strips were the same thing. I ended up ordering an entire extra sandwich by accident, and when I tried to find a worker to interrupt them from making the unwanted item, they told me to speak to the cashier. The same one that got the order wrong in the first place. Burgers were good but very well done. Relatively tasteless fries and beef. If your lodging has a grill, you can definitely make your own that is better. Oh. Did I mention $20 burgers, $8 shakes, a default 20% gratuity for McDonalds level service, and a 3% credit card fee? One of the few restaurants open last week of October. Service is great! Burgers were fair. That being said they do make a nice salad.

I'll keep this short and sweet. The staff are great. Our server was incredibly nice and attentive. I can't remember her name, but she was awesome. (Losing her hearing, but still marching on.) So, whoever you are nice lady...you go girl! That's about all I can say while trying to be nice. If you're hungry, and no other place is open. Eat at the Corral. One of the coolest places to eat just outside of Yellowstone. The outdoor patio has all different types of tables and even has a view of the mountains. Our food came out super fast. Do NOT trust this place to provide gluten-free food. I am not sure why there are reviews saying they have gluten-free options-- they do not. I ordered a dry salad with chicken breast to have something safely gluten-free, and it came with croutons. I sent it back, explaining that the salad would need to be remade. It was brought back and I ate a fair bit of it before discovering croutons deeper in the salad. They had just picked off the visible ones and brought it back to me. So angry. I am driving cross country and now will be dealing with a celiac reaction for the rest of my trip and several more weeks. :-( Besides that, my partner had the bison burger, which was not great, and the fries, which were limp and greasy. Great spot to grab a meal after coming through Yellowstone National Park. My husband and I and my in-laws each had a burger with fries. The burgers were excellent and hit the spot.
