Ok...so I've been here 3x and the 4th was not a charm. I brought my husband here for his birthday last week...it was very busy. Our waitress approached our table... and instead of greeting and introducing herself, she said very dryly "what can I get you to drink?" The vibe and tone was set and it felt like this was not going to be good service. My husband said "Hi, what's your name?" She said "Ashley". We then ordered an iced tea and a beer. She brought it over and we then ordered two apps...steamed clams (delish) and the crab cake (meh). The steamed clams arrived with no bread, which was stated as included on the menu. My husband's crab cake arrived with a giant portion of plain, undressed mixed lettuce ($18). He said "shouldn't there be dressing on this?" She said "it's a garnish." Now, I know garnishes...and this was a huge portion of field greens that should've had some sort of dressing....something.... on it. He asked for dressing and I asked for the grilled bread...to which she replied "I'll bring you one but if you want more, I'll have to charge you for it". Okaaayyyyy. We then ordered our meals...mine was the ahi tuna salad, which I have had on 3 separate occasions and it was excellent. This time, the ahi arrive partially cooked and not raw. Nevertheless I ate it. My husband ordered the seafood pasta, which literally looked like a heaping pile of spaghetti with jarred sauce poured all over the top with a few pieces of seafood thrown in....no parmesan offered, no bread, no crushed red pepper (which we asked for) Nothing. After we finished, we then ordered key lime pie (delish) but was not given any utensils to eat it with. Twice we had to ask for napkins and utensils. No tea refills, no "would you like another beer?" Terrible terrible service. The Cove was not good that day and I as disappointed that my husband's birthday lunch was not as amazing as I talked it up to be. Get it together, Ashley. Whether you were having a bad day or not, you need to put your troubles in your back pocket...you're a server and people expect good service.... and THAT'S why you only got a 15% tip, even though I should have given you 10%. read more

I went to The Cove 4 times in 1 week! The mahi-mahi is so delicious with that mango pico on top! The crake cake meal was delicious as well! The crake cakes are moist and the sauce that comes with it is delicious! I also got to the fish and chips one night and that was also delicious! The staff are great! Hadn't been here in years. But, it was remodeled, now had new owners, and I thought I would give it a try. Place was kind of empty for the peak of tourist season. The food and service were ok. Water views are great, however, not quite why they sat us far from the water when the restaurant was virtually empty. So, glad I gave it a try after many years, but, there are a lot better places on the water and I'll go to those other places before I come back here. read more

What more could you want in a South Florida restaurant? It has the look, outside dinning on the intercostal, with a truly beautiful renovation and yet the food is still disgusting!! Fish dip? Rancid! Chicken wings? Raw! My husband had the tuna tacos and said they were decent, but serving uncooked food-- Are you trying to give us food poisoning?? Chefs...take pride in what you put out!! DO BETTER!!!! Additionally, there are few vegetarian options, and if you want a non-alcoholic beverage, the same applies. Their pina coladas are pre-mixed with alcohol, so you can't get a non alcoholic one if you tried... Though we didn't ask to speak with him, the only positive was when the manager (who is a very nice guy!) came over, apologized, and agreed that much needed improvement in the kitchen needed to occur. read more

The location is amazing!! The restaurant is beautiful and the renovations do look amazing. I have been going here for years since before they changed owners. My recent experiences were unfortunately not what I was expecting. We came at a slow time for lunch and there were 6 of us. When my friends and I got to the host the first thing they said was we can't sit you all together because they aren't allowed to move tables. After saying I could help lift them so they don't scratch the deck they allowed us to sit in an area that they could move the tables. When it came to the food the chicken wings were great. The nachos tasted great but I did feel they didn't put as much fish as they used to and for the price wouldn't order it again. The pasta was amazing my friend finished the whole thing. I was looking forward to the mahi sandwich but the fish tasted a little off (probably not their fault). The service was ok. Our waitress was nice, but sitting so far from the rest of her tables made refilling waters a little slow. It felt like we were a burden to them. I will be back again to see if it improves, but at this moment I was not impressed or wowed at all. read more

So i have no interest in say bad things about places and before i've been at the cove, i must say that i've heard loads of stories about this place. I might get unlucky and st this day, many things got messy. I went with my gf to get the brunch and even early, i think we must have been waiting around 20min to get served. Once the food came it was super cold. The server was super nice and immediately she got the new ones. Second meal came properly and i gotta say it was one of the best quesadillas i ever had. I was trying to find the server again to get the menu once but again, gotta be waited for more 15min i wish than she came with the bill and i thought "wrf?".. So i payed than gone. As a first time was a bit bad but i'll be back sure to get 1 second chance to have a good time. read more

Decent waterfront experience with good service! We arrived on a weekday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't packed but it was slowly getting busier. We came for lunch and we told to pick any seats we wanted near the bar. We decided on a high top table near the water. After a few moments our server greeted us and gave us menus to look over. Our waitress was very rude and seemed very annoyed at life when my family and I went for dinner last weekend. My husband ordered a drink and when he set it down after his first sip the glass broke in his hand. Our kids were fine and we cleaned most of it up ourselves. When she came to the table we told her the glass broke, if we can get more napkins to finish cleaning the table, and if he can get another drink. She brought us the drink and we had dinner. The check came and she was charging him for both drinks and when we showed her the double charge she was annoyed. She said "well I gave you the first drink you ordered"......... I'm sorry what?! We told her AGAIN the first drink he had, the glass broke & the drink went everywhere. She's the one who took the broken glass off the table that was sitting in the puddle dripping off the table all over the floor of his drink that he didn't even drink so why is she charging him for the first drink?!?! She was mad we asked for it to be taken off, then she rolled her eyes as she walked away to fix the check. My husband and I had lunch with a friend at The Cove. I thought the bbq ribs were terrific, and the setting is lovely.

First time trying the Cove on New Years Eve and we were sat immediately with no wait around 6pm. The best part of this restaurant is the cool bar and outdoor area so I can't wait for the tiki bar to finish construction too. Food is so-so... I got the tuna noodle salad which was delicious but nothing special. My dad rated the burger as average too. All in all, food is 3 stars but ambience and location is 5 stars. What a complete change after the renovations. This was my first time being here, since it was redone under new ownership. They really did a great job!! They made the space look so much bigger with so much more seating and truly an awesome vibe. There was live music there, as well as string lights at night that really set the mood. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, and my friend ordered the mahi tacos. She could not stop talking about how delicious they were! My grilled chicken sandwich was good, nothing to write about. The one thing that I was missing off the old menu that was my favorite, was the crab dip. I would always go Two George's, just for the crab dip. Bummer. Lively bar/restaurant located on the waterfront . Lots of space to choose where to sit whether waterfront side or in the few bars scattered throughout the premises. Our server Amanda was very attentive and super kind. In the midst of so many patrons she was able to check on us and ask how our meal was. I highly recommend the coconut shrimp topped with mango and the clam chowder! The Cove Burger was good but did come out undercooked the first time. Tabatha was our Server and was as nice as she could be. All the food looked terrific but we settled on New England Clam Chowder and Fish & Chips. Everything was delicious and we really enjoyed ourselves. Tabatha was so nice, as she brought us up to date with with the new construction. That will be a big hit. I visited the end of December 2023. The atmosphere is very nice, and it is especially great if you get waterfront seating. The service I recieved was fine, but nothing truly special. While I just got a burger and fries, the food itself wasn't to shabby at all. As far as the prices, I felt it was over priced, but to me everything feels overpriced in modern times! I went back and forth between 3 and 4 stars, but at the end of the day I gave it 3 out of 5 stars b/c I can think of a number of restaurants that I like more with a bit better service and marginally lower prices. However, a 3.5 out of 5 stars is what this restaurant deserves and what I would score it if Yelp allowed such a rating. In sum, it is a good choice and a more than viable option if you are in Deerfield Beach or The Cove itself. Recommend. read more

Very gorgeous venue and delicious food! We called to get a reservation but found out that they don't do them there. We decided to take our chances with walk-in and there was no problem for a seating for 9. We ordered quickly and food started coming out not too long after! They had fans going so it didn't feel crazy hot. We weren't sat by the water but the interior of the restaurant was gorgeous. The food was definitely a hit for our party. Our waitress Autumn made our evening special with her professionalism and kind personality. The food was delicious. We sampled a calamari appetizer, which was fresh and delicate. The BBQ ribs were amazing. I ordered a 4 cheese macaroni starter and a fresh, delicious, and generously sized lobster roll. But the person who made the entire experience memorable was Autumn.
