Everything! From the time we stepped inside with a warm welcome to when we left. Book this restaurant for Father's Day if you can and request Erica our server! You walk in and see this huge bar . They walked us to our private room. Again, ERICA was our server. We were served huge cocktail shrimp and calamari. Had a choice of Caesar or house salad . Chowder with clam cakes. All delicious. This was my first visit here since it was the cove. It was really pretty inside, open with high beamed ceilings. A nice bar in the center of the room with ample seating along large windows facing the river. We were seated right away and given menus and specials. We came in for the chowder, clam cake and lobster roll special so that's what I got. Also added a half dozen clam cakes app Clam cakes came out hot and were absolutely delicious. Not greasy and full of flavor. Chowder was good as well. Thick and creamy Lobster roll comes 2 ways, hot with butter or cold with mayo. Went with cold and it was very good. Was very excited to catch up with some friends over a nice dinner however the experience wasn't what we hoped. The service was very poor. Drinks were good but we didn't get our food until two hours after we sat down and it was cold. We also ordered the gluten free chicken tenders thinking they would be breaded chicken tenders but it was just grilled chicken. Another item was missing the steak add on and once it was brought out it was not cooked correctly. Overall the experience felt a little misleading. What a fun and delicious dinner we had at The Cove Restaurant. Our amazing server Noelle, brought on her solid experience and great server energy. A server can really make or break your dining experience and Noelle really made it happen. She was very attentive and knew you could tell, having worked there for years. We were in the mood for some seafood and if that's what you're looking for, The Cove has it all. Have you ever tried Lobster Nachos? Well, theirs were delish and just what we were looking for. Just because we're in New England, we wanted even more lobster, so we ordered the 2 pound Baked Stuffed Lobster. It was filled with tons of scallops, shrimp and crabmeat and we both shared it. They also have a really big bar and there was a lot of drink shaking going on. It's winter-time now but i cannot even imagine how busy this place gets in-season as they have an amazing outdoor space with live music too. I brought my family from out of town to The Cove. We were able to sit outside. The service was amazing. The food was top notch. We ordered oysters, clam cakes, and calamari for appetizers that were all amazing and flavorful! My mom ordered the fish and chips with an impressive big piece of fish. This restaurant is right on the water and I really enjoyed the nautical feel and motif. It's right across from Battleship Cove so the scenery from windows are incredible. This really is more like country club type place and the food and the bill reflect that. The service was incredible and Hailey P. was an incredible server. I might have developed a small crush on her, lol. The full pound lobster roll was the very best I've ever had. It was entirely too much for me to eat. Plenty went back to the hotel with me. The oysters were phenomenal as was every facet of our meal. The building itself is stunning and very very clean. A sort of "upper crust" clientele for sure. We saw the seafood trio advertised so we had to get here. The lobster roll had a generous serving of lobster but it wasn't the best flavoring. The crab cakes had barely any crab; they were mostly bread. The chowder was delicious and I'd get that again. The chicken tenders were great with a tasty sauce. The French fries are a must. This restaurant is a Fall River staple! I visited with my partner and had a fabulous time! We were given a table by the window looking right at the USS Massachusetts at Battleship Cove. Where else can you enjoy great food and drink with such a view? I should have taken greater care to learn the name of our server, as she was wonderful! For drinks we got the Banana Bread Mule and the Blackberry Limoncello Gin Smash. The mule was very tasty, and is a nice mid-ground between a dinner and dessert drink. The blackberry drink was also very good. I do not like muddled fruit, and was informed that I could order the drink without the muddled fruit; thats a great option! For food, we ordered the Rhode Island Fried Calamari. It was very good. The fried bits were crispy, and the peppers were spicy. The pomodoro (Italian for "tomato") sauce was good, although I prefer a chipotle mayo or similar dip with my calamari. The pizza with shrimp and spinach was delicious. Interestingly, I cannot remember what the pizza is called. The menu on the restaurant's website is not updated. I really enjoyed it, but wished there was more shrimp on it. The buffalo chicken mac and cheese was wonderful and very filling. This is a great restaurant for almost any occasion! The staff are more than courteous. The drinks are refreshing and the food is tasty! Definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in the area. Watch out for battleships, haha! read more

We finally made it to The Cove on a rainy Thursday Night. We were seated pretty quick. Spacious and well lit in the dining spaces, we sat inside obvi. So for starters we had the clam cakes. They come in a half dozen and dozen. I told my boyfriend to get half, he decided on the whole dozen for the two of us.. don't get the whole dozen. Their crust was nice but of course it was mostly dough. There was some chopped clam inside but very little and what was in there was chewy. My BF had the Baked Stuffed Lobster( he took the vid -_-), the claws were the most tasty. The inside was again mostly filling and small shrimp/scallop. Definitely don't feel like it was our money's worth. I decided on the Catch of the Day which was halibut with a pineapple salsa along with broccoli and roasted red potatoes. My meal was great. The halibut was light and flaky, the broccoli a nice texture and the potatoes roasted to perfection. Everything came out hot so I loved that. Overall, the whole experience.. a 6/10. Our go-to spot in the city! My husband and I celebrated here with our siblings the night before our wedding, and we've been back several times since. The food is consistently impressive, and the service is always top-notch and speedy! We didn't have a reservation, but my husband knew a manager who kindly seated us just before closing. The ambiance is great. Our Favorites: The buffalo tenders were spot-on with just the right kick (5/5), and the salmon with rice was beautifully prepared (4/5). The shrimp Mozambique had a great flavor (3.5/5), and the dessert was satisfyingly sweet (4/5). A few misses included the lobster roll, which we found bland (2/5), and the flatbread, which didn't meet expectations (2/5). Still, we love the food here and will keep coming back. I know I'm late to the party, I've been here for drinks. But never sat down for food. I'm a cook, and the chicken picatta was the most amazing one I've ever had. I try them all over and this was top tier. Pasta cooked to perfection, sauce was made amazingly. I will back for this specifically. I came here with my bridal party after dress shopping for dinner on a Sunday in March. It wasn't crowded but still had plenty of patrons to be considered busy for the off season. Our waitress was friendly but the service itself was on the slower side. My party of 6 all got something different from the menu, and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Came to the cove as I'm looking for good seafood on the water within the area. Look at the menu not a very large selection, but several things caught my eyes so started with the clam chowder. Excellent . I thought I ordered the stuffed clam appetizer but got some fritters of some kind- good , more carbs than I wanted but are a few then ordered the fish and chips. I'm a huge fish and chips fan so got my plate and wow- huge portions !! Can't complain but was a lot of breading and grease and breading so peeled that off for a great white cod that was tasty and flavorful. Couldn't eat it all but for nearly $30, I ate it. Overall, wasn't blown away, wasn't crowded, service was ok place was clean - just expected a more of a crowd and a lot of locals . Typically the key places are packed during the 7pm he but all in all, good food, pricy a bit , but good quality and was able to get a good meal and a couple beers. I ordered through DoorDash, so I can't speak for the restaurant itself. However- the fish and chip!? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Fresh fish, and a large portion of fries. The tartar sauce here is almost the best part. The prices are a bit higher in comparison to other restaurants in the area- as I paid $30 for my meal. We had a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and seated on the deck. 5 stars for the service and atmosphere, 3.5 stars for the food. We arrived around 2:30 pm and checked in at the deck-side hostess station. The hostess was friendly, took our information and estimated a 30 minute wait. We had a cocktail at the back bar where a live band was performing. After about 15 minutes our table was ready. We had a nice view of the harbor and I-195 bridge. Our waitperson 'Dee' greeted us and took our drink order of Tito's, cranberry juice with lime, and RI style calamari appetizer. It was quite busy so I was expecting to wait for drinks and the calamari to be served, but both arrived within 10 minutes, the drinks within five. The calamari was crispy and good but could have been spicier. We ordered a lobster roll with fries, cup of clam chowder and a house salad. The lobster was fresh but a bit on the bland side, added ground pepper made it much tastier, the fries were crunch and delicious. The chowder was good but arrived warm not hot like I prefer. The salad was fresh and enough for two people. Overall, we had a nice time listening to the band, enjoyed the view and had a nice meal. My sweet mother and cousin threw me a bridal shower here. It was my location choice but The Cove made my whole experience wonderful. Everything was able to set up beautifully and they brought the food with perfect timing. The food was also delicious; we started with a cup of clam chowder. Then brunch was pre ordered so we had French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, chicken, pasta and mixed veggies. Everything was cooked perfect and tasted amazing. There was way more than enough food for the 40 people we had. We were in the smaller room as we had less than 50 people but there is also a bigger event room for over 50 people. The view to the bridge was so good and our wait staff was very attentive. Very disappointing!!! We went there to see a band and we ask a waitress if we could order some food. We were told there was no table service where we were but we could get a take out order and eat there. She said she would bring us a menu which she did ten minutes later. Then she told us she would be right back but 30 minutes later, no waitress. We then went to the bar to place the order which took another 10 minutes to get a bartender to take our order. The food definitely wasn't worth the wait. We ordered a pizza which had very little taste and was overpriced. While we were eating, we were then told by management that we weren't supposed to be eating there. Imagine a restaurant that doesn't want you eating their food. They didn't have enough people. The order was wrong. Just to have dinner we were there for almost 3 hours! Our dinners came out a different times. They were four people. We were lied to by one server and told the truth by another server regarding an item that they had but the first server was too busy I suppose is the word or simply lazy? I don't know. But he lied. Said they were out of something. Another server came by and we asked and they brought it out. It was a horrible experience all together and would never go there again.
