Everything! From the time we stepped inside with a warm welcome to when we left. Book this restaurant for Father's Day if you can and request Erica our server! [[HIGHLIGHT]]You walk in and see this huge bar[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . [[HIGHLIGHT]]They walked us to our private room.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Again, ERICA was our server. We were served huge cocktail shrimp and calamari. Had a choice of Caesar or house salad . Chowder with clam cakes. All delicious. Most of us ordered the Baked Lobster! From my pictures you'll see why. Your mouth will water. lol Others got the salmon or steak tips over mushroom sauce. What a large portion. Erica again was outstanding! The cocktails were amazing! We drove from RI and took us about 30 minutes. Worth the drive! So call them up immediately to see if you can get in for Father's Day or any celebration! Ask for ERICA!

This was my first visit here since it was the cove. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was really pretty inside, open with high beamed ceilings. A nice bar in the center of the room with ample seating along large windows facing the river.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated right away and given menus and specials. We came in for the chowder, clam cake and lobster roll special so that's what I got. Also added a half dozen clam cakes app Clam cakes came out hot and were absolutely delicious. Not greasy and full of flavor. Chowder was good as well. Thick and creamy Lobster roll comes 2 ways, hot with butter or cold with mayo. Went with cold and it was very good. Plenty of meat and cooked just right Had a banana bread old fashioned. A little unconventional but very tasty. Overall was a great visit and wished I lived closer, I'd be there frequently!

What a fun and delicious dinner we had at The Cove Restaurant. Our amazing server Noelle, brought on her solid experience and great server energy. A server can really make or break your dining experience and Noelle really made it happen. She was very attentive and knew you could tell, having worked there for years. We were in the mood for some seafood and if that's what you're looking for, The Cove has it all. Have you ever tried Lobster Nachos? Well, theirs were delish and just what we were looking for. Just because we're in New England, we wanted even more lobster, so we ordered the 2 pound Baked Stuffed Lobster. It was filled with tons of scallops, shrimp and crabmeat and we both shared it. They also have a really big bar and there was a lot of drink shaking going on. It's winter-time now but i cannot even imagine how busy this place gets in-season as they have an amazing outdoor space with live music too. There are also a bunch of screens so you can watch your game too! But for winter, The Cove is a nice cozy spot to enjoy a great meal with family and friends. There's even a pretty fireplace if you can grab a table near it. Thanks again, Noelle for making our dining experience a memorable one and Happy Birthday!!

I brought my family from out of town to The Cove. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We were able to sit outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was amazing. The food was top notch. We ordered oysters, clam cakes, and calamari for appetizers that were all amazing and flavorful! My mom ordered the fish and chips with an impressive big piece of fish. Fish tacos were ordered and devoured. I ordered the Pan seared Salmon that was delicious! Family was very impressed! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Didn't take many pictures we were too busy enjoying the food, view and each other's company![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This restaurant is right on the water and I really enjoyed the nautical feel and motif. It's right across from Battleship Cove so the scenery from windows are incredible. This really is more like country club type place and the food and the bill reflect that. The service was incredible and Hailey P. was an incredible server. I might have developed a small crush on her, lol. The full pound lobster roll was the very best I've ever had. It was entirely too much for me to eat. Plenty went back to the hotel with me. The oysters were phenomenal as was every facet of our meal. The building itself is stunning and very very clean. A sort of "upper crust" clientele for sure. The only drawback was that it's extremely expensive. It was three hundred dollars for lunch with four people. The fish and chips is world class.

My friend knows much more about wine than I do, so he was the decision maker for our wine choices and we ordered a 1/2 bottle of red which we both found to be very delicious. Of course, we had to try some food too and the small bites menu was perfect with something to satisfy nearly every taste. We opted for the meat charcuterie, and it was beautifully presented with enough for the two of us to share. There is also a cheese charcuterie on the menu, but unfortunately there is not an option for a combined meat and cheese plate. We sat, sipped, and tasted for a while and never felt rushed. The atmosphere was so comfortable and we'll definitely consider going back here again.

I can browse a liquor store & pick out a bottle that exactly fits my preferences, my mood, & my budget. I can bring it home & uncork the wine, checking the cork for freshness. I can pull out my special glassware & pour myself a glass of wine & enjoy it on my own couch. So why go out to a wine bar, if not for the wine? For me, it's for the ambience & the experience. Both of those things at Providence Wine Bar were lacking. The lights were too bright (overhead & fluorescent) & the music was too loud (& just bad). The employees seemed both bored & nervous, with not much to do to occupy themselves. I was one of the only people in the bar, so I felt like I was under scrutiny - I'm certain this wasn't intentional but it was unfortunately how it came across. I brought a book but couldn't focus because of the lights & the music. I even caught myself with my fingers in my ears, trying to muffle the sounds of 2010s hyper pop. I have nothing against 2010s hyperpop, it's just that there's a time & place for everything, & maybe that isn't at a wine bar at 8 PM on a Wednesday. I just wanted to be done with my glass of wine so that I could leave. All of that being said, I wish them the best. It seems like they need a good manager's touch.

The first time I came was on a Sunday, and the restaurant was very quiet with only a few people there. The server who took our order completely forgot to ring in our drinks and food--not once, but twice. We waited around 30 minutes before anything arrived, and when it finally did, the drinks were incorrect. What made the situation worse was that the server never apologized or acknowledged the mistake. That being said, the food itself was excellent and honestly a 10/10. I decided to give the restaurant another chance and came back on a Friday, expecting a better experience. Unfortunately, the service was even worse this time. The servers seemed extremely unorganized and unprofessional. We waited about 10 minutes just to receive menus. When we tried to order two different bottles of wine, we were immediately told they didn't have either one, without much explanation or any attempt to offer alternatives. The atmosphere is supposed to be calm and relaxing, but one of the servers was extremely loud, which took away from the overall experience. I also noticed a child behind the bar, who was later driving a scooter around the back parking lot. Whether or not this is typical, it definitely added to the feeling that the restaurant lacked organization and professionalism. To be fair, the food was once again very good, and I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the food. The biggest issue is the customer service and overall management of the dining experience. There is clearly a lot of potential here, but the service needs significant improvement. It's especially disappointing because I originally heard about this place through an employee who works across the street at their other location. She was incredibly sweet, professional, and had a great personality, which gave me high expectations coming here. Unfortunately, the experience at this location did not come close to matching that level of hospitality. I really hope they take this feedback seriously because the food is genuinely amazing. With better organization, communication, and customer service, this could be a much better dining experience.

Whimsical posters dressed up the plain but cozy room (a rabbit in a pink bathrobe holding a bottle of champagne and divers leaping into a wine glass). I could have spent all afternoon there, reading and sipping. But I had places to be. If I stayed longer I might have tried some of the food. The Russell family has been crafting wine here since 1982, and that generational passion shows in every single pour. This isn't some corporate operation -- it's a fifth-generation family of vintners tending 80 acres of vineyard on a 435-acre farm , and you feel that love and care the moment you step on the grounds. The wines themselves are world-class. Their champagne-style sparkling wines are rated in the top 100 in the world and have even been served at the White House -- twice. And yet somehow they remain approachable and unpretentious. Their flagship Brut RJR offers compelling aromas of apples and toast, with fine tiny bubbles, crisp citrus, and a lengthy, satisfying finish -- at a price point that makes you feel like you've discovered a secret. The Atlantic Northeast's cool maritime climate and the farm's rich soils layered with granite over glacial outwash give the wines a gorgeous balance of luscious fruit and bright acidity that you simply won't find anywhere else. There are no wines on the planet that pair better with local New England seafood. The outdoor patio with vineyard views is absolutely beautiful , and the Friday evening Sunset Concert series makes this one of the most charming date-night or weekend destinations on the South Coast.
