A-OK diner, great for breakfast & brunch after enjoying a hike up Mt. Falcon. Service was friendly & my coffee kept getting refilled - this is the key to keeping me happy at breakfast! I ordered the Santa Fe Scramble - for $8.99 eggs scrambled with fresh salsa, Monterrey jack cheese and tortilla strips. The menu doesn't mention it also comes with your choice of toast & potatoes. I thought this meal had great value but was confused by the corn chips on top of the eggs... there needed to be salsa on the side or beans with this dish, the chips were dry and all of the salsa was mixed in with the eggs so I kind of just pushed them aside. My husband thought the biscuits & gravy and would order them again. No complaints from him, he just wishes the biscuits were fluffier, they were a little dense for his taste. We came here for Sunday lunch today. There was 11 of us who showed up and our tables had to be split because it was so busy. It's comforting when a place is busy like that, you can trust the food should be good. It's a shame that it's a little cramped, no room for a stroller but they were quick to tell us that it wouldn't fit, just to bring the bassinet in and that there was somewhere we could store the base around the back. They have a sling for the baby carrier but ours is bigger than most and didn't fit so we had to use a chair. It got a bit complicated when we couldn't fit the bassinet next to us anymore because we now had to make room for another table behind us to be split and made into two smaller tables. There was a spare seat at the other table of ours which was a few feet away and we were asked to leave the baby at that spare seat which I wasn't comfortable with but one of our beautiful friends moved so we could fit him in with us. The manager/owner? was apologetic and thanked us for accommodating but it was a bit of a pain in the ass for a while there. The service wasn't too bad and the food came out quickly. I got the mango and goat cheese salad. It was pretty delicious but might have been better with some pine nuts or something sprinkled on top for some more crunch. My hubby had the steak sandwich and said he enjoyed it. The steak was thin but still good. If we're back in the area looking for a place to eat, I'd certainly come back but it would be much easier if we have an odd number of people at the table! read more

Whether you're heading to a Red Rocks concert or just exploring the area, I would recommend grabbing some food or an ice-cream cone here! Can't say anything on service or food, but their online wait list is an additional "15+ minutes" to get a table. Put our name on at 10-15 minutes as we were that far out. The menu looked great, the hostess was friendly, we were told to expect a 15 to 20 minute wait and that we would receive two texts. One confirming my number, and a second when our table was ready. We got their initial text that also directed us to Yelp to watch our place in line. I thought that was a pretty cool feature. However, after 30 minutes I still hadn't received their second text to let us know that our seat was ready, but on my second visit to Yelp to check our status, it said that we were removed from the waitlist. WTH?! We were seated quickly next-door at Tap on the Rocks which was great. Update: If you know that you have problems with your technology, you had my phone number. This joint is adorable, and a great place to visit. Surrounded by great shopping in a cute small town right outside Red Rock Amphitheater. The food was fantastic! The only problem was that they forgot about 2 of our group's food and said they'd take care of it, when we asked if they did. 20 minutes later it hadn't come out and we asked again and they apologized again. 10 minutes later it came out but we had to go in around 2 minutes, so they had to scarf it down. I understand this happens at places from time to time, but we came back to get ice cream later and they didn't come to seat us this time... maybe they were mad? I have no idea. We ended up leaving.
