I've been coming here for breakfast regularly for a while now, but unfortunately the experience has gone downhill. On multiple visits lately, I've seen a young Hispanic hostess in the back packing food with her hair hanging down, which doesn't seem very sanitary. She also isn't very friendly, is extremely slow to greet customers, and when she is at the front, she always seems to be on her phone. More often than not, she seems too busy messing around, having conversations or eating in the back to acknowledge customers waiting to be seated, which is becoming annoying. The restaurant also doesn't seem to be running as well as it used to. Even when it isn't busy, the kitchen and service often seem slow or overwhelmed. Most of the servers are still friendly and do their best, but the overall experience has definitely declined. On top of that, the food quality has also declined while prices have continued to increase, which makes it harder to justify coming back as often. It's disappointing because this used to be one of my favorite breakfast spots. read more

The stand out was Lorissa the server. She is Very good at her job. She made rounds at all the right times. I saw her make sure everyone's coffee was always topped off while also handling other small tasks. She just has it down to a science. In addition, this place is a Solid breakfast spot. I got the Create Your Own skillet with sausage. LOTS of potatoes and cheese. I left stuffed. Food was good. Atmosphere is nice with lots of locals having coffee or mini-business meetings (Monday morning 7am) and friendly staff. Just what you need with your coffee in the AM. read more

I recently visited The Cracked Egg for breakfast, and while the service was excellent, the food was a major disappointment. Starting with the positives the hostess was very welcoming and accommodating. We requested a booth, and she made it happen. Our server Andi, was also fantastic. She was attentive, friendly, and kept our waters filled without us having to ask. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant was clean, and we were seated within five minutes. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the service. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and it was hands down the worst I've ever had. It looked and tasted like something from a movie theater concession stand. There were no tortilla chips in it, just some random jalapeños thrown on top, which left me confused and the cheese they use tasted so cheap. The scramble was completely flavorless, and the hash browns were undercooked--you can even see in the photo how bland they looked. At nearly $17, it was definitely not worth the price, maybe $8 at most. The one redeeming factor, besides the service, was their tea selection, which was decent. But overall, the food was such a letdown that I don't think I'll be back to try anything else on the menu. If you're looking for great service and a nice atmosphere, this place delivers--but if you're here for the food, you might want to look elsewhere. read more

The seasoned potatoes were amazing. I put ketchup on them as a horrible habit, totally regretted it. Eggs, over easy. Bisquits were fluffy. I tasted the gravy once it hit the table. Then I added salt & pepper, didn't help. Sub par. My son got the same with hash browns. They gave him hash browns that barely hit the stove top. I asked for Cooked hash browns and they came super oily/buttery. Didn't eat them either. All in all what you see is what we left. Decided to hold our book club at a brunch spot this month and settled on The Cracked Egg. We came around 11:45 on a Sunday and were seated in a booth within 15 minutes. I was expecting a longer wait, so this was a pleasant surprise. One of my friends ordered the french toast of the day, which was supposed to be raspberry cheesecake, but she received some other kind that had peanut butter. She decided not to send it back and just picked at it then took most of it home. I got the Mexican skillet (around $24 after 20% tip) and my other friend got the southwest scramble. Both were very tasty. However, our waters were not filled once during our meal, which was unfortunate since the server was friendly. We were also bummed that they didn't have any specialty coffee drinks. I think I'd come back here, but I also am not dying to return. read more

Sunday morning breakfast with a friend- my first time going to this location. It was an alright experience but I wont rush to return. Staff was very nice. Atmosphere is so so but did have nice lighting bc of the big windows. The booth seating is really uncomfortable- table to seat ration is off by a lot, I felt like I had to reach up and forward way too much. The backs of the booth seating are super stiff and pushed me forward, weird seating. I asked the waiter if other people have expressed concerns about it and he said all the time. I'm surprised they haven't changed out the booths. Food was okay- Didn't really come out hot. French toast was so so, nothing special. Potatoes were cold. Coffee was coffee, at least they had flavored creamer. No real complaints but wasn't something to rave about. read more

I have patronized this establishment for 6 years. The food has always been good and the service above par. My previous reviews were glowing. I'm sorry to say that although the staff and quality of food have remained about the same, the prices are astronomical for the type of food. I get it, prices for eggs went up but they have come down in recent months. I understand labor costs have risen because of inflation but when you have breakfast for 2 and the bill including tip is $65 dollars you have to wonder if they are starting to gouge. I can have a nice dinner out for that price in a nice restaurant on the strip and they have raised prices. Paying California prices in Nevada is not the reason I moved here. We don't make Silicon Valley wages!!!! I won't be back, I can make the same breakfast at home for 10-12 bucks. read more

I ate the fruit and told them to bill me anyway, but since4 I was hungry, I ordered two eggs over easy, sausage links. potato hash and toast. I sausage links were burned, the two eggs barely done with the whites still runny and the potatoes barely cooked. Only the toast was fine. I told the restaurant they should fire the cook. Immaculate restaurant, organized-looking tables and booths, pleasant hostesses, clever plaques with adorable sayings on them, and soft lightening, all creating a comfortable atmosphere. He had great communication between his customers and the kitchen, and I could tell from the beginning that he took great pride in attention-to-detail. I have a weakness for coffee cake, so, of course I chose that to go with my veggie skillet. You have the option to choose coffee cake or toast with most entrees. And their coffee cake did not disappoint - my favorite to date! I would recommend to not leave before trying it. I would also recommend choosing the french fries when getting The Club, or any entree that comes with them - the seasoning is so flavorful - goes right in my top five french fry favorites of all time. My veggie skillet was delicious, and the portions of the food were more than enough. Everyone at my table brought leftovers home, which means I get a night off from cooking - added bonus! After waiting for 30 minutes, I finally got sat at the bar. This is what I ordered for $20. Hashbrowns are really not that hard to make serving shredded potatoes covered in oil is unacceptable. When I asked the server if I can, please have cooked hashbrowns him and the staff started talking crap to me in Spanish. Little do they know I speak fluent Spanish. Menu is extensive and so hard to pick, but I ordered the Chile Verde Rancheros - open-faced corn tortilla with Black Beans, Seasoned Pork and Two Eggs any style. Topped with Chile Verde Salsa. Ordered mine without the dairy and subbed with avocado . Had my meal w/ a side of hash browns. My husband ordered a scramble and ordered his with seasoned Potatoes and their Coffee Cake. I learned that there are about 20 or so flavors and they rotate. Blueberry CC was made with fresh blueberries and it was light, fluffy, and moist! The sausage patty was really good. The first time we went the waitress asked if we wanted the link or the patty and we tried the patty. the second time we went we just asked for the sausage and we got the links sadly we had to return. they were really nice about it. we felt bad about that, but the patty was really good.
