This is for an iced latte and pimento. Iced latte- perfect, a strong taste of coffee followed by a smooth creaminess of the milk. Pimento- this is the $6 take out version. This is without a doubt the best pimento I've ever had. And I've had at least 25 total from stores and restaurants. For $6 it's actually well priced for the amount compared to the better supermarket pimento. It is has a perfect kick and the right amount of pimento peppers. The special ingredient is chives which besides giving it a complex taste, also adds the nice visual addition of the color green. On a side note, the previous #1 pimento (now #2) is the lady at the sea island farmers market on Johns island on Saturday's. She sells out of it by 11am. She doesn't have a yelp so I'll use this space to promote her business. It has a great spiciness and perfect mouthfeel/consistency. Also she sells it in two sizes large and small and the large is for sure the way to go. So go get both and decide for yourself! read more

The coffees were great, while lunch was not. They ran out of the Duke's Blt. So I got the summer hash, and it was very spicy, which was not indicated on the menu. I had a side of market greens, and they were so bland, while the red cabbage was bitter. Since I already had coffee, I didn't want to order a smoothie or anything else since the rest of the menu didn't sound great. So after my boyfriend finished my food and his, we went to another eatery before heading to Kiawah Island. read more

Listen listen listen. This place is literally EVERYTHING. MUSIC AND VIBES: banging. FOOD: to quite literally die for. I would eat the brekky sammy everyday and the WHIPPED FETA TOAST GOOD GOOGLY MOOGLY. Coconut almond coffee syrup was delish. The staff was also a bunch of cutie pie sweet pies. This is a great spot to eat a breakfast that doesn't leave you filled with regret. You can have a healthy meal with nice people and when the weather is right, on a breezy patio. The chocolate chip cookie my husband got (I know I said healthy) to tide us over while our food was being cooked was the best I've had outside of homemade. My only criticism is the "soft cooked scrambled eggs" were tough and browned. Not inedible but definitely not slowly cooked. read more

Not sure what the hype was about.. the only thing saving them from 1 star is the whipped feta toast on sourdough. Got 2 matcha lattes WITH vanilla one with almond milk and one with whole milk and both had no taste it was really disappointing. The Israeli upside coffee is interesting not great. The service was not good and i was excited to order and try this fun spot with a friend while I'm in town and the person taking our order was just lame and not making suggestions, not asking what we like or normally order. I was willing to spend $50 on just trying some of their items but i wish i didn't support this business. I have absolutely no reason to ever come back here read more

Nice cafe, however, they DO NOT offer free WiFi so if you're planning to do some remote work or study here you might rethink that plan. I did try their blood orange tea (half sweet) and it's delicious! Such a great lil brunch spot!!! Seriously enjoyed the golden beet smoothie and iced chai latte to drink! For food we loved the breakfast burrito (add bacon) and the pita breakfast wrap. Both were delicious and decent sized- and were great with their house hot sauce. Warning - it gets busy on the weekend! Be prepared to wait in line and fight for a table! read more

This was the first coffee shop I tried in Charleston and now I'm sad I don't live five minutes down the road from it. The inside is cute and cozy, with a few tables and seats at the window, while their patio is a good size with plenty of seating but it does fill up weekend mornings. The baristas and cashiers were all super friendly and helpful. I had the chai which was good but a little sweet, my partner had an iced latte that they really enjoyed. Their food is next level though. The lemon ricotta on the salmon toast was exceptionally bright and well balanced with the perfect level of lemon to cut the smoky and fattiness of the salmon. Over all it's a great spot for a weekend coffee and bite before walking around king street and the surrounding areas downtown. read more

The service was awesome here, you order at the front counter and the waitress/waiter brings the food to you. Very quick. I'm not a coffee drinker but my wife said the coffee was great. I wanted to order everything that's photographed on their Yelp page but forced myself to choose just one menu item. I went with the "Keto Cauliflower Bowl" ($10) even though I am not keto. Everything in the description sang to me. When the order showed up, I didn't want to eat it - it was too pretty! Luckily, I overcame that desire and jumped in and lawdy, lawdy. I ate up that entire bowl. The cauliflower "rice" doesn't taste like cauliflower but is a good complement to the other flavors in the bowl. Worthwhile breakfast stop in Charleston. Have been here twice and enjoyed it both times. It can get quite busy but if you can come early or on a weekday, you will enjoy it. They have a variety of breakfast options from bowls to sandwiches, toasts and pastries. Coffee and the coffee drinks were good but wouldn't say great. Pastry wise we had a chocolate croissant and the vegan strawberry muffin. Croissant was quickly devoured by our kiddo and the vegan strawberry muffin was actually the star of the breakfast. Wouldn't usually lean vegan but was still delightful and flavorful. The breakfast burrito was good. A bit on the small side and the home fries (chopped potatoes) were a bit overwhelming given the size. Outside of that though eggs were well cooked and the flavor was nice. Ava avocado toast was a decent size and the bread was crispy and hearty. The avocado and seasoning had nice flavor. Only potential down side on this one was the oil on top was a bit overdone. Last thing we had was the breakfast sandwich. The ingredients were all great. Eggs were really well cooked, bacon + jam was delicious and the pimento cheese on top was a nice add. The thing that was only ok about this one was the bread. It was a bit like a hamburger bun and think it would have benefited from a heartier bread (biscuit or toast). read more

5 Stars for a beautiful spot for a quick breakfast and some lovely juices and smoothies! The interior of this space is light and airy and beautifully designed. There's not a ton of seating, but also some seating outside. It's situated by some cool businesses, so you could make a half-day of it! I ordered the Berry Bananza smoothie, garden party juice, and a plate of scrambled eggs (which was the most boring side I could order, but I was looking for something simple and light). The other options sounded AMAZING. The juice was full of green goodness and was not too sweet or acidic (a big plus). The berry bananza was filling and thick, in the best way possible. It was on the sweet side, but not overly done. And finally, the eggs were perfectly scrambled with some diced scallions sprinkled on top. Overall, solid spot for breakfast! WOW! The Daily is a hidden gem of Charleston and King Street. Their food is absolutely delicious, the service is awesome, and the atmosphere is amazing. I love the feel of the place. I ordered the breakfast burrito which was so filling and absolutely delicious. The pickled onions were to die for and I wish I could have those every day. I also loved the bottled cokes they had! So cute and me and my friend kept it for the vintage feel. It's so nice to have vegan options at this restaurant. This would have been five stars if it wasn't for the person who toke our order at the counter. She wasn't at all helpful when I asked her a few questions about the menu, just acted inpatient with me. Not a great beginning. Stopped in for a quick breakfast the other day. Small parking lot where I found a spot. Great outdoor area with shade. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on brioche bun. I highly recommend this sandwich. It wasn't huge but had some great flavors. The egg was cooked perfectly for me. I love when it's a little runny. And that jam, delicious! The bun was perfectly soft and easy to bite into. If I could change one thing it would be for the bun to be slightly crunchy as it has the consistency of being heated in a microwave. read more

Fun spot for a morning coffee and quick breakfast. My boyfriend and I went in the morning on a weekday so we didn't have to deal with the crazy long wait that I've heard is typical during the weekends. I'll start with the one con - for being one of only a few customers in the cafe, they forgot to serve us one of our coffees and a bakery item that we ordered. I had to go back to the counter and ask for them. It wasn't the biggest deal, but I can only imagine how complicated it gets during peak times. Now for the pros: I can imagine how parking can get crowded during the weekends but the fact that there was a small parking lot was a big plus for me as I'm not a fan of street parking. Since we came on a weekday, parking was a breeze. The price point is honestly not as high as I've seen in other cafes downtown, so I was pleased by that. The drinks = a work of art! The food = delicious! We ordered a pistachio rose bun to share and it was so good, I probably could've had an entire one myself. I ordered the soft scrambled toast for breakfast. The dish was simple, but I found each part of it to be amazing. The sourdough was perfectly baked and the eggs were fluffy. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast burrito and he loved it! It was loaded with protein and was nice and stuffed. His only complaint was that there wasn't more of it! read more

Whipped Feta Toast was insanely good. I've never had anything like it before, I'm inspired to make this for breakfast at home! The chai tea latte was alright, I just need to learn to not ask for cinnamon on top bc I think it ruins it even though a lot of places do that. We got our food in like a matter of a minute after we had sat down it was so quick! a small venue that offers coffees, "make your own" minosas (purchase the bubbly on site and the juice, they provide glasses), and then order at the counter. Seating is limited but the food was great! Small market also. We enjoyed it for brunch and had items that included the breakfast burrito (could be gluten free with corn tortilla - very tasty) and a half avocado with olive oil and zaatar sprinkle. Nice little neighborhood coffee and breakfast sandwich cafe. We stopped in for a light breakfast and ate on the patio. I thought their coffee was fine, it was not sweetened at all, so may want to check when ordering. Their "toasts" are standouts. Our group had the feta, avocado, and smoked salmon. Everything we had (from cookies to breakfast burritos and sandwiches to mimosas and coffee) was excellent. The food tasted so fresh, the baked goods were delicious, I loved that they had dairy free options for the coffees and gluten free options for the breakfast burrito as well. It's a small space so I would probably get food and coffee to go next time, but there are a few tables outside as well for when it warms up! read more

I have been a fan of the Daily since it's inception. It has gourmet coffee, love the chai latte and lavender chai. Also house made baked goods and innovative takes on classic dishes. This morning we had a breakfast sammie with bacon, egg, pickled onions, pimento cheese and a side of bacon (no judgement!) my friend had a sweet potato and greens hash with a sunny side egg. The food was delicious but the 40 dollar bill was a bit steep. Not really sure about gratuity in the times of Covid. I tipped 20 percent. Wonder what other folks are doing when it isn't full service. I got the St. Philip pita, which was incredible and almost tasted like a halal cart chicken sandwich in the best way. It was so filling and so good. It came with a really tasty side salad. My fiance got the BLT which was just as great. I can see this being a really ideal space to bring my laptop and get some work done if I lived in the area. While we were there, lots of people were ordering the shrimp toast and other food items from the café menu, all of which looked really good. One of the oldest in Charleston and super cute from the outside in. I also love that they named the place after their loyal pupper dog. For my taste, Poogan's makes one of the best shrimp and grits I've ever had. They also have phenomenal she crab soup, pimento cheese fritters with bacon jam, and collards. My friends got the fried chicken which I hadn't had before and the fry was literally perfect. Not too thick but a major crunch. We will continue to bring our friends and family here when showing them downtown.

The staff at The Daily was very welcoming, helpful and knowledgable. You can request house-made almond milk for iced lattes and it was the best latte I've ever had. They have a nice curation of local and non-local culinary goodies and a lot of good gift options/stocking stuffers. The seasonal espresso tonic with grapefruit was a real treat and my smoked amberjack toast was incredible. Highly recommended as a home base and refresh zone for anyone traveling through. read more

I recently moved here from SF and this place looks similar to a couple of my favorite breakfast and coffee spots there. The menu looked amazing in general... I got the sausage biscuit sandwich and it was very tasty. It is in kind of far up King Street, but I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. The staff was racist to a dear friend of mine. She is Korean American and was having brunch with a large group of majority white women, and when the food was brought out, hers was in a to-go container. Everyone else's was on a plate.
