I used to love eating here. The food was fresh and the staff were so friendly. More recently, not so much. We went there this summer and waited OVER an hour for our food. Once we got it, it was not what we ordered. They did never brought me my toast. I asked three times for it and it never came. When the server brought the check, I mentioned that I never got my toast. Her response was that it was a part of the cost of my breakfast so she couldn't remove any charges for not getting my food. On another visit, we took family from out of town and treated them to their breakfast. The cost was about $90. When I paid, I realized that I hadn't given the hostess my frequent buyer card that provides $10 off for every $100 spent. She said it was too late to add it and wouldn't give me the credit for the meal. No food is worth being treated like a low life. I will never go there again. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff, and loved being able to put her name on the waitlist using Yelp. We're from out of town and wanted a great breakfast location, and was very happy to find this. I had the crepes with strawberries and cream cheese filling, which was very good. The Crepe was slightly tough, and was cool by the time it arrived at our table but the flavor was excellent. This place blows the competition out of the water! If there is a wait on a busy Sunday morning, they are fast to seat you. After you are seated, they have the staff to greet you and feed you in an overly fair and timely manner. To top that off, the food is unbeatable, they have one of the best skillets on the market. Unable to eat the powdered eggs and carb overload at my hotel, I gladly grabbed a couple of breakfasts and lunches to go from DE. Everything I had was fresh as could be and bursting with flavoring. DE has the best honey Dijon mustard dressing I think I've ever had. The stuffed French toast was a bit of a sugar overdose so I got a breakfast and brunch portion from it in one day and it was just as good cold as it was hot and gooey. This place was a nice change from my usual breakfast spots. At 10:15am on a Saturday we only had a 10 minute wait. We got the hazelnut coffee which was way better than the coffee at my usual breakfast spots. I wouldn't get it again though. I am spoiled with my Keurig. He got the stacked ranchero breakfast with a side of green chili, hash browns, and a white English muffin. He really liked it but he said that he would want more green chili next time. He likes things really smothered. He likes the hash browns but he said next time that he wants to try the potatoes. He said he would also get it with over easy eggs instead of scrambled. I had two over easy eggs with a side of fruit, bacon, sausage links, and ham. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The side of fruit had fresh bananas, strawberries, grapes, and honeydew. All of it was perfectly ripe. I usually don't eat the fruit but it was too good to pass up. The sausage was the best. It was split down the middle and seared nicely. The ham was also good and the bacon was crispy. I will be coming back. read more

I went to the Delectable Egg for the first time because our favorite restaurant in Broomfield has changed ownership and is now a terrible place to eat. The menu was excellent and the food was really good. I liked being able to substitute fruit for potatoes with my breakfast. Service was excellent also. We will go there again. read more

It's really hard to make a good breakfast place. The Delectable Egg is just ok. I feel it's overprices for what you get and the quality is not much better than a Perkin's or Denny's. If I'm in a pinch, I'll go back. Certainly won't wake up with a craving for it though. read more

It's a good breakfast place! I got the orange county omlette (can we say avocado) and I got it made with just egg whites. If you're from southern California and have been to Broken Yolk, it's comparable.... not the same, but comparable. The menu selection and the size of the dishes... huge! I had my first visit today. The staff was kind and quoted us 15 minutes for a table. It only took about 10 or less to get a table. We sat down at a table with a highchair for my daughter and water already on the table. The server was very nice and service was quick. The food could have been a little warmer as my hollandaise had a bit of film on the top. My California Benedict was yummy and the baby loved her eggs. We will be back for brunch again. read more

This place is always busy which is a good sign and we've gotten take out there now twice. Both times the food was ready quickly despite them having a full, full house! The only reason for the 4 stars is for pricing. For what they're selling and the environment, they're a little over priced. We had a Dr Appointment in the area at noon, so hadn't eaten much for breakfast. When we exited the Dr office, I thought I would hit one of my favorite fish / Japanese places, however when we drove by the Delectable Egg, I couldn't stop thinking about breakfast. Had their Waffle, which is the lightest I've ever eaten. This along with poached eggs and bacon, was the best.
