On top of the super efficient ordering system, the dimsum quality and amount of variety on the menu is amazing. Prices also very reasonable! The Shiu Mai here is an explosion of flavor; they use pork, shrimp, and a little bit mushrooms, and it definitely is one of the best I've had in the dozens of dim sums I've had since I was a kid. We tried some in the car and ordered 3 more orders before we left lol Har gow also pretty good. Chewy skin with fresh shrimp inside. Also lovee the fish rice soup porridge. Just warms you from the inside out with that fresh white fish, ginger, onions, and portion size is large for the price. She let us know that one item we ordered would take 20 mins. FOOD 5/5 - Not greasy/oily like some other places. Food was really good and warm. They gave ample dipping and chili sauces. Prices were pretty good and cheaper than regular dim sum. Most dishes were $4-5 (tripe, xiu mai, ha cao, egg tarts, banh cuon) but xiao long bao was $9. This spot kept popping up on Instagram - especially the video of someone chopping the crispy pork belly (Yum!), so we had to give it a try. We just got a little assortment of items to try - price was right - we paid about $50 and that included tax and tip. The shu mai was really good - they were a lot bigger that the ones we usually get . The baos were good too - lots of filling - *we got both baked and steamed, and I think I liked the steamed better. I also got the won ton soup which was good. They served the broth on the side, which was nice. The noodles were all stuck together, but once you added them to the broth, they loosened up and it was all good. The pork belly was prepared well, it probably needed a little more seasoning - but it was real tender. We placed our order online, and scheduled a pickup time, which was convenient. My husband said they had a queue set up, so they must get pretty busy! The Dim Sum was splendid! It's affordable, quick, and is a local institution. The store is located to the side of My Thuan supermarket and there can be lines at times! There's a wide selection of Cantonese dishes such as dim sum, etc. everything was great! The food wasn't overly greasy and oily like the majority of Chinese restaurants - but this really did the job! Where do I start here? This place is a known neighborhood gem! First recommendation - get here early as there is almost always a line to order food. You first order your food, pay for it and the staff make it fresh. It might take some time with the crowds but it is worth the wait! TIP: Location- on the side of My Thuan Market. Can't get through if you enter in from the supermarket bc they blocked it from the inside. There's no seating btw on the inside so it's all to go or you can order via DoorDash. Line- is long and was end of the building when it opened but it was also Mother's Day that I went so that has a huge influence also. But it took 15 min to get it ordered and another 15-20 min to pick up. I really prefer this place than others. I've always gone to seafood cove 2 and the portions at dim sum co in regards to the size of the shu Mai and har gow beats seafood cove by a ballpark. AND the costs are the same. I've been going to My Thuan supermarket for years because they have cheap produce and a good selection of Asian necessities. I never knew this place was just outside to the side of the entrance! Found this place by chance when I was headed for an appt and knew I needed to eat something before going. I saw a line to the side and wondered what it was. It's a quick but fresh dim sum spot. My family and I have been ordering here for a few years now. Prices have gone up but so has everywhere else. The food is good for a to go place that's at a supermarket. They use whole shrimps in the shu mai and bits of mushrooms. I love that part. There is sometimes bits of fat though. It's not so blended like it is at other places but I'm ok with it. There's nothing exceptional about it but it's good. Our latest order was for Christmas morning. I placed the order 2 days in advanced so I didn't have to worry about it. They've been out of sate and sweet chili the last 5 times or so that we've ordered so that's a bit annoying. My husband tried the fried rice for the first time and it was beyond bland. He said it tasted like it was just tossed in onions and oil. He refried it and added more things to make it good. Fried items are hit or miss at times. This order was all over fried. I got a little confused because I knew before was Dim Sum To Go and now it's "The Dim Sum" Ended up getting 3 orders of Ha Gow, 3 orders of Xiu Mai, Solid 4.5/5 The Turnip Cake/Lo bak Go w/ Egg didn't actually have too much egg. I eventually reheated it at home and added my own egg to it. 3/5 Tofu wrap with the vegetables and the mushrooms was okay. Usually this is my favorite thing at most places but 3/5 I feel like the quality went down. It used to be a lot better but maybe change of ownership or something I'm not too sure. We drove from Riverside County since we don't really have good dim sum like OC. This is a take out and not a restaurant. It's located inside a supermarket. You order and pickup at the door. The items were pretty pricey. We spent almost $60. They charge for oil chili sauce which is ridiculous as most places give that to you. The food took about 10 minutes to be ready for pickup. The people working there was not very friendly or polite. I asked for soy sauce and he said he already put it in there. There were only 2 packets of soy sauce in there and we got a lot of food so I would have thought they would have given us at least two more packets. The kitchen is pretty small inside but they are cooking pretty quickly in there. Some of our food was cold and I didn't care for that. I wished they had some tables to sit and eat. We ended up eating in our car and it got pretty messy. The food lacked flavor and wasn't worth all the hype. We've definitely had better dim sum at other places around OC. We've been here twice in 3 months. It's Togo only, order online. Trust me this place is busy. I didn't know I could preorder online, so we order 70-80 bucks worth and we had to wait a little bit. The second time, I preordered all of it and it worked perfectly. We already had breakfast and we were bringing it to our friends house.
