This cute little restuarant is a 50's inspired diner with good deals and good food. We stopped in and got the all day breakfast and a burger. Truth be told, the burger was dry. Also, when ordering a Cajun burger you expect it to be a little spicy. But this was nothing- we couldn't taste the Cajun at all! It looked like they just dumped seasoning on the burger after it was made too, they didn't put it in the meat. But the sausage and gravy biscuits were great. Really enjoyed them. I also got a coffee, it tastes like every diner coffee, nothing special but very much typical. The service was great and they were all friendly. The place was pretty clean and they had lots of seating options.

The ambiance here is amazing old time diner style. The service is friendly and their staff is helpful and hospitable. We got both the bacon and sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. The food was solid not the best I've had and the portions were small. Overall the experience in here makes it worth a visit.

Great food!! Great service, Amanda Zachary was superb! Good old fashioned cheeseburger made just right. And don't forget the delicious hot fudge sundae. The inside was just like a diner very pleasant.

Average diner. Not bad but not stellar. Mixed feelings about the food within our party: Wins- Mashed potatoes, broccoli, banana pudding, and fried okra. Average- BLT, Open faced turkey sandwich, and catfish. Passes- cheesecake and hush puppies. The staff was super pleasant and attentive to food allergies within our party. The themed decor is well done and has a great throwback feel! The cleanliness and physical building could be slightly improved upon- chipping paint at booth and bathroom could be freshened up. It was well stocked with soap & towels. The experience was ok. If we return to the local area, we can say we tried it, but we won't include it in future itineraries.

Kind of kitschy 50's vibe, lots of vinyl and chrome with Jukebox playing but was very clean and decent sized place. Friendly staff and very quick service. Basic burger was very good, nice char but not over cooked, large serving of crinkle fries came out hot. Chop steak was little over for my taste, light on gravy and mushrooms, too heavy on onions but hot and tasted good. The steamed sweet roll was outstanding! Coffee shake was also very good and big serving size. Two meals with sides and shakes about $50, little high for us but we left feeling good.

Has been one of my favorites through the years when visiting the area but was really disappointed today. Portions are probably a reflection of the economy but when advertising a 1/3 pound burger it ought to be bigger than a McDonald's burger, especially when it is lean elk. Burger was well seasoned but just undersized and slightly over cooked (more medium well than medium). With Up charge of $1 to do fried green tomatoes as the side should be more than 3 small slices.

I was having a rough day & chose Sunliner to try & make me feel better. Upon walking in I saw two full size car booths & a jukebox. The vibe was exactly what I was looking for. I'm happy to say we got HUNNY as our server & she was the best & she cheered me right up. She was wearing a bright yellow dress & singing along with the jukebox. We talked doo-wop songs & I got recommendations for what to order. I decided on Country Fried Chicken with Mashed Potatos & it did not disappoint. The shakes are also really good & come with a waffle on top. We ended up going back the next day (HUNNY was off) but we still had a nice time. Tried the chicken & waffles & biscuits & gravy this time. There really wasn't anything bad that we tried & if you're lucky, you might get HUNNY & have a 5 Star Experience like we did. Would I return for a third time? YES!

Such a cute atmosphere and great vibe + good food. I did not expect to be able to get a cocktail and I had a delicious Cosmo! Super friendly, attentive staff on a very busy and rainy Friday night. We were also sat extremely fast despite practically every table being full. Between the hosts, waitress and food runners we were set! If you can save room for dessert do it for me because I didn't and I regret it! Guess I'll have to come back!

For once in Pigeon Forge, I have ate something that actually tasted distinguishable. If you blind-folded me and had me take a bite out of different burgers from different burger joints, I could guess this one with no hesitation. However, one notable throw-off i had was that the burger had a weird aftertaste of tuna. I ordered the smash burger and it had the perfect amount of grease that doesn't drench you, but keeps up with freshness and taste. And the reason I wanted to write this review was for the french fries. Tired of soggy fries? This place puts the FRY in french fries. They maintained a delicious level of crunch and crisp (if that's your gusto) and didn't have that same refrigerator taste. I also ordered cheese curds and they had the most amazing cheese pull and tasted great! The service was excellent too, unlike some servers, they don't abandon you and they keep up with you and refills / clearing the table. If there's anything I appreciate more, it's waiters and waitresses that (even if they don't) act like they cherish their job! And if you yearn for a setting that makes you in the mood for adventure.. or a bear lover.. this place has attracting visuals so you aren't trapped in a minimalist setting. Overall, if you're up for trying new flavors and advancing your taste buds' vocabulary, I recommend The Fat Bear Family Tavern!

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster. It was 12:00 & dining room was mostly empty. The Benedict sauce tasted like melted margarine & was pretty thick too. One of my eggs was totally boiled, meaning no runny yellow. The other egg was just barely runny. The Canadian Bacon was NOT real. It was some sort of sliced & spiced luncheon meat that tasted horrible. I asked the waitress for some butter for my grits, and she said "more butter?", as if it was fine the way it came, and what is wrong with me:-( The shrimp on the Po Boy was NOT Blackened. No spices what-so-ever. The french fries that came with it, were the best part of that meal:-( Our waitress, Becca M, avoided eye contact with us the entire time we ate, and remember, the place was over half empty. Once we were finished eating, she came over, after waiving her down, and asked how our meal was. We reported to her the unsatisfactory meal but we ate it because we were on a quick break from work & needed to hurry. We did not have time for a 2nd breakfast to be cooked. She picked up the bill & asked us to wait a minute. She returned after a while & told us she removed the charges for the two iced teas! So, we paid $35. for two people to have a crummy meal while on a quick break from work. FINALLY - we are so sick of those horrible metal chairs in the dining room. They hurt most people's outer legs/hips & do not encourage a customer to relax & be comfortable. In the past, the food was so good, we would just over look the chairs, but after today's horrible food & the lack of anyone caring about our visit, we won't be using our hard earned money to eat crummy food & be uncomfortable. FYI: after removal of our iced tea, our meal was $29.90, we did include a $5.00 tip.
