I would not return to this restaurant. My mom had the grilled cheese: one piece of cheese between two dark brown grilled slices of bread. Lukewarm french fries. I had the vegetable selection. Good mac & cheese. Two lukewarm pieces of cauliflower & broccoli. Tasteless coleslaw and tomato slices. Cherry pie was terrible. Blah, under baked crust with cold, tasteless filling. Friendly server. Great breakfast! Ordered Mamaw's Favorite - 2 scrambled eggs, 2 strips of crispy bacon, plenty of hash browns, 2 hot biscuits, and a bowl of gravy for the biscuits were served on a platter! Lots of food cooked perfectly. The service was excellent - friendly and helpful. I ordered hot tea with my breakfast and received a cup of hot water, a small pot of water for a refill, and two tea bags. No waiting around for a second cup like most places. The other two people in my party were equally pleased with their meal. To sum it up, The Diner serves lots of food, nicely cooked and served at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend. The elderly woman Suzette that was seating tables is one of the most miserable people I've encountered at any restaurant. She was nasty when we asked her what the quoted wait time was. When she sat us we asked her for a high chair and she said ok and proceeded to seat more tables for almost ten minutes while we held our daughter. I went to ask her again and she said she was getting around to it. The server was at the table at this point asking us if we needed a highchair and we said yes. Suzette came over and said to the server "if they ask for a high chair one more time": excuse me? If you are seating a table.. fully seat the table. A few minutes later she came around the corner in a nasty manner and slammed her leg on something and was limping around. Karma. Don't be rude to guests. The server told us people had been mean to her all day. I don't want to hear that and you certainly don't be rude to any guests because others were rude. That wasn't our fault. Don't make me hold my daughter standing for ten minutes. The food was terrible. The place was dusty. The Mirrors were filthy in the booth. I had one fried pickle and it was 1/4 the size of a normal pickle and they charge you almost $2 for that. I regret not taking a photo. I had a patty melt which absolutely tasted like nothing. No seasoning what so ever and the onions were raw. My fiancé had a southwest breakfast wrap and they sent the wrong one. The cheese was not melted. Onions raw again. The food also took a very long time. Just don't go here. When we paid suzette didn't say two words to us. She ripped the paper off the receipt in a nasty manner and just took our money. No thank you or even a smile. They are hiring and I'm sure if anyone works with suzette for a day they'd certainly quit. read more

The Spicy Cajun Burger was amazing!! And to top it off the chocolate covered strawberry malt was made from scratch and it was so delicious. I had my dad and one of his friends. We happened upon this place on accident. We were looking for a pancake restaurant that didn't have a line wrapped around the restaurant, which is very hard to find this time of year. We were driving and took a chance. So glad we did. We ended up eating at the Diner twice while we were here. The atmosphere is 50's and the music is great. Brought back so many wonderful memories. The menu is huge and the food was good. We loved our waitress. She was so sweet and attentive. The only complaint I would give is the wait for the food was kinda long, but in their defense they were short a cook and dishwasher. If I ever go back to Pigeon Forge on vacation I would definitely go back to the Diner. It was great!! read more

We've eaten at lots of diners but we will be avoiding this place in the future. We spent $40.00 for 4 people. Not my worst dining experience, but not the best. I was thrilled to find this little treasure, very clean, and cute decor. I was also surprised by the extensive menu. I had the chicken tenders (4) small pieces, mashed potatoes (instant :( ), green beans (just ok), rolls (dry). My husband had the catfish filet, he said it was good but it didn't look cooked enough to me, breading was mushy. He also had baked beans that tasted to me like warmed pork and beans and mac and cheese that was a lot like kraft out of the box. I'm sad to say that I was not nearly as thrilled after I ate as I was before. The waitress was friendly but not overly, it was late in the evening so I'm sure she was tired. The Diner in Sevierville, TN has the feel of a 1930's diner. Complete with black and white tile on the floor and lots of neon all around inside and outside. The menu has some excellent choices as well as excellent prices. I ordered liver and onions along with turnip greens and beans and the meal was excellant country home cooking. My spouse ordered grilled chicken which was likewise delicious. The prices were excellent as the meal was less than $8. The place is really a nice treat from all the fast food places of today. The inside it all chrome, red vinyl and neon. Great old place to visit.After I posted our location on Facebook, we got numerous message. Most were asking how we found so many neat places to stop for food. We love traveling the back roads and this location while not exactly on the backroads is certainly not in the large tourist area found just a short distance down the highway.Wish we had this sitting in Dallas, Texas.Also loved the old car sitting at the entrance. read more

I picked up an order to go and was pleasantly surprised with the bacon burger. My girlfriend had the chili cheese fries with bacon and ask for jalapenos on top. What a great pair for a nice hot snack. I also had the bread pudding with the rum sauce. The diner is a neat little establishment and I wish I would have eaten inside verses taking my food across the street to the Hampton. I will definitely visit them again there. We had debated going into The Diner many times in the past. We finally decided to stop in and I'm glad we did. Everything was wonderful! We each got a different entree and everything we got was very good. We talked to the owner and she was incredibly nice and seemed genuinely happy that we had stopped by. Well... where do I start? Our waitress was old and hated the world. She got both of our orders wrong and was apparently super busy. The food, hubs had a bacon cheeseburger that someone forgot to put the bacon on. I had hotwings with the wrong sauce that were still bloody on the inside. The meat was rubbery and undercooked on the wings. I opened them all up with my fork and every one of them were pink inside. I can't remember the last time i sent food back (I hate to be that person) but I sent these back. Hubs was done and we asked for our check. We were about to leave when I finally got my order of wings. So I asked for a To go box for it and THEN the waitress decides to be nice. Whatever, too late. I haven't tried the wings yet, they are in my fridge. All that for a price of $37??? And the cashier asked if I wanted to leave a tip? Um no. Don't get me started. She went unfazed.
