This cute little restuarant is a 50's inspired diner with good deals and good food. We stopped in and got the all day breakfast and a burger. Truth be told, the burger was dry. Also, when ordering a Cajun burger you expect it to be a little spicy. But this was nothing- we couldn't taste the Cajun at all! It looked like they just dumped seasoning on the burger after it was made too, they didn't put it in the meat. But the sausage and gravy biscuits were great. Really enjoyed them. I also got a coffee, it tastes like every diner coffee, nothing special but very much typical. The service was great and they were all friendly. The place was pretty clean and they had lots of seating options.

The ambiance here is amazing old time diner style. The service is friendly and their staff is helpful and hospitable. We got both the bacon and sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches. The food was solid not the best I've had and the portions were small. Overall the experience in here makes it worth a visit.

Great food!! Great service, Amanda Zachary was superb! Good old fashioned cheeseburger made just right. And don't forget the delicious hot fudge sundae. The inside was just like a diner very pleasant.

Average diner. Not bad but not stellar. Mixed feelings about the food within our party: Wins- Mashed potatoes, broccoli, banana pudding, and fried okra. Average- BLT, Open faced turkey sandwich, and catfish. Passes- cheesecake and hush puppies. The staff was super pleasant and attentive to food allergies within our party. The themed decor is well done and has a great throwback feel! The cleanliness and physical building could be slightly improved upon- chipping paint at booth and bathroom could be freshened up. It was well stocked with soap & towels. The experience was ok. If we return to the local area, we can say we tried it, but we won't include it in future itineraries.

Kind of kitschy 50's vibe, lots of vinyl and chrome with Jukebox playing but was very clean and decent sized place. Friendly staff and very quick service. Basic burger was very good, nice char but not over cooked, large serving of crinkle fries came out hot. Chop steak was little over for my taste, light on gravy and mushrooms, too heavy on onions but hot and tasted good. The steamed sweet roll was outstanding! Coffee shake was also very good and big serving size. Two meals with sides and shakes about $50, little high for us but we left feeling good.

Has been one of my favorites through the years when visiting the area but was really disappointed today. Portions are probably a reflection of the economy but when advertising a 1/3 pound burger it ought to be bigger than a McDonald's burger, especially when it is lean elk. Burger was well seasoned but just undersized and slightly over cooked (more medium well than medium). With Up charge of $1 to do fried green tomatoes as the side should be more than 3 small slices.

Our server--I believe his name was Joe--was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Food arrived VERY quickly. We had multiple people check on us throughout our dinner, all very polite. We ordered the fried chicken skins, buffalo frog legs, and bone marrow as appetizers. The chicken skins were HUGE and deliciously crunchy. The buffalo frog legs were very tender. The bone marrow paired very nicely with the bread it's served with. All were very tasty. For the main dishes, we got the 48 oz Tomahawk ribeye (topped with bone marrow butter and a side of fries), as well as the wood grilled lamb. We asked that the tomahawk be rare, specifying charred on the outside and still mooing on the inside, and they absolutely nailed it. The outside, especially the fat, was seared beautifully--it was absolutely delicious. The fries were very fresh and flavorful as well. We'd never had lamb before, so we asked our server to have them cook it the way he suggested. It was cooked phenomenally, and the flavors with the blackberry reduction were amazing. The goat cheese grits weren't overpowering, they were the best cheese grits I've had. The cornbread went very well with the steak. For dessert, we got the blackberry and blueberry cobbler, and the goat cheese cheesecake. They were both mouthwateringly delicious. I'm still thinking about that cobbler... Overall, there was not a single thing to complain about during our visit--besides it having to come to an end, lol. The food was absolutely phenomenal, and we'd never had a dining experience quite like this one. I absolutely recommend The Appalachian, it's well worth the money.

Gordon Ramsey would consider it a threat. As a chewy bacon lover and enthusiast, when my bacon came out charred and demented, i was appalled to say the least. I had to drench it in the white gravy so it would give my stomach the illusion of chewy. Even then, even with the request of chewy, i was let down. The home fries were exceptional.. as exceptional as any other home fry you'll get on the Pigeon Forge strip. And why? They'll all the same refrigerated chips of processed mess. Soggy, not even crisp. So poor you'd hope the microwave would add additional flavors from all the other food they microwaved. I wouldn't even praise the food if paid me, it's sad enough i paid IT to taste like wet squeaky boots. But anyways the atmosphere was just bewildering! They have a big exhibit with birds you can watch. Sometimes they're loud and a bit squawk-y but it doesn't deplete the experience. This is my internal conflict with a certain drink on the menu. The Monster. This satanic abomination soup of a beverage really tempted me. I drink energy drinks and was excited to try a Monster! I mean.. we're all a little adventurous deep down.. human nature! Wrong. Apparently.. With full fledged confidence.. as much as you'd expect at a busy bar playing BINGO.. I asked the waitress for a Monster energy drink. Big. Mistake. I get it.. I took an unsuspecting picture of the beast waiting.. opened it.. and took a sip. If you were to ask me, giving somebody a pedicure with your MOUTH would taste no different than a can of this monstrosity. Maybe I recommend the restaurant.. but I don't recommend the Monster. Don't be fooled by the big print image of the can on the menu. Restaurant - 6/10 Demon Soup In An Aluminum Can - 2/10

We were greeted and seated promptly in a lovely little alcove near their patio, the perfect spot for old friends catching up. Our server, Olivia, was phenomenal, offering insight and recommendations into their seasonal menu items. We started with cocktails and appetizers. We loved the Roasted Beet Salad and Crab Bisque. Deee-licious! We then moved on to our entrees: Filet mignon (prepared Medium) w/caramelized onions & garlic mashed potatoes. The filets were seasoned and cooked perfectly - melt in your mouth, oh soooo good! Prime rib steak sandwich with caramelized onions & melt cheese. Opted for a side of grilled zucchini instead of fries. Also a big hit with our friend. I chose the night's feature dish of halibut and couscous. Nicely prepared and delicious. Though we didn't have room for dessert, once Olivia brought the dessert tray by, we quickly made room! My husband chose the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Of course I had to taste! I'm typically am not a fan of bread puddings due to being heavy and somewhat gummy! This one was absolutely light, and yummy allowing the blueberries to shine. Our friends shared the NY cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Also, light, fluffy and delicious! I chose the key lime pie with toasted coconut sprinkled on top. Incredibly good with light tartness though I prefer more tart. Still, it ranks up there as one of the best I've found. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, food, ambiance, decor, and our server, Olivia. Ample portions, reasonable/comparable pricing, and delicious/creative menu. Bravo, Seasons 101! Bravo!! It has a real down home feel. The place offers burgers (Mushroom Swiss, BBQ Burger), sandwiches (Cheesesteaks, Reuben, BLT, Chicken Sandwiches with Ranch/Buffalo options), and hearty baskets with fried chicken, cod, or shrimp, plus breakfast served all day, desserts (chocolate pie!), and options like pork chops or steak. They have someone thing for everyone. Everything is cooked to ordered. We started off with deep fried deviled eggs. My wife had the Beef Stroganoff. While I had the House Smash Burger. The stroganoff is served in a wide, shallow bowl that showcases the sauce's glossy sheen and the generous scatter of sautéed mushrooms. Steam carries a rounded, savory bouquet: beef-forward notes, toasty browned butter, and the faint acid of a finishing touch -- likely a splash of vinegar, wine, or lemon -- that hints the sauce will be bright rather than cloying. The presentation is simple and effective: no unnecessary frills, just clear evidence that plate composition exists to showcase the food's strengths. The sauce is the star: a glossy, velvety emulsion built on a brown stock backbone, enriched with sour cream (or a light cultured cream), and tempered with mustard and a touch of acidity. The mushrooms are properly caramelized, offering an earthy counterpoint and slight chew that complements the tender beef. Onions are present but not intrusive; garlic and a whisper of thyme or parsley frame the dish without flattening the primary flavors. Chubby's pairs the stroganoff with broad egg noodles -- they're al dente-yielding and capture the sauce in their folds, which makes each mouthful a composed, layered bite rather than separate elements awkwardly forced together. The Smash Burger was an equal masterpiece as well. In an era when burgers can feel formulaic and predictable, the SMASH Triple Burger with Chubby Sauce at Chubby's Restaurant stands out not just as a meal, but as a culinary statement, mine was constructed of three thin-pressed beef patties -- each seared to achieve that iconic lace of caramelization -- deliver an intoxicating aroma of grilled beef that primes the palate for something special. The smash technique here isn't a gimmick; it's a masterstroke that intensifies the beef's flavor while maintaining juiciness through every layer, a testament to precise heat management on the griddle. The Chubby Sauce, a house specialty that earns its name with rich, tangy complexity, serves as the burger's soul. It marries creamy umami with a whisper of sweetness and a balanced acidity that cuts through the savory heft of the triple stack. This sauce is not merely a condiment -- it's the architectural glue that binds texture and taste, elevating each bite into a chorus of complementary notes. What makes this experience remarkable was how it balances bold indulgence with thoughtful restraint: the trio of patties makes a statement, yet the burger never feels overwhelmingly heavy. Each layer interacts harmoniously, and the Chubby Sauce is nothing short of inspired -- tangy yet creamy, bold yet nuanced. We topped it all off with pie. My wife had the peanut butter while I opted for the Apple pie was our desert. Dessert at Chubby's often arrives with the quiet confidence of a house specialty, and the both the Apple & Peanut Butter Pie is no exception. If you think you've had every version of apple pie, this one will surprise you. Chubby's Apple Pie is warm, comforting, and brilliantly balanced. The apples are tender and spiced just right, the crust is buttery and flaky. The peanut butter pie has a subtle, savory richness that keeps the dessert from being overly sweet. It's indulgent without being heavy and memorable in the best way. An absolute must-order if you save room for dessert. This was a great dining experience and in a tourist dominated area, this place stands out as real down home cooking that your grandmother made. Highly recommend, this is one the most stop sites if you are in the area.
