Well if you are looking for an inexpensive, fun time in Hollywood, and you like stand-up comedy, this might be your spot! Nice little intimate comedy stage where you can observe stand up comedy from a variety of talent. The "bar" is limited to beer (IPA and WC) and water, but you aren't here for the drinks. There's a front row of tables, two booths on the side and two rows of seating behind the tables. Not a bad seat in the place. And it was full on Friday night. The host was great, the energy was great! A very comfortable place to enjoy the show. Very casual. Typical East Hollywood neighborhood with all the people and parking fun, so be aware. Small drink selection, small venue, big laughs.

    Really good iced coffee!

So good! Great food! Great coffee! Great entertainment! I'm not vegan but I love their vegan food! Highly recommend the avocado bagel!

This burger made a beautiful photo, but the meat patties are unfortunately overcooked. The THICK, big burger is dry; however, the cheese and sauce helped. Still, the experience is very charming! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring Card. Also, the location has about eight interior tables, so there's a real possibility that you might not even find inside dine-in seating due to the crazy popularity. I arrived near opening time, and the line to the counter took about 45 minutes. The line didn't even shrink when I'd left.) I arrived at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) on Sunday (around 11:08AM). There was a very long line upon arrival. They had a security guard to monitor everyone, so I felt safe. Parking is difficult since it's Los Angeles. Street Parking was very hard to find, so I parked at the nearby Parking Structure (Sho Tokyo Garage - $15 Flat Rate on Sat or Sun). It's a short two minute walk to the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). Staff is professional and polite. Staff worked hard despite the HUGE line of customers. It took about 45 minutes to reach the counter. And my food was completed within 14 minutes. I was lucky enough to find an open table inside. As mentioned, I ordered the Franky Double Burger & Fries ($24.50). This burger is definitely a fun spectacle, but it was also a fairly dry & overcooked burger. It was presented lovingly on a bed of crisp, well-seasoned fries. At the very least, it's HUGE!! I had plenty of leftovers. However, if I ever revisit, I'd focus on the fresh popcorn chicken or refreshing drinks. I had brought my fanatical One Piece buddy on this trip, and my friend's food tasted way better than mine. On ambiance, the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles) is absolutely lovely if you're able to find an available table. The "windows" show the animated ocean's waves as if you're inside the One Piece boat. There's also screens showing the top pirates in a fun animated way. The location is very clean, and it felt whimsical like a themed cafe inside Disneyland or Universal Studios. The One Piece Music also plays as you wait outside in line and sit inside as you dine. If lucky enough, the experience is very special. Overall, I had a happy, cheerful experience at the One Piece Cafe (Los Angeles). There's many families, young ones, and anime enthusiasts happily adoring their One Piece Themed dining experience. If you're able to arrive early, I happily recommend. 4.5 out of 5

The decor is incredibly immersive, from the mushroom-shaped booths to the digital windows that show a thunderstorm happening outside every few minutes. You can also see mushroom toad people in chefs outfits cooking your food :) The menu has a massive variety with something for everyone. They have pasta, desserts, sandwiches, burgers....We tried the Mario Burger, the Luigi Chicken Sandwich, garlic knots, & fries. Unlike a lot of theme park food, everything was super flavorful, well-seasoned, and great quality for fast-casual dining~~ Plus, at around $20 per item, it's an absolute bargain compared to most places nowadays. The restaurant is clean, the service is helpful, and the atmosphere is wonderful. Highly recommend~~~

Unfortunately,…read morelike most of the other food that I've tried at Universal, the quality is pretty mid and standard all the way through. Definitely make a reservation to ensure that you can speedily go in and order, grab, a seat and get your food ready ASAP so that you can enjoy the rest of your time at the theme park. You can do this through the Universal Studios app and it's pretty straightforward. There's a grace period, as with most reservations, and unlike Disney, they don't charge your card if you're a no show (at least I don't think they do). My group went during Fan Fest nights and the reservation made a faster check in than what I think usually goes on (there was a line and the restaurant was packed, but we were able to get a seat and our food in decent timing). I let the staff know that I had a reservation, was promptly instructed to go to the cashier to order, worker was super patient and friendly, got in our order, was given a buzzer, then checked in with the front of house staff to be seated at a table, food came out first and then one of our drinks that took a bit longer. Pretty seamless and they're great at accommodating their guests and making sure things run smoothly. Hands down, breathtaking experience and amazing attention to decor the entire visit. There's Chef Toad cooking in the queue, the back drop area of the cashiers was cool, and the dining room area is incredibly impressive. Each wall has panel screens showing what's going on in Mushroom Kingdom from the Toads having fun and hanging out and when the big bad swoops in and causes havoc (which I think is synced to the other screens throughout since they don't show the same scene for each one). For our visit, we got the: 1) Super Star Lemon Squash: -This is a standard honey lemon soda with mango stars and tropical boba. 2) Yoshi's Blueberry Ube Smoothie: -This is a Fan Fest limited menu item and not really a flavor I'd go for but I figure I would since it's the most unique (though thinking of it, I really should have done apple melon, but somehow it didn't click). -Very cute, comes with whipped cream on top and some flavored drizzle, a sprig of mint and it's in a Yoshi cup. -Extremely BIZARRE taste. Not sure why but it tasted like coconut (probably the ube) banana with specifically grape Nerds. Maybe it's just my taste buds. It wasn't bad, and someone at our table said it was good (another said it was gross because it was too sweet), but it's not something I would like normally so I was powering through it. 4) Super Mushroom Soup -Comes with the classic toadstool red mushroom plastic bowl and lid. They even give you a power up block to store it in and the characters you meet also use it as a point of interaction. Very cute. -I like that the soup came in it's own little aluminum container so it doesn't sauce up and stain the bowl. Very nice! -Soup has some mushroom crackers on top, resembling the red toadstool mushroom. Very cute. Decent creamy mushroom soup. Not the biggest serving but hits the spot on a chilly night. 5) Bowser's Fireball Challenge: -Heard good things about this from someone who went to the Orlando park. You can also pay an extra $10 to keep the souvenir bowl. Since it was sauced up, we asked staff and we got a completely new one in a box and in a Super Nintendo World bag. Quality customer service and glad we didn't have to wash it out. -It's a huge meatball with mozzarella cheese and mushroom marinara sauce. Bowser puff pastry on top, brings together the look and adds a bit of carbs. Definitely mix in the hot sauce and marinara together. -Simple dish, but easy to eat and the sauce went great with the fries from the Mario burger another friend ordered. And since my boyfriend was dying from the long day and the longer night ahead, he got himself a hot coffee. Standard hot black coffee but it came in a cute cup. Not the finest dining out there, but the experience alone is worth it. This is what themed dining should be like. As a consistent Disney goer, I feel like Disney tries, but it still always feels like I'm still in a theme park (even in Galaxy's Edge), so it's either the IP or the actual attention to detail and stage set that truly blew me away here. I'd come back for sure.

Plus they have a store with lots of fun souvenirs (mugs, shirts, and even frames based after the iconic framed dorr peep hole). You can only access if you take one of the Warner Bros tours. It's definitely a tourist trap, but if you're a Friends fiend, this is the place for you. There's plenty of photo-ops - Joey and Chandler's apartment with the foosball table and BarcaLoungers, the Central Perk bar and couches, and Monica's kitchen. There's also a gift shop which had surprisingly reasonably priced items. The cafe itself has grab-and-go items as well as hot food items like pizza for sale. They have drinks named after the characters, but everything is pricey (tourist trap alert). I'm not a coffee drinker, but I had to partake in the "Central Perk" rite of passage, so I ordered the chocolate ice-blend drink (~$8 after tax), which is a pretty steep price for a drink that's essentially chocolate milk. For some reason, my order got lost in their system, so I was waiting and waiting for my name to be called. After approaching the counter and asking, they made it right away. They don't serve the drinks in the signature large coffee cups (but the cups are available at the gift shop), so I'd say you can skip the overpriced coffee and go straight for the photo ops (which are free/included in the price of admission).

At the time of visit, a gentleman had taken my order, and it was a rather plain and unwelcoming experience. I had my usual iced latte. When asked about receipts, I mentioned that it was okay but was keying in my information for the Rewards Program. After making the drink, he nonchalantly looked at the tablet and CANCELLED my information, then made eye contact with me - rude! What's the saving grace of this place? The espresso for sure. The iced latte is one that I'd rank fairly highly in my list of Ktown cafes. It's a fairly minimalist spot with Wi-Fi and comfortable decor. The benches are lightweight and will move if you're not too careful, barely on the narrower end, too. If you visit, may you never have to deal with the service by this gentleman with the earrings - utterly horrid.

In addition to their expertly-crafted pastries, Sweet Lily offers a great variety of French dishes and packaged food items. My group ordered the Sugar Beignet, Raspberry Croissant, and Coffee Croissant - which were all wonderful. The Raspberry Croissant had a not-too-sour fresh jelly filling and was definitely the crowd favorite, but the thick, latte-flavored filling in the Coffee Croissant made it a close second place. The fresh-squeezed orange juice at $5 felt like an absolute bargain, and the Cappuccino was also well-executed. The real stars of the show were the entrees, though. Both the Avocado Toast plate and Croque Monsieur truly tasted like a trip to France. They were hearty and full of flavor, without feeling too heavy. The Sweet Lily twist on Avocado Toast includes melted mozzarella and slices grapes, which really elevated the dish! The potatoes and salads that came as complimentary sides were a welcome surprise, and just as craveable as the entrees themselves. Near Barham and on the way to Hollywood. They have a few metered parking spots out front, but I went in and asked if they had their own parking and Mehdi told me they had a couple of spots in the alley behind the building, so that's where we parked. It's a cute place, not too fancy. They refer to it as a Boutique Pastry Shop. There are some snacks/knick knacks available for purchase, along with a refrigerator of drinks towards the back. The left side of the space is the coffee bar and the right side has the pastry cases and food menus. This is where we placed our order with Mehdi, who was pleasant, nice and knowledgeable about the menu and all the pastry items. I was talking to another employee, Gabriel, and asking him questions about the omelettes. He talked me through a few different options and he was also pleasant and kind. I decided on the Veggie Omelette (add mozzarella +$2, and side baguette +$1) with a Decaf Latte (+$0.75 for Oat Milk). My son ordered the Chicken Caprese Panini, which came with Pesto and Mozzarella Cheese. ($17). We also wanted to sample some pastries and we got 1 Nutella Beignet ($5.50), 1 Caribbean & 1 Red Carpet ($8 each), 1 Pear/Almond Tart and 1 Raspberry Tart ($6.50 each). Our total for everything including tip was $91.59, and I'm still kind of in shock over it! This place was SO EXPENSIVE!! Mehdi plated our pastries for us and Gabriel immediately got to work on the omelette and panini. We sat down at one of their many tables and got situated while we waited for the food. It was pretty empty as we were there around 3pm, an hour before they closed. There were two other tables being occupied while we were there. They had nice pop music playing, ranging from 90s-00s songs and artists. There were some nice twinkly lights above us along with the regular lighting of the restaurant. The space was also very clean, but I noticed some wear and tear on the tables/chairs. Once Mehdi brought our food out, we got to eating. My omelette also came with a small side salad with balsamic vinaigrette and some potatoes. I think everything tasted good, especially the omelette, but the potatoes were a bit too greasy for my taste. I also think the portion size was too small for the price. This statement goes for everything we ordered. It was all extremely overpriced for the portions they're offering. My son said his panini was just mediocre and bland. He opened it and added a bunch of salt to it. It was also very skimpy on the chicken, about 4-5 tiny slices inside. Moving onto the pastries, the Pear/Almond was my favorite. It wasn't overly sweet (actually, none of the pastries were), which is what I prefer. It was very delicate and tasty. I also had a bite of the Caribbean which was delicious. They went well with my latte, which tasted very good. I will be trying the rest later. My son had a bite of everything and liked the Caribbean and the Nutella Beignet, saying the rest were just average. I didn't use the restroom but my son did and said it was spotless clean, stocked with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and room spray. The trash was empty, floors and counters were clean. They have one men's and one women's restroom and it's spacious. They began closing down the place about 5 minutes after we finished our bites and nibbling. Overall, it wasn't a bad experience by any means, but I don't think I'll be rushing here anytime soon to try it again. It was just outrageously expensive for what it was. I understand the cost of ingredients, labor, etc it takes to produce pastries and viennoiserie, but I just don't think the quality matched the prices. Just my opinion. I would say the service was great, both Gabriel and Mehdi are great employees! I may or may not come back. We'll see.
