I'll be honest, we were not a great group for this restaurant and I feel really bad about it. First off, we were a half hour late to our reservation because the birthday girl got sick in the car on the way over. Fortunately, the people in our party who arrived separately and on time were able to get drinks from the bar and entertain themselves while they waited. The restaurant gave us no trouble for seating us late, giving us just a gentle reminder that they closed at 9:00 (and we arrived after 8:00). We were a party of six but because the birthday girl wasn't feeling well, she didn't order anything. And the staff didn't give us any problem about that. Our server was very patient with us even though we were kind of a motley crew and some of us were a little traumatized over the illness that had occurred. They were really nice to bring a birthday dessert which of course our friend couldn't enjoy but other people at the table ate. I ordered a wedge salad and was happy to find out that I could add a protein to it, so I added a filet. Another person at the table ordered the same thing and I think our orders might have gotten mixed up because I ordered medium rare and the other person's plate looked medium rare but mine came out medium. But it tasted good and I was happy enough with it so I just went ahead and ate it and enjoyed it. Our server asked another person in our party how he enjoyed the prime rib and he made kind of an offhanded joke about how much fat was on the cut and said something like, it would be nice if more of it were edible. And without question, a little while later the staff came over and told him that they had another full serving of prime rib coming out for him. No questions asked. (To be honest, he ate the entire portion of the first prime rib except for the fat pieces, so they went above and beyond I think.) They also let us have a leisurely dinner and did not rush us out and it was probably about 10:00 p.m. when we finally left and they were cleaning up. The bartender was amazing too, I came to him with a $100 bill and he made change for me no problem so I could throw in cash for my portion of our party's bill. I had to drive 30 minutes back to our hotel and I had to passengers, one of whom was sick, so I didn't have any cocktails but the drink menu looked amazing and I would love to come back and hang out at the bar sometime. Maybe take advantage of happy hour. Thanks for everything and I'm sorry we were such a mess!

My spouse and I were seated at Table 2, which had six guests. Two servers were assigned to the event. The gentleman serving the other tables was exceptional, professional, attentive, and pleasant throughout the evening. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the young BLONDE woman assigned to our table. Having frequented countless steakhouses over the decades, including Sycamore Inn, I have a clear understanding of what professional restaurant service should look like. This experience was not merely disappointing; it was uncomfortable, embarrassing, and completely unacceptable! All six guests at our table were served their salads at approximately the same time except for my spouse and me. Our salads arrived a good 10 minutes later. The other guests actually began to feel uncomfortable and made consoling comments to us, assuring us that our salads were presumably on the way. That alone was awkward and unnecessary. Our drinks were watered down and were NEVER refilled, nor were we ever asked if we would like another. Meanwhile, other guests at our SAME table, whose glasses were still relatively full, were offered and given refills without even requesting them. The inconsistency was OBVIOUS to everyone at our table. When the entrées were served, my spouse and I were again singled out. Our portions were noticeably and dramatically SMALLER (kid size) portions than those served to everyone else at SAME our table; so much so that the other guests immediately noticed and questioned WHAT WAS HAPPENING. Being treated differently in front of an entire table of people was both embarrassing and insulting. The situation improved ONLY when the gentleman serving the event stepped in and brought us our dessert. He was courteous, attentive, and made an effort to provide the pleasant experience we should have received from the beginning. The BLONDE server never returned to our table and instead continued assisting other guests around the room. This was not simply a matter of being busy. It was a consistent pattern of neglect, unequal treatment, and a lack of BASIC customer service. If Sycamore Inn expects its staff to represent the establishment professionally, this employee clearly needs immediate and serious re - training in customer service!!! If she has no interest (or was begged by Sycamore Inn to work for them - which we ALL DOUBT) in providing great of service, management should seriously reconsider whether she belongs in a customer-facing position. One exceptional server (the gentleman who also served at this event in the downstairs reception room) cannot compensate for another employee making guests feel ignored, uncomfortable, and embarrassed. We came expecting the level of hospitality associated with Sycamore Inn and left deeply disappointed. MANAGEMENT PLEASE ADDRESS THIS HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IT WAS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNFORGETTABLE!

For some it may be a little to loud as there is a show that contains gun fire so small children may get scared but as for the rest of you scallywags the singing dancing and sword fights are where its at!! The food choices are limited as it is a fixed menu but the chicken was really good and flavorful and the mashed potatoes and veggies were good as well nothing to fancy. We were there to celebrate a birthday so when they came out with the chocolate cake dessert the waiter lit a candle on hers. Very kind and prompt service!

Not appropriate for adults and children with sensory sensitivity, adhd, and those who are neurodivergent. My 7 yo son got so scared and overwhelmed by the unnecessary loud bangs and audio. The show would otherwise have been enjoyable because the actors and performers were very skilled. Ownership- please lower the audio!!

We went on a Friday night and parking was very challenging we ended up walking a good distance to get to the venue. Once we arrived it was very small compared to the brea improv, id guess that it holds around 10 to 15 percent of the audience that brea does. The up side is that not a single seat is far from the stage. So it feels very intimate. 2 items minimum per person, same menu as the brea location. Table service and you can scan a QR code on the table to order yourself. I had pepperoni pizza and my fiance had her regular chicken quesadilla. Ordered some seasoned fries, a Pepsi, and chocolate brownie sundae. We had a great time, if the parking situation was better it would be a fantastic venue. I'll definitely return.

Every element had a theme that changes with each course. The menus included: Roots and dirts, hamachi, kabocha, eggplant and Paducah, tenderloin and mushroom, ube for desert! A neat experience but somewhat pricy considering all the extra fees/add ons and also tips and drinks were not included- the $200 food package does come with drinks (not even soft drinks). In addition, there was a service fee for each package that you purchase as well. Parking is a block away and no valet - plan ahead. We thought the food was just OK. Every dish was cold which we thought was odd. We had a birthday in our party and I even emailed them asking to see if they could put a candle on the dessert - they said no but they will be doing something special. I also noticed others who celebrated birthdays had happy birthday written next to their name - that was not the case in our party. On top of that, at the end of the night they gave us a bill for a meal that we prepaid in full. Overall, I was disappointed in the food - it felt like a dry/ practice run on opening day except the price did not reflect that. The staff was very nice and friendly.

What a fun time! I've passed by this place so many times and one night I decided I was feeling…read moremedieval... lo and behold, I had a blast. I love that the experience starts from the moment you arrive at the ticket stand (with the "lord" and "lady") where all the staff is dressed in medieval clothing. The venue is well-decorated and has plenty of things to do and look at, whether you want to buy swords/merch/drinks/figures, get knighted, look at the horses that will soon be in the stadium, or chill in the courtyard. The food was also surprisingly delicious and well-seasoned, consisting of tomato soup, garlic bread, chicken, corn, and potato. They also give to-go boxes if you can't finish it all which is nice. The main highlight of the evening is when the knights participate in their joust, complete with horse-riding and spears, sword fighting action, hand-to-hand combat, and some plot twists. You can even take pictures with the knights after the show! Overall this was a super enjoyable experience, perfect for celebrating any occasions or just to go out with friends/family. Next time I return, I'll dress up in my most medieval attire :)

The line to get in was not bad at all, it was moving pretty quickly. We arrived in an hour before the show started. The box window gave us our VIP passes and we walked over to the tavern to hang out before the show. Wow, the drinks were expensive! I received a plastic souvenir margarita cup with non-alcoholic beverage for $25. I will say that the strawberry lime Virgin margarita tasted like a delicious slushy. I also purchased a sword, plastic one for a gift and it was $45. They really get you with their merch. They do give you a free flag to wave for your Color team. At least they give you that. We had a wonderful waitress, her name was Bridget S. She was in theme constantly, was on point with food delivery and very friendly when asked questions. Five stars for her! The reason I did not give five stars for my total review is because the food wasn't as tasty as I remember it. The tomato bisque was pretty watered down and salty. The potato and chicken were fine. Nothing outrageous. The garlic bread was tasty. We were also given a mini chocolate eclair and confetti cake. When I bit into the chocolate eclair, you can tell it had been previously frozen and it had nothing but frozen water gushing where there should have been cream. The confetti cake was so sweet from the frosting, but the bread lacked so much flavor. I do love that they come by with coffee at the end. That was a nice touch. The show was great as usual. Yay go blue team!

Perched on a hill overlooking the city, it's especially beautiful at sunset and after dark. The scenery alone makes it a wonderful spot for a date night or a special occasion. The food has been consistently enjoyable. The hors d'oeuvres served at the events I've attended were all delicious, and during a previous dinner I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, which was excellent. It was cooked just the way I like it, moist and flaky with a firm texture rather than soft and mushy. My only real complaint is the parking. The restaurant uses valet, and I wish there were a self-parking option instead. Personally, I'd rather park my own car than pay for valet when the parking area is right there. It also puts guests in the awkward position of feeling obligated to tip on top of the valet fee. That said, the beautiful setting, great food, and overall atmosphere make this a place I'd gladly return to, especially for a special evening with an amazing view.
