And they use white onions instead of red? She was also told croutons were included on the salad but there were none. So, satisfaction with the salad is going to depend on the toppings you choose. Hubby ordered a patty melt and onion rings and said it was so so. The restaurant is rather small inside, so if you visit on a busy weekend, get there early. If you are a sports fan, you're in luck! It's warm, welcoming, and comfortable. There's just an easygoing feel to the place that works. Food - 5:5 I ordered the Prime Rib Points, medium rare, and they came out perfectly cooked. They were served with toasted baguette slices and an in-house horseradish sauce. The beef was tender, hot, and exactly the temperature I ordered. The horseradish sauce was excellent and complemented the prime rib without overpowering it. And here's something that deserves mentioning: my food was in front of me within about 15 minutes of ordering it, piping hot and perfectly prepared. That's about as good as it gets. The thing that really stood out to me, though, was the atmosphere. I've been to bars that have dollar bills on the ceiling or scattered on a few walls, but I've never seen anything like The Griffon. The place is absolutely covered from floor to ceiling in dollar bills. It was such a unique sight and made for a really fun experience.
