    Ceviche de Camaron

This review started out as a 4.5 stars from walking through the door then as we left went to a 3.4 star rating. For Cinco de Mayo holiday afternoon, seemed at a normal capacity because there was no wait time to be seated which was a total plus for us to get a drink and snacks. The food was fresh, packed with flavor and a solid portion. We ordered the ceviche and chicken nachos as appetizers, they were a way bit overpriced (I understand it's NY prices but damn for apps). We also got a margarita and couple of beers but the sad thing is there was supposed to be a second margarita that we never got. It took quite a while to get our servers attention and we understand it's a holiday with the possibility of shorthanded servers. We had two servers in the back dining area and about 4 runners that could've gotten our items while she was busy. That was the main reason for the decrease in rating, LOUD music where I had to scream to talk and charging us for the missing marg. Overall, we will come back because the food was fantastic and in hopes the service will be better.

We found ourselves in Pleasantville the other day and stumbled on the Mexican spot. I remember this place being a nice Italian restaurant years ago and when I saw it was a Mexican restaurant now, I had to get my taco fix on. Decore is very cool, staff was friendly, and the food was very good. I was disappointed by a very limited wine selection but a nice sangria eased my pain. Definitely a nice addition to a great little town. Enjoy!

The shrimp isn't properly de-veined, the steak is an obliterated overcooked brick, the beans are a runny sludge, the chips are stale and unseasoned, the salsa is devoid of any flavor, and the churros are break-your-teeth rock hard. Don Juan is extremely expensive for exceedingly below-average food.

Authentic Mexican restaurant that gives all the feels you're looking for ! Service is spectacular and servers are super attentive. Complimentary chips and salsa for the table with a generous amount of salsa. We ordered quesabirria tacos for apps which comes with three dipping sauces bursting with flavor. I ordered steak fajitas. Steak was cooked to perfection and portion size was great. I would 100% recommend this place and will for sure be coming back.

Me and my husband ate dinner here tonight & would definitely come back here again, the service was excellent, everyone was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious of what we ordered, everything was perfect! And the salsa n chips were yummy!

Don Juan has never done me wrong and has always been a solid option for Mexican. It's been around 10+ years too if I'm not mistaken. I stopped in for lunch the other day and got the huarache with chicken. It was delicious and a very adequate serving. My wife got the enchilada and that was also good. My margarita was also good.

Closest Mexican restaurant around. They have free chips and salsa at the bar. I enjoy their ceviche. Always full when I leave here. They have Mexican decor all around. Very lovely. Street parking is sometimes a pain but I've never had to walk more then a block, but I usually get a spot right out front. Very nice staff. They have a press for fresh lime juice for margaritas! Sometimes they have a beer bucket special while games are on. There are two TVs at the fully stocked bar. Be prepared to take home a doggy bag, I always enjoy my left overs the next day. They have a men's and womens bathroom too which is always clean.

Very solid Mexican food for the area. I grew up in Cali so nothing replicates the real thing but this is the best in the area.

First time visiting and it definitely won't be my last! This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The food is top quality and service is excellent. the restaurant is also quite well decorated for such a miniscule place. The only caveat keeping this review from being five stars is the price. Mexican fare is known for being hearty, large portioned and affordable and having now patronized this establishment twice, I can say it is two of the three. The lofty price tag will unfortunately keep me from becoming a regular. Still, it is a nice treat once in a blue moon. Good show, overall. Fare: 5/5 Price: $$$

From the moment you walk in, the energy hits you. The festive front and large bar set the tone right away--it practically invites you to kick things off with a tequila and just enjoy the night. One of the highlights was the tableside Guacamole Al Molcajete. Freshly made right in front of us, and absolutely delicious. The chips were warm, colorful, and clearly made fresh--always a great sign. For the main course, we ordered shrimp fajitas, enchiladas rancheras, and chimichangas. The fajitas came sizzling with mushrooms, onions, and peppers, along with all the sides--guacamole, pico de gallo, shredded lettuce, sour cream, yellow rice, refried beans, and flour tortillas. The shrimp had a nice char and great flavor. Everything was generous in portion--we ended up with more food than we could finish. Between the lively atmosphere, attentive, service, , flavorful food, and fun overall vibe, this place delivers more than just a meal--it's an experience. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

We were a party of 9, all anxious to experience the new changes. We were Delighted! We were warmly greeted upon entering the restaurant and our reserved table was ready. Melvin, our skilled waiter introduced himself and ensured we were all comfortable. Fresh, delectable, Salsa and Chips were generously placed at our table and proved to be the perfect accompaniment to the large, very tasty and refreshing original and strawberry margaritas we ordered. Roberto, Joselyn and Finn were most hospitable and periodically checked on us to ensure we were enjoying every offering. The Ceviche appetizer could have been a meal, plentiful with lots of shrimp, avocado, onions and peppers - Oh, So Delicious. In fact, the Best We Ever Had! Our table had a great variety of entrees which elicited lots of oohs and ahhs. The Seafood Crepes and Tres Amigos were two of the many standouts. Even the rice and beans were special - extra creamy and yummy! As delish as all the desserts looked, we didn't get to sample any because we were all invited for coffee and holiday treats back home. Just one of the reasons we Can't Wait To Go Back!
