Let me start off by saying we have always LOVED The draft! We were there for when they first opened on Alma School & the 60. Awesome place, the ambience and service . Fast forward to the new location of baseline and country club. Long story Short the service sucks ‍. Honestly. The food is always good, the homemade chips are the best part. The food prices are kind of pricey BUT that's understandable with inflation today. Reason for my review is because we took a trip for lunch today. To start off we were shocked that a SIX piece Mozzarella stick appetizer was $15. We moved on for something else. It wasn't busy at all (I counted) there were 10 tables/parties. We sat down and the drinks came right away. It was then time to order - the menu gives the option for a vegan patty "ask about our vegan patty's". We did. And they didn't have any. This was not the first time but if you don't have it, take it off the menu. Anyway, we put our order in and it definitely took some time. I've waitressed for some time in my life and it wasn't somewhere that is as free wheeling as the draft. We had rules and had to handle tables in a certain amount of time or we had the chance of being written up/ fired. I know things take time but today just seemed like more time than normal to bring out a KIDS grilled cheese, Mac & cheese and a bunless burger with just onion, lettuce and tomato. We rolled with it. Again, we love the draft. Once we got our food our waitress NEVER came back. Not to ask about drinks, not to ask how our food was, just not at all. So if there were any issues she wouldn't have known. In the mean time, she was standing 6 feet away from us at the bar flirting with a male customer. I gave her time to finish her convo or even look over at us to wink or (with her face) ask us if we needed anything. Never happened. We were waiting for her to come over so we could order another kids grilled cheese to replace the vegan patty that they did not have. She never came. I had to get up from my table and walk to the bar to ask her if we could get another grilled cheese. She put it in and again she never came back. The bartender saw us (kudos and also not his job) but he came over and asked us if he could refill our drinks and take some plates away. Thank you sir! We waited about 15/20 for our grilled cheese. Once we got it we were ready for the bill. That was the most and fastest our waitress came to our table was to give us the check and charge our card. Today's experience really removed the draft from my top 5 eat out choices. Again, as a prior waitress I would never not tip someone but also believe you don't just deserve 20% / 25% tip. You have to do some kind of work. Wow! What a great find. Enjoyed great beer, food, service, music, and sports all in one spot and at a good price last night at this sweet place. In town for spring training and just wanted a place with a variety of beer. Impressive on tap beer selection. Saw the menu and got hooked enough to order dinner. Excuse the food photos as we had taken apart and started eating before I realized it was good enough to photograph and give a great review. Tiffany was our waitress and she was so smily and nice that we felt happy. The fish and chips were perfectly breaded and crispy. Cool jalapeño tartar sauce and delicious coleslaw on the side. The American burger came out piping hot and cooked perfectly to medium as requested. The shoestring fries had a delicious seasoning. I am not sure what it was but it was really tasty. There was not a throwaway item on either plate. Great value too. Loved the mixed of music played. And I have never been in a sports bar of this size with so many screens. This place is a real Sports Bar... TV's everywhere with all the game you can imagine (even some on replay... its baseball season and I watching football!!) Came here after a work volunteer event nearby and they were able to accommodate our large group (20+). We only had one server as we did come on a Thurs during Happy Hour and we kept her busy, but she was great to keep our orders organized and delivered as fast as possible. We order a series of appetizers ranging from the chicken wings with a variety of sauces (would recommend the "Draft Sauce") but the best was the dry rub wings!!! Something about dry rub brings out the flavor and I had the Lemon Pepper & Truffle Parmesan. And if you're doing Keto (like many in my group, you had plenty of options. The team pretty much ordered 1 of every appetizer and the only thing that was still standing was the nachos and that was because all the other items were pretty good. Personally, I went with the Cobb Salad and for the price, you get a pretty good size bang for your $$$. Make sure you come during happy hour as the draft beer specials are good and getting more (oz) cost you less then the normal size depending on your beer choice. First off the server was great, the food was a different story. Three out of the four at the table ordered food with burgers at approx 4.30 PM on Sunday last. The burgers were dry and lifeless, the fries were dried up - hard - overcooked - tasteless, it was very clear that all our food was warmed up from earlier, they need to realize that we are not all stupid. I was the only one to mention the issue and receive a new batch of fries that were crisp, hot and tastily. I looked around and saw more customer getting the same fries as the crappy ones that we had received. WTF, my wife hates complaining so we ended leaving with a over $150.00 bill, the evening was disappointing, the server and the company were the only plus that evening. Wow!!! The food here really surprised me. Came with little expectation just because how good can a sports bar be. But everything is made to order and so delicious. We had the pretzel bites, buffalo chicken dip, jalapeño chicken rolls to start. All of them were absolutely scrumptious. The chicken dip and the chicken rolls are spicy!! Kylie and I just ate here for the first time. First impression was great. It's big and spacious. We were super excited that they had Ace Pineapple cider on tap. We ordered the wings, French dip sliders, and lava pockets. The wings were excellent, and actually crispy, which most restaurants fail to achieve. The sliders were good, but the gravy was definitely instant broth. I can't believe I'm saying it, but I would recommend eating the sandwiches without the gravy. The lava pockets tasted exactly like Totino's pizza rolls, so take that however you want. Really, my only gripe was the bill. We were well within the happy hour timeframe, but our bill didn't seem to reflect the discounts. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think our drinks, sliders, or pizza rolls had the happy hour discount applied. Without the expected discounts, I think our bill was $11 more than it should have been. Let me tell you a story... I walked into The Draft Sports Grill, in the front there was a sign that said "please seat yourself" or something along those lines, so I did. I was near the bar and I waited a few minutes, I felt unnoticed, almost abandoned... I noticed out of the corner of my eye that the bartender (a husky guy with a beard and curly hair) noticed that none of the servers had even approached me. He watched for a few seconds and looked around to see if any waitresses/servers were available. There were none. He didn't notice but I was watching him too... he was busy with 15 people sitting at the bar, yes 15 people, I counted. For the first time in my entire life at least for the first time I ever noticed in my entire life, a bartender, A BARTENDER!!! Came from behind his busy counter to do the job of a waiter/waitress/server. Whatever this guy is getting paid, it needs to be doubled at the least. He did an amazing job serving all the people at the bar and me, all at the same time as well as at least one other table. He seriously saved this from being a 3 or more likely 4 star review. If your reading this, do yourself a favor and if you see this guy, curly rustic hair with a beard and a bit husky, sit at the bar or whatever his section is; sit back and enjoy watching sports on tv and don't worry about your beer going empty or being served cold food. As an added note, place is clean, menu is well written, great daily specials as well as happy hour. I have no complaints about the food, it was fresh and well presented. There is an outdoor patio, floors are clean, aside from the servers/ waitresses/waiters need to be a little more observant (luckily they have an awesome bartender) this place is near perfect!! Do not go there! I met some friends there, I got there 2 hrs later. We were a group of 12, when I got there waitress did not even look my direction, my group mentioned the bad service of this waitress, she would never check on them for drinks, kept having to look for her each time. I ordered a drink, later looked for her to order food again!! Some of the people we going to leave and brought the bill. My bill was included to this bill, I could not believe it! I asked why my bill was added to the group and wanted to pay separately and she said no ! It is their policy...I told her I just got here how could u add my bill to the others who have been here 2 hours and me 10 minutes. I felt rushed to now pay my bill, I could not enjoy my food. Food was amazing. I had the French dip on beer bread, by far the best French dip sandwich I've ever had. Our server, McKenna was super friendly and spot on with her description of what we ordered. My husband had the club sandwich and savored every bite. Definitely worth 1000 return trips. From the cool decor to the countless televisions that surround the bar, there is also a pool table, shuffle board to the outside patio seating with misters. Lots of activities for the guests to enjoy! Great selections of beers including many locals on tap. Mixed and well drinks available too! Pretty impressive menu. We ordered their chicken wings ( hot & mango habanero) & calamari. Both were excellent. The calamari comes with a wasabi ranch that was delicious & really liked the grilled lemon wedge to squeeze on top of the seafood. Bartenders on staff were professional. Attentive and taking care of all the patrons. At the end of our visit the head bartender came over and shook our hand and thanked us for coming. Now, that is what gives a place five stars! I was recently visiting Mesa and stayed at a hotel just across from The Draft. I appreciated that there was a Sports Bar so close. The food was really fantastic and I would definitely recommend this restaurant for good eats. However, I would rate the service with one star at the most. Maybe it was because I sat on the patio instead of inside. I did notice that tables seated inside were definitely better attended by wait staff. Maybe it was because I was a woman eating alone. I even went there two nights in a row, hoping the second night's service would be better than the first. Unfortunately, the service was even worse the second night.
