I am torn whether to give this local bike shop a glowing review because I would honestly rather keep this little gem to myself. I have been bringing my several road and mountain bikes here for a couple of years and they are the best! You will usually work with Jonathan, the owner, who is friendly, honest, patient, and super knowledgeable. They do great work with fair, reasonable prices and quick turnaround times. Last year, I was having a persistent shifter issue and they spent a lot of time troubleshooting the issue rather than just selling me a new shifter. My only complaint is that they are a bit far for me, but it is well worth it to bring my bikes here. I definitely recommend going in if you are looking for advice on a new bike, accessories, or getting maintenance/repair on your bike! read more

The DropOut Cyclery is the bike shop you need in your life. On a recent bicycle touring trip from Ventura to San Diego my rear tubeless tire started to fail. With the only solution being a new tire I froze with fear that my trip would end there. (Torrance isn't the worst place to be marooned.) Google maps told me the nearest shop was the DropOut. I called ahead and Jonathan, the owner, told me he had a tubeless tire that'd do the job. I bent the rear rim on my EBike and the entire rim had to be replaced. After a few rides the "engine" failed. Johnathan called the manufacturer and had them send out a new rim and told me the labor to replace it would be at no charge. After further inspection he found that there was a bent wire going to the rim and after he straightened it out t he bike was fine! I was concerned that it may happen again and Johnathan said if it fails again call me and I'll come and get you! Now that is service! Such an honest very knowledgeable person. I needed a second bike and ended up buying one that was a true fixer upper. The bike was built using different components, the left gear shifter was at 2.5 when it should have been at 3 and the cabling was a mess. Don't even get me started on the amount of rust and oxidation I had to remove. I dropped it off at The DropOut Cyclery (TDC) late on Friday and picked it up on Sunday. This place is amazing. I called and left a Message after business hours inquiring about getting a set of pedals for my spin bike. Jonathan came to my apartment, picked up my spin bike, replaced a crank arm and put on nice caged pedals, and delivered back to me. All for less than $100. And would've been only $20-30 if he had been able to put the pedals on at my house (unfortunately needed a new crank arm so labor and parts costs increased). He was so polite and personable. We purchased online and had the e-bikes shipped to his store to assemble. He called when they arrived and said the bikes could be ready by end of day. We were in no rush. The delivery was smooth. Upon delivery, he gave us a walk through on the bike functions (start up, charge port, etc.). He also fully charged the bike so that it is ready to go. This was definitely an outstanding experience.
