    Steak something was terrible
    Kevin P.

Based on the reviews, we drove about an hour to get there waited another hour and a half to get in because they only have about eight or nine tables. I will say the staff was very friendly and the restaurant was clean, but as far as the meals were concerned, they were less than the reviews were saying they were. We had a couple of different dishes that were just regular normal dishes and they just didn't have the right taste or I will give you an example the turkey dinner I had had instant potatoes and a stuffing that taste like it was from a box and for that price it just really didn't sit well with me as far as what we were getting to what we were paying for so I'm sorry to give a bad review and I don't usually do that, but I just felt that I really need to improve their food qualityand if they are a true farmers table, they need to have more authentic meals that don't have instant products in them and taste as you would expect from a great area of Maine. I will say that we found very few eateries in this area Maine so I'm sure they'll continue to do well as far as business is concerned, but if you're going to make a long hour or so trip from one part of Maine to another, you may want to rethink your movement and I wish I could tell you there are other places that are better in the area, but they're not

    Super nice staff.

Great service from really nice folks. As others have said the food was like home cooking you got at your Grandma's house growing up.

Turns out they sell ice creams here, including at an outside window. We were going to watch a live concert in the gazebo across the road, and it was a warm night so stopped here first. I had soft serve in a cone, but she offered a dish and spoon as it was a bit melty. She added a little more soft serve to that dish as my cone was smaller than usual. I appreciated the extra touch.

Our first time eating here and it was amazing! I had a buffalo chicken wrap and my husband had a burger and both were fantastic! We also split an order of poutine which was amazing as well. Several other patrons were ordering breakfast when we arrived and their meals looked great too. An added benefit - it's accessible by snowmobile!

On this cool, overcast July day we decided to drive down to Corrina for lunch. What a great surprise. Our server was Ash (Ashley?) and did a commendable job. The food was delicious. My Deep fried Maine whole clam bellies, which are in limited supply, were a great treat. Lou had a giant platter of mashed potatoes, dressing, fresh turkey with gravy, and a side of pickled beets. Great service by Ash, and for dessert we all had chocolate cream pie. Fantastic!! See photos.

Last time we came I learned that you can order lunch items at breakfast times, so since we do breakfast at restaurants so often, I did lunch once. I went with a burger plate. The burger wasn't perfectly juicy, but it was tasty enough. On our most recent trip, however, I migrated back to the breakfast menu. I wanted the breakfast sandwich in a biscuit, with sausage, and it was great. It comes with home fries, grilled or deep fried. I prefer grilled myself. The server asked if I wanted to add sautéed onion, which I like, but I didn't want to ask if there was an up charge, so I passed! I also ordered a side of corn beef hash. All of it was great, and half of it came home with me for a leftover meal. My wife had side orders of over easy eggs and sausage gravy on a biscuit and she liked it also. One of our companions is vegan, and she was pleased with her veggie omelet, no cheese. Our other companion's weak coffee (one-third coffee, two-thirds water) was forgotten, but it was easily rectified. We like going here. It is nearby, they are all friendly and and even recognize us in this small town.

First of all: potato waffles. POTATO WAFFLES. Who knew such a glorious thing existed? I had one loaded with sausage, egg, and cheese and it was honestly a spiritual experience disguised as breakfast. The coffee was heavenly, the kind that makes you reconsider every sad gas station coffee decision you've ever made. The atmosphere was incredibly cozy and homey, like visiting the kitchen of someone who genuinely wants you to leave happier than you arrived. The staff was so friendly and attentive without ever feeling overbearing, and meeting the owner was the cherry on top. You can immediately tell how much heart he puts into the place and how deeply he loves what he does. If you're anywhere near Dover-Foxcroft and you don't stop here, you are depriving yourself of waffle-based happiness. I'm already planning my next visit.

Being winter, we ate inside this time! As always, and as mentioned in the first review, I had to find something different to try, as I cook a lot of breakfasts for myself at home. I settled on the corned beef hash, made in house, with the home fries, eggs and toast. The hash was excellent, as were the home fries and rye toast. The eggs were scrambled well enough, I suppose, but they seemed bland. Maybe I should have asked for a little salsa! The coffee was just okay considering they were advertising the Carrabassett brand they used. My wife ordered the avocado scramble, which also came with eggs and home fries, and she added bacon on the side. Unlike ravenous me, she had to take her eggs home. I can't forget to mention the server (Maggie?) who was friendly, chatty and took great care of us. I recommend Vittles even for breakfast, but I will repeat what I said in the other review: I want to get back there for lunch or dinner!

Not sure if they were having an off-day today or they've been sliding downhill but today's experience was far from ok. Starting with the good. It was quite busy when we arrived around 7:30 pm and despite this the waitstaff were very friendly and were helping each other out. The server who brought our drinks even brought shorter "kids-size" straws for the children. Very thoughtful. Our primary server (Kallie B.) was covering several tables in our section and had signaled that she was coming to take our order when she accidentally spilled a drink at the next table. She was apologetic to that that group and moved quickly to clean it up but knew that we had been waiting a long while to order, so asked another server to come and take our order. Again, thoughtful. The food was simply not good today. We were a group of 6 adults and 2 children. Most had fries with our meals. They were all very undercooked - as if they were rushed. The bacon on my wife's club sandwich was undercooked. Several of us left large portions of our meals barely touched because they just didn't taste good. I had ordered steak tips. I tried to eat the first two and were so chewy that I had to put them in my napkin. I left the rest on my plate. This leads to an important recommendation. While the staff's teamwork and friendliness was great, the servers would benefit from some training in attention to signs that customers are having issues with their meal. While our server did ask at one point how everything was, she did so hastily and said, "ok? Good." without waiting for an actual response. She didn't seem to notice that I hadn't eaten my $21 steak tips meal - or if she had noticed, didn't bother to ask about it. It felt insincere. Likewise, a lack of inquiry for the barely touched french fries and portions of several meals left on plates. In a word, today was disappointing. I hope they'll do better.

My partner reassured me it couldn't be - the cabins are generally quite clean and beautiful- but I looked up what they look like and they were 100% bedbugs. When we got home I had the worst bites I have ever had. I went to urgent care because I was so alarmed. We had been hiking in the woods, maybe it was regular bug bites? It was bedbug bites. And they were brutal. The "breakfast lunch and dinner" triple bite thing? Not a joke. My legs and neck were covered in welts for several weeks. The food is.... The bar is kind of fun, and it's locals wanting to do karaoke (we love!), but it's very much a "get out if you're not here every night" vibe.
