I called the owner, Joe , a few days ahead to say I would be there on Saturday and would like to have Sicilian pizza. You have to order it a few days ahead so Joe can let the dough ferment. Oh My Lord, it was unbelievable. The crust was doughy but crispy, light but with a foundation to hold the sausage, pepperoni, onions perfectly. It was so full of flavor. Simply the BEST pizza of my Lifetime. If you are anywhere near Alamosa, Colorado, I highly recommend you come here. You will not be disappointed. FYI: It's wise to call ahead because he sells out of dough, even for his normal pizzas, which are fantastic too. If you can, call 2 days to get the Sicilian pizza. They gave me five so I'm not sure if the chef made a mistake or was just feeling generous. I'll say the latter! The dish had tomatoes, capers, lemon, and white wine. The only thing I'd add to my taste would be pine nuts! We both totally enjoyed our meals including the bread! I forced myself to leave a little for lunch the next day and it was even better then! Comments I heard from around the dinner were equally enthusiastic about their meals, especially those who ordered the mussels. We're in town for a week and I don't usually go back to the same restaurant twice when I'm visiting a new location but my companion and I are definitely going back again before we leave.
