Food and atmosphere were decent, but the host stand experience was awkward. Two hostesses were standing at the podium outside but didn't greet us or make eye contact when we walked up -- saw us and continued talking as if we had not just approached/were not there at all lol it was weird. Thankfully, another hostess appeared who had been helping others be seated who greeted/seated us. Not a bad place overall but the lack of acknowledgment at the door made for an uncomfortable first impression. Avoid if you don't like being made to feel awkward when you're just trying to get some pizza. Their pizza was good - the jalapeno carnitas one especially. Had leftovers and they were packed with paper between so it was not soggy / and it was delicious two days later. The Caesar Salad was great - the sourdough croutons perfect crisp, dressing - perfect tang. We also had some sourdough garlic cheese toast! Again, great flavor, crunch and not burned!! This is one of the several times I've been to The Goat and Vine, and it is one of my favorite restaurants in Temecula. It always tops the list because of the excellent food and fun ambiance. The service was excellent and our server Ronnie made sure we had full drinks and everything we needed. We got the Goat and Vine salad and the Hatch Honey Chicken Pizza. Both were excellent, very fresh and have very balanced flavors. I've not had a bad meal here. The one recommendation is to join the waitlist earlier than you think you need to because the restaurant is very popular and wait times can get quite long. read more

Seasonal sangria was blueberry and you could tell it was made with perfectly ripe blueberries had such a good balance of sweetness. Goat and Vine salad was very good! Simple but fresh strawberries and the goat cheese added lots of good flavor! Meatballs had a nice crispy outside but soft inside and the tomato sauce was so fresh. Served with a Parmesan cheese bread that had a nice crunch. The pizza was probably the best I've ever had. The honey adds a sweetness that works so well. Crust was also enjoyable! Sandwiches are also really good. I had the saloon steak mushroom melt and it was by far the best hot sandwich I've ever had. The quality mushrooms and steak they use paired with their jalapeño lime crema was so delicious. Service was amazing and personable as the server asked how we liked the food. I always find it cute when I order something, and the restaurant thinks that I am going to share by bringing extra plates and spoons. But on this day, in Temecula, my friend ordered one thing and I ordered a full-on pizza with dessert. No sharing (though, honestly, I probably should have). Let's talk about the Goat's Garden pizza. It says it is a 14-inch pizza, and for some reason, I couldn't measure this in my mind, and out came this beautifully sliced pie. It has everything its menu described, "Roasted crimini mushrooms, goat cheese, marinated artichoke hearts, spinach, and a white ricotta cream," and it was delicious. I delightful told my friend that I was impressed with the fresh mushroom. The dough was perfect. Not too thick, not chewy, and because I saved the other half of the pizza for the next day, it was equally good. And, for dessert, they only have 2 options on the menu (which is smart, especially if you want to highlight the food), so I went with the Sourdough Pudding. That was divine! I forgot to let the waitress know start the oven for my dessert (which she asked me to do, weird, right?), but she remembered on her own and out came this beautifully sweet dessert; I was in carb and sugar heaven. Again, the waitress thought I was sharing and brought out two spoons... that's cute. Overall, the food was great and with great ambiance. Parking is tricky, so give yourself time, and it is busier on the weekends, so reservations are highly recommended. read more

Delicious food for years now. I still remember when Goat & Vine was located on the corner of 5th street and it was delicious there! The pizzas are fantastic as well as the salads. I was impressed with the both the hot and cold sandwiches. My girlfriend and I have been here a few times and the service is great with very helpful wait staff. They have a painting of this crazy looking goat high up on the wall, but it goes great with the whole area. Drinks in the evening are fantastic as well and it is a very fun environment. read more

Update: After reviewing the other reviews, the culprit for the customer's issues is the same front door hostess. If the owner /management looks at the Yelp reviews, we (the public) highly recommend to review your staff quarterly reviews, and to have their HR talk with their front-door staff and to retrain them better on conveying the business model they're trying to achieve concerning customer service. Original: I went here on Dec 26th with a friend visiting from LA, put our names on the waiting list, and was told we would be seated by 8:26pm per the waitlist and hostess (2-3 hour waitlist). I confirmed with the hostess if we would still be able to order food by the time we will be seated, since their kitchen was understaffed at the time and the kitchen closing was dangerously close to our seated timetable. They said it should not be an issue. Come 8:30pm, the waitlist changed to 9pm (closing time). I called at 8:30pm to reconfirm the dinner when another lady said they would not be seating anyone by then. At this point, I lost my cool, mostly because they had ample time to call their waitlisted guests by 8:00pm to alert them that they would not be served for tonight; by 8:45pm, all other restaurants were closing or not seating anyone else. I asked if we could st the very least order take out-- the lady said no because the kitchen closed right as I asked her for other available options. I blew up, and stated this type of service would ruin their reputation here in Temecula, when other restaurants care about their customers. That was when they said if we arrived in 1 minute we could be seated. I drove my friend to the restaurant in less than a minute, parked another 4 blocks away, and ran to make it to the RSVP. Not the best of experience. I arrive, and I found the hostess stoic (unsurprisingly) and unwilling to converse. Although we were able to order our food, the hostess at the door was stone-faced and triggered my LA friend with her anxiety symptoms during the check-in and she shut down when she had seated. So overall, how the service was handled was not stellar, extremely stressful, and quite disorganized. They do not do take out as well, whether you order over the phone or in person (???) The food was great (hence the two stars JUST FOR THE FOOD QUALITY), but the staff and business owner need to work on their business model and how they treat their customers. We are human. As such, we require care and service once it's been established we were confirmed onto the waiting list. We chose not to go to the other restaurants based on the initial discussion regarding the wait-list with the hostess, which led to this undesirable situation. I definitely was not pleased by how we were treated (30 years), my visiting friend from LA who's been at this establishment with her family multiple of times were not pleased, were triggered, and we all were pretty traumatized by there female door-hostess. Terrible experience-- train your employees and managers to do better. read more

The vibe more than just Temecula , this was a Napa Valley worthy restaurant... dare I say We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. They do take reservations. I highly recommend it is dog friendly. It's a corner restaurant it's just off of the main street. They have beautiful booths a great bar tables by the window and also high tables.
