I am a frequent blood donor and on the days that I donate, I always have steak & spinach. I was in Dallas and I thought I'd try a new restaurant. The diner is small & cute. They were t very busy for a Wednesday. When my plate arrived I was taken back with the small amount of spinach, but the steak looked good, but was sadly over done. What really ruined my lunch was the cold hash browns. What a bummer.

Came here in the morning looking for a quality breakfast experience and was definitely left satisfied! The service here was great and the ambience, especially if you're from Dallas, was awesome. They have plenty of memorabilia to gaze upon from Dallas sports teams to John Wayne. They really do have a little bit of everything. Their menu is exciting and fun to look through as they have tons of breakfast options to pick from. The names of some of their dishes are interesting too as one is literally named after John Wayne himself. I had the corn beef and hash with eggs over easy. It also came with hash browns and a choice of grits, toast, or English muffins. Overall, I definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice hole in the wall breakfast joint in the Lakewood area of Dallas!

This place is like a Texas version of Luke's Diner from the Gilmore Girls. It's homey, loved by the community and the food speaks for itself I ordered the chicken fried steak. It was perfectly seasoned. The gravy was very tasty. I didn't order coffee but my friends did and the staff was very attentive when it came to refills. If ever in Dallas, I'll be sure to come back. Thank you for the energy boost Goldrush!

Our event coordinator had already been in contact with each hotel's sales team regarding room blocks, but my fiancé and I wanted to personally see the properties before recommending them to 30-40 hotel room blocks. Although we arrived after sales office hours, Liz at the front desk was exceptionally kind. She walked us through the restaurants commonly used for private events, explained the renovation timeline, and invited us to take our time exploring before returning to the front desk to view a standard guest room. Unfortunately, our experience changed when another employee, who later identified himself as Clayton, a manager, stepped in. It appeared he had been listening to our conversation but had not introduced himself. He abruptly informed us that we would not be able to view a room. We explained that our event coordinator was already working with the sales manager regarding room blocks and pricing, and that we were simply trying to ensure we felt confident recommending the hotel to our family and friends. Despite understanding the situation, he remained unwilling to accommodate the request. His only suggestion was that we purchase a room if we wanted to see one. For us, this interaction spoke volumes. Hospitality isn't just about beautiful rooms--it's about making potential guests feel welcomed and valued. If this was the experience we received as prospective clients considering multiple wedding events and dozens of room nights, it gave us pause about what our guests might experience. As a result, we will likely to move our room block, welcome dinner, Saturday event, and Sunday brunch where we're met with warmth, flexibility, and genuine hospitality from the moment we arrive. The Joule is undeniably a beautiful property, but customer service plays a major role in our decision-making. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling that our business was neither appreciated nor wanted.

We ordered the Grilled Lamb Chop Lollipops and the Brisket Risotto Balls for an appetizer. There are only 3 lollipops but they were INCREDIBLE! The presentation was beautiful! The brisket risotto balls were good. Think "boudain" balls. Reinspired and tasty. I ordered the Duck & Rope Pasta, my other half ordered the Beef Arrarbbiata and my daughter and granddaughter shared the Steak Frites. All of it was delicious! The duck confit in the Duck & Rope Pasta was perfect! Don't be scared on this one. It is worth it! For dessert, we ordered the Ferrero Rocher and HOLEY MOLEY! It was huge and delicious.
