Our family chose Grand Feast to celebrate a birthday, and it turned out to be the best decision. We'd heard the food was exceptional -- some even said the best on the Upper West Side -- and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. I'll admit I was a little skeptical when we first walked in, since the restaurant itself is quite simple. But the manager was very accommodating and let us bring in our own tablecloth and decorations, which made the celebration feel extra personal. His attentiveness, along with the excellent service throughout the evening, set just the right tone. And then came the food, which was nothing short of outstanding - its reputation is well deserved. Every single dish was beautifully prepared and full of flavor. Our group ordered a wide variety of items, and each one was cooked to perfection. The DUCK, their signature dish, was a highlight: tender with just the right amount of crispness, paired with an orange sauce that was not too sweet. I ordered the SHELLFISH & SHRIMP over FETTUCCINE, and it was incredible -- the broth was so delicious I wished I had asked for a spoon to savor every last drop. The RISOTTO was creamy and comforting, the peas adding a nice freshness. The SALMON & STEAK were also excellent, both cooked exactly as ordered. Honestly, it's impressive how such a small kitchen can deliver dishes of this caliber. We took advantage of their VERY FAIR WINE PRICES and ordered a few bottles. All in all we felt we were getting great value. Grand Feast isn't fancy, but the food speaks for itself and makes it worthwhile. The service makes you feel cared for, and the whole experience feels like a hidden gem on the Upper West Side. We left full, happy, and already talking about when we'll come back and what we will try next time.

Slamming. Discrete looking place that I didn't expect to be wowed by BUT what a pleasant surprise. I had the beef bourginon and a Cesar salad and wtf it was good! lol it was quiet for lunch but amazing. Great service too. Definitely support your local places especially when they are this good.

What an amazing place. Marian welcome as with a great smile. Service was above and beyond. Food was a different level the best pancakes I have eat in NYC. The burger also worth the price . That was a real "Grand Feast Burger" absolutely delicious. Decoration is just fine. I will definitely come back here I love it !!!

Stopped by this restaurant during a search for a great neighborhood happy hour deal. We were the only guests there and were allowed to bring in our dog since it was cold outside. The place doesn't have their full liquor license yet so we opted to getting a Guinness and IPA pint for $6 each. Well worth the price and will be back to try their wine and food!

I was able to make reservations at the last minute on a Sat night despite July being a very touristy month in the city. We arrived early and an outdoor table was just finishing up so we were sat within a handful of minutes. Beautiful evening to sit outdoors and the people-watching was good but not bothersome. We ordered Escargot, crispy artichokes, french onion soup, the duck and the steak au poive, all of which were excellent (the duck was very nice). Despite the variety of wine available we were enjoying cocktails and our water glasses were constantly refilled. The service was very good as well and the maitre d was also very pleasant. Very solid performance and would love to revisit at a later date.

Conclusion- disappointed, as it's 5 years past its prime, as its last Michelin Bib Gourmand (2021) sign had proven prophetic. Pros- the only non-French menu item off the lunch menu, the burger with fries, was one of the tastiest I had anywhere in sometime. Would have been perfect had I ordered it medium rare, instead of medium. One plus is the decent portion size, for both main entrees and appetizers. Cons- all the other French menu items can use room(s) for improvement. Starting with the mussels bowl, although very flavorful, mussels were a bit overcooked, and it can use a bit more butter, and one less pinch of salt in flavoring. Next, the Escargot appetizer can use more flavoring, and the tuna tartare was way too bland, definitely needs more salt, pepper, and whatever other seasoning to enhance its flavor. Service- server attitude was decent; however, the wait times for food for both appetizers & main entrees were way too long, especially given the fact it's a rainy weekday mid-afternoon and there were only 2 other tables of diners. Given its past glory, and fact there are several other Amelies chain locations in NYC, perhaps the owner(s) of this establishment can take my constructive comments to heart?

The duck was cooked perfectly, rendered and crispy while remaining to temp Staff were helpful when needed, didn't constantly check in. I'd call it "French style" where you should ask if you need because they don't coddle you and constantly check in, which I prefer. It's a bit small but that's neither good nor bad, just what it is. The "casual fine dining" they're going for is the perfect description. I felt neither over nor under dressed in a button up short sleeve and a nice pair of jeans. Nothing stuffy or pretentious like some UWS places can be.

I mean it's drenched in butter... it's obviously going to be delish. the fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and layered in salt. weird to have to ask for mayo but they did bring it out. - the, albeit pretty, veggie sides I felt were unnecessary and borderline cold so unclear on how much they really added the meal - the Tarte Tatin à la mode was a win around the table. the apple melted in your mouth. the Poire belle Hélène was good but paled in comparison
