If it says 3.5 stars, believe it. I could tell when I walked up to the counter that the girl had an attitude. I smiled and told her it was my first time there. I ordered my food and sat down. She brought me a bowl of soup and said, "Let me know if it's not hot enough." Well, that's not a good sign. You should bring the food hot. and of course, the soup was cold, so I sent it back. She proceeded to wait on 3 to go orders and then brought back the soup, and it was still cold. How is that possible. I asked her about the hot roll that was supposed to come with it, and she said, "Oh , let me check." You have to actually make a real effort to be that unfriendly and give that bad of service. And, of course, they ask for the tip when you pay before you even get served. I gave her a twenty percent tip. I don't like to give bad reviews, but when a person works that hard to make the experience bad, the owner should know. I had never been here even though it has been around for years. Heard they had great sandwiches so gave it a try. Wow! I had the 1/2 tuna sandwich and it was so unique- the perfect amount of mayo and not too gloppy but super flavorful. The carrots (don't question this, it WORKS) gave it great crunch. The side soup (lentil/veggie) is homemade and fantastic. Met the new owner Guy who was super friendly and proud of the establishment. My first impressions upon coming in after driving by plenty of times was that it was a nice, clean-looking restaurant that was recently remodeled. My mood changed when I was told my online order would not be ready for another 10-15 mins after the posted time online. Other people seemed to be waiting for food when I arrived as well. Also, overheard them explain to a group of 6 people that one of the salads someone ordered was not available. I'm not sure why they weren't informed earlier, major pet peeve. Hopefully they can redeem themselves with the food which is reasonably priced. After patiently waiting for close to 30 mins. my order for 1 burrito and a side salad was finally ready. Seems like they have major staffing issues but PLEASE DO NOT have your online ordering system quote a 15 min. pickup timeframe if it's going to take more than double that time for the food to be cooked. Even if it turns out to be the best burrito I've ever eaten it still wouldn't make up for their lack of customer service. Next time I'll take my business across the street to Green Tomato Grill or El Pollo Loco. ***edited this review after eating to add more context*** After eating the shrimp and black bean burrito I can most definitely say I'll never be back. This is pretty much the place to go if you want the best salad that you've ever had in your life! The prices are terrific, the quality and the quantity of food you get is outstanding. The menu goes beyond salads, they offer an array of different unique sandwiches and other specials. It was our first time there but we watched a steady stream of long time loyal customers come in and be greeted by the owners like friends, and we could see why ! The chicken vegetable rice soup was light and flavorful, and the egg salad sandwich was served on the softest most perfect squaw bread. We really enjoyed the home made salad dressings too! For the last couple of months, I've been trying out a new place for lunch. A friend told me about The Greenery Natural Kitchen. They recently went through a change in ownership and redesigned the interior of the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the menu and the food. My favorite menu item is the 1/2 sandwich (turkey and avocado on squaw bread) and 1/2 salad, which includes chips and salsa. Been going here since I was 5 years old! I'm now 25 and still love this place like how I used too. Yes I agree, this is not the most decorated restaurant and may seem outdated, but they have killer salads and sandwiches, and their iced tea and honey mustard dressing is to die for!! It's the perfect place to get lunch during the workweek. My office (pre-Covid, and now since they've re-opened) order from them at least once a week. I hope this place makes it through the end of covid. Keep in mind, people are struggling during covid, and "not well decorated" is not an excuse to rate a business 1 star. I highly recommend this place for take out if you are bothered by the inside, because you are true my missing out. Today, I was in this center to eat Deltaco, And saw the greenery natural kitchen so felt like to eat something healthy I ordered food around 2:40 pm and they close at 3:00 pm for lunch, food was ready close to 3:00, and I asked her that can I seat here and eat for 10 minutes and she said ok. While I was eating and the owner came and said please leave , we are closed. I have never seen this bad customer service in any restaurant. Terrible owner and her service.
