My husband is Nepali and this is our whole family's go-to spot. We frequent Gurkha Kitchen at least once a month -- both in the restaurant and also for takeout. Everything on their menu is great and authentic. We always order a few servings of chicken and buff johl momos. We particularly love the salty/sour sauce that the johl momos come with. We've also tried their Goat Curry, Wai Wai Sadeko, Thakali Thali Goat, and Khasi ko Sekuwa. All delicious! Their mango lassi is also quite delicious and we always grab at least one each time we visit. Staff is always friendly and the food is consistently good. Definitely recommend! read more

Stumbled upon this Nepalese restaurant and glad that we did. The ambience is perfect for a cute date with anyone. The service was quick and immediately assisted. We asked for recommendations and ordered based on it. The Dumplings were so tasty. Piping hot with the mom chutney. Couldn't wait to take a picture but took a photo of Manchurian and Veg Chowmein. Their chicken momo was extremely juicy and fresh, amongst the best I've had. Would say the same for the fried rice. The portion was huge, more like a mountain of rice! The Paneer Chilli was a smaller portion though and the paneer was slightly hard, hence the reduction of a star. read more

Visited on V day. They had some specials but we stuck to regular menu. Chicken was overcooked in the chicken chowmein and it lacked salt as well. The pahadi chicken was delicious though and it went well with garlic naan. We also got thukpa, it had a lot of veggies and was good. the gurkha kitchen was a cute spot! the vibe was much more of a family atmosphere and the staff was nice. a good amount of non-pork options and vegetarian options. we went on a saturday night around dinner time so service was a bit slow but the food was good! we got: chicken chili momo: 5/5 I've had momo before and TGK's momo had thicker, crispier skin than most I've had. so good!!! the thicker skin definitely made it more filling than other dumplings I've had. the chili garlic sauce it was tossed in was delicious! we got it medium spicy and the spice snuck up on us in a good way. also, it was tossed in fresh bell peppers and onions which were delicious. I don't even like bell pepper and I loved theirs thakali thali chicken: 3.5/5 I've never had thakali thali specifically before so I might just not love it. the curry and the lentils were both more watery than I expected and the chicken was a bit dry. people seem to love the thakali thali goat so maybe try that one instead mango lassi: 5/5 yummy and sweet but not too sweet. I rarely leave bad reviews but there are a few issues that need to be addressed. SHRIMP CHOW MEIN-1st appearance it looked great. Nice color, full of veggies but where's the Shrimp??? Closer inspection I noticed the used TINY Shrimp Meat that a chef would have never used. When I say tiny I mean the size of DIME! maybe even smaller. So disappointing. The chow mein had great flavor. Just stay away from ordering the Shrimp option. What a joke! SPRING ROLLS- Prior to ordering I specifically asked my waitress if these were housemade or were they store bought. She said they were made in house so I ordered them. $10 for 5 pieces. Well she lied. These are your most basic, frozen restaurant supply store, Chinese buffet egg rolls that you can buy SERVED WITH KETCHUP!! like wtf? . Literally $25 for a huge box at the restaurant supplier And you lie to the customer and charge $10 per order and can't even serve with sweet and sour sauce? King Egg Roll that makes real in house egg rolls charge $1.90 per egg roll that is twice the size. Stay away from ordering these. SMH. CHILI MOMO- Great flavor. The momo itself lacked authenticity. It tasted like a fried freezer pot sticker tossed in a chili paste sauce and served with veggies. Almost $50 later we left feeling robbed. Do better for your customers. This restaurant is convenient to my home so I order takeout from here often. It's a small homey unpretentious restaurant with great Nepalese cuisine. The food is always ready 15 min after I call it in. Easy and abundant parking. If you need gluten free naan, there is an Indian market next door that sells it in the frozen section. I recommend the butter chicken, tandoori chicken/fish, saag paneer, momos, biryani and pizza. I found the Dal to be a bit watery & bland, adding a little extra salt helped. This place looks tiny from the outside, but it's decently sized inside. They get quite a few pick-up and delivery orders, as well as a consistent flow of customers sitting down to eat. We got the daal makhni, paneer tikka masala, butter chicken, goat curry, and garlic naan. Their saag paneer is amazing too.
