I dined alone at Hampton Social for lunch yesterday. I sat on the outdoor patio and thoroughly enjoyed people watching, the soft breeze and much to my surprise there was live entertainment which lended to the perfect experience. The food and beverages were exceptional, as was the service. Trey/Thomas was my server. He was attentive, thorough in questioning my preferences & provided honest feedback. I particularly appreciated his making eye contact when he spoke and his attention to detail to ensure I had the best dining experience. I have never offered a review, however I felt the restaurant, from the hostesses seating me, the runners, & Trey, all deserved a shout out! ~ Thank you! A solid option for dinner when visiting Naples. Mercato has no shortage of solid dining options, but Hampton Social features a beautiful interior, helpful staff, delicious drinks and flavorful meal options. The tuna poke bowl was delicious and healthy, the braised short rib was a little fatty but very good, and the spicy pipette was spicy indeed if you like red pepper. The Hampton Social in Naples is located inside the Mercato shopping area. We have been here several times and the food and service is always great. The staff is very friendly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Make a reservation cause they book up face. There is live music inside on certain days. There is a large center bar and the restaurant has a modern chic atmosphere There is parking but there is also a valet which cost about $13. read more

I love the ambiance - a big open space that has a nice beachy but elegant feel. Crispy calamari was good. Definitely tasted fresh and I liked the aioli it came with. Salmon poke was just okay. I loved the taro chips and all the toppings but it had a lot of liquid at the bottom of the bowl and I've had better raw salmon. I didn't dislike it, just not my favorite in terms of quality of salmon. Zero proof sparkling rose was really yummy. It smelled like white grape juice but it says note of peach strawberry and pear. Wasn't overly sweet and not super sparkling but love that it comes in a rosé glass. All the zero proof drinks looked really good, I would've loved to try them all. Service was good. Waitress checked in on us multiple times. Seemed well-staffed and everyone was friendly. Would definitely recommend and would like to try some other items on the menu. read more

This review is only concerning my experience in the bar, which was not busy. I planned to have cocktails with some friends. It took a long time for someone to welcome us and take our order. it also took a long time to get our drinks. To cap the night off, after trying to get the attention of the bartender, I ended up going behind the bar and asked him for my tab. A waitress hearing my frustration, said she would take care of me. As longtime customers, we are disappointed now. On a Friday during season, they only had 1 server for the entire restaurant of over a dozen tables. It took 15 minutes for a host to seat us and the waitress never came to our table. Sitting at a table not greeted for over 10 minutes, we had to walk out and go to The 239 next door, which was busy but served us right away and had excellent service. We have gone to Hampton Social FOR YEARS, but at this point I don't know how it will stay in business like this. No one is going to sit at a table with no water and watch 1 waitress run around serving 12-15 tables alone. Sad. We can't recommend this place anymore because I would never want to send someone to a restaurant that is so severely understaffed. read more

**Review of Hampton Social** We have always loved Hampton Social for its great atmosphere, delicious food, and excellent service. It's been a go-to spot for us, we have raved about it to all our friends and visitors of Naples, we have been happy to return time and again. However, our recent visit left us with a bitter taste. We were disappointed to find a 3% charge added to our bill, supposedly to offset the rise in food costs. While we understand that costs are rising for everyone, we were frustrated to learn that this upcharge hasn't been used to increase wages for the hardworking servers and bartenders who make the dining experience so enjoyable. Moreover, this charge wasn't disclosed ahead of time, and we only noticed it after we had already received the bill. Transparency is key, especially when it comes to charges that affect customers directly. It would have been better if this had been communicated upfront, allowing diners to make an informed choice. I hope Hampton Social reconsiders how they implement and communicate such charges in the future. None of the other restaurants have done this, thankfully there are a ton of restaurants to choose from, capital grill, turtle club, ritz... the list is long. read more

We were there for dinner and the staff ...from the girls checking us in, to our waitress, to the people delivering food... were fantastic! The manager...Susan Bianchi...was walking around stopping at tables to check how every thing was, helped out bringing food, and really cared about the service of the restaurant. We were in Naples for my bday weekend/Memorial Day weekend. After spending a few days in the hotel, we wanted to venture out for dinner. So I asked my good friend Yelp for help. And Yelp sure did deliver! The Hampton Social is located in the upscale outdoor mall Mercato. The restaurant offers free valet and there's free street parking. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and was very kid-friendly. The atmosphere was great! They also have a bar area for those who only come for drinks. Our waitress was really nice and food was delivered quickly. My son had the Four Cheese Pizza - so yummy. I had the salmon and my husband the short rib. Both were great. I asked for some extra of their yummy miso sauce for the salmon. We shared the banana cream pie for dessert. Really yummy with lots of whipped cream. The menu is a good mix of standard American food such as burgers and salads but includes a healthy mix of sea food and pasta. We ordered the Gatsby G+T which was very good. Parking can be a little difficult since the location of Hampton Social is tucked away in the back of the town center. Ambiance is spectacular and there's plenty. Of photo opps both inside and outside of restaurant. Checking in: we were a large party and had reservations from weeks ago. Once arrived (well ahead) of our reservation we requested to be sat outdoors and we were told that wasn't available due to its first come first serve. So, one the min amount of our party arrived we were sat indoors. The issue with this is that it felt hot and humid indoors. Service: our server was friendly and greeted us promptly. She took our beverage order and they did come out fairly quickly. We had also placed an order for several appetizers and they were time out perfectly and delivered to us once we sat. Food: the appetizers we ordered were Brussel sprouts, goat cheese dip with bread and monkey bread. All of these were excellent and highly recommended. As for main course we ordered several items that included avocado toast, shrimp tacos, breakfast sandwich, breakfast bowl and more. These were OK. One of the bowls came incomplete (missing a main ingredient) so we had to wait for them to make it correctly. Also, when food came out the waitstaff/buspersons never came by to clear our plates from our appetizers. We had piled them in the center of table so that we could have room to eat but it was little uncomfortable. Bill/Check: When we were done with our meals we were asked if we wanted individual checks which was convenient for those needing to pay separately. However on one of the bills they had overcharged us for an appetizer which we had noticed and they thankfully rectified. We also noticed that since we were a large party approx 8-10 they added a gratuity charge 18% which we didn't have an issues with since we understand servers depend on tips. We had just hoped that we would have received service that merited 18% but instead it felt like that felt short since we were left with piles of plates during our meals and there were some errors in our meals plus in our bill. If you're looking for great service and some creative recipes, you need to try the Hampton Social. The atmosphere is light and airy and open; welcomes you inside. The menu isn't expansive but hits all the important points. Raw oysters from both coasts to satisfy a taste for sweet or briny. An octopus app served in a light cream sauce that was spectacular. As an entree we ended up sharing a Scallop dish served over a risotto. Most excellent. Rich and creamy to accompany some lightly seared scallops. The wine selection is limited but you can tell they've put thought to the offerings so odds are you'll find something to your liking and in your price range. I'm a fan of the Bonanza's so that was bottle of choice. Ended the night by sharing a blueberry bread pudding. I'll be spending extra time on the bike this week but so worth it!! I really love coming here. I am originally from Long Island and the east end of Long Island is near and dear to my heart and to see it decorated with all east end Long Island names and the vineyard feel, it's a great place to go when I just need a taste of home. Speaking of taste the food and drinks are AMAZING. We've been there a few times and each time the staff as been extremely attentive and have made us feel welcome. The only reason why I knocked a star off is because I feel the prices are a little high. 10 out of 10 experience. Amy took care of us, she was nice and bubbly! Service was quick and friendly. We started with a dozen east coast oysters that were delicious and fast! I ordered the lighthouse which is a Zero proof cocktail. The cocktail was light and refreshing and not too sweet, very well balanced. The octopus was cooked perfectly and the potatoes with it were TO DIE FOR! The calamari that followed was good, for sure not a main event but something nice to nibble on for the table. The skirt steak was awesome, a little overcooked but still tender. The CORN on the skirt steak was probably one of my favorite things we had. It was creamy and just the perfect amount of spice. Brussels sprouts were crispy and flavorful. The ambience was nice, it's beautiful decorated, the lighting and music was perfect on a quiet Tuesday night. We ended the night with a banana cream pie and doughnut drops. The coconut cream pie was top 10 one of the best desserts I've had EVER. The Hampton Social at Mercato continues to deteriorate in many ways. The drinks are small (manhattan in coupe glass only half full), the menu has been paired back, and the service is not good. The bar: they do not carry the standard big cubes for a proper cocktail on the rocks, just bar ice which waters down the drink. Others in our group had similar thoughts on the cocktails, either small or watered down. They also only had a small selection of beers on tap as three taps were out of service. Bar Tulia cocktails puts this place to shame. Two of the food items that were always popular, the pasta with sausage and the crispy chicken sandwich were removed and not replaced with anything close. They menu has become quite small, and our group struggled to find something for everyone. My shrimp tacos of three contained three tiny shrimp in each tortilla which did not adequately fill the taco. It was mostly cabbage filler. All for $26. The burger was ok, nothing special. Probably the best item was the bang, bang chicken app. The five of us were seated at the bar and asked for a table which they said was no issue since the place was only a third filled. Twenty minutes later when we were ready to sit it was hard to get our bar bill and then the staff never bothered to prep our table, so it had to be cleared and cleaned. The table had been sitting empty for some time. Once seated, the service was rushed and sporadic. By the end they were pushing us out the door. This is usually the first restaurant in Mercato to close so be aware of this making making a reservation. We were a party of five and asked to split the bill 50/50 at both the bar and when we sat down. When the checks arrived only one of the two bills was itemized, and the other person just received the total for half so you could not verify what you were being charge for. As it turns out, they added an 18% gratuity for both the bar and dinner bills and the person receiving the itemized bill may have seen it but not the other. Very sneaky and unprofessional. We have been coming here since it opened. Will we be back, doubtful. Too many better restaurants for food, drinks and service in Naples and the Mercato continues to add new establishments as well. Considering how early this restaurant clears out and the lack of value it would not be unconceivable that this place only has a short time left. I would give it 12 to 24 months. read more

This was our first visit to Hampton Social, a dinner for two on a Saturday evening. The space is very open, modern and inviting, although they were playing the background music too loudly for our taste. The drinks and food were very good - we had the short rib and the smash burger. The service was efficient, almost too efficient - everything seemed a little hurry-up, rushing us through cocktails to order. Be advised: lack of parking is an issue in this plaza, and the valet doesn't start until around 8pm. read more
