I used to go to the Hampton Social all the time then they changed the happy hour menu took off some of my favorite foods. I was told they wanted all the restaurants to have the same menu. I went for lunch yesterday with a friend we had a nice lunch food and drinks were great service also was great but when the check came the 18% gratuity was added, and the waiter never mentioned it to us. The only reason I looked at the bill was because I thought it seemed a little high for lunch for two people $160. We did each have three or four drinks but we had the $25 lunch special. Then I noticed the gratuity on the bottom and there were only two of us not a large table we were sitting at the bar. The bartender informed me that it's now being added to every check. I understand you want to add a gratuity but honestly, I think you should tell the patron because sometimes we're not paying attention and then we go ahead and tip 20 or 25% on top of that which now is 50% because we're not paying attention I guess that's on us but honestly, I do not expect a gratuity added to a party of two people sitting at a bar having lunch read more

This was our first visit to Hampton Social, a dinner for two on a Saturday evening. The space is very open, modern and inviting, although they were playing the background music too loudly for our taste. The drinks and food were very good - we had the short rib and the smash burger. The service was efficient, almost too efficient - everything seemed a little hurry-up, rushing us through cocktails to order. I love the ambiance - a big open space that has a nice beachy but elegant feel. Crispy calamari was good. Definitely tasted fresh and I liked the aioli it came with. Salmon poke was just okay. I loved the taro chips and all the toppings but it had a lot of liquid at the bottom of the bowl and I've had better raw salmon. I didn't dislike it, just not my favorite in terms of quality of salmon. Zero proof sparkling rose was really yummy. It smelled like white grape juice but it says note of peach strawberry and pear. Wasn't overly sweet and not super sparkling but love that it comes in a rosé glass. All the zero proof drinks looked really good, I would've loved to try them all. Service was good. Had a fantastic brunch here. Lots of great food options. The decor is beautiful plus they had live music. Staff was friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the octopus. First visit to the Mercato and there appears to be many good restaurants here. I sat outside although it was a bit chilly this evening. I ordered a simple lobster roll and it came with house chips, which I subbed out for french fries. The lobster roll was very good and the fries were average (they definitely should serve hand cut fries). The lobster roll was listed at "market price" on the menu, still I was shocked when I received my bill and this small sandwich was $26! Upgrading the fries was an additional two dollars and there was a 4% health and safety tax, which is utterly laughable! The restaurant itself is nice and has a great vibe and the food was fine. However, I don't like feeling gouged on price and I definitely don't like to be unjustly taxed. Hampton social is great for more of an upbeat dinner. The star of the meal was the braised short rib with polenta. It was tender and the polenta was done well. The roasted chicken had good flavor as well and was served with potatoes. The clam chowder registered as more of a sweet corn chowder than a New England clam chowder. Today is Sunday 519/2024. Ordered a crab cake Benedict and a steak and eggs brunch. I asked for a substitute for the cauliflower rice to be possibly replaced by some French Toast. Not a big deal but the chef stated it would be an up charge as if the brunch was not being charged at a good price in any case. I was just surprised by the attitude of not pleasing the customer but sticking it to us. I declined and stated my objection to additional charge only to have my service significantly delayed as a form rebellion. The meals were good but the service was adequate due to my request, and the toast that accompanied the meal was from the prior day. Chewy as hell. Had a great brunch last Sunday on the big, airy patio overlooking the uncrowded parking lot. Sasha and the rest of the staff were quick to provide service when we wanted it, and let us linger over our conversations and listen to the live music being played in the main restaurant. This restaurant is a beautiful gem inside the Mercato plaza. Our waiter was friendly & knowledgeable of the menu. Our food was delicious. We ordered calamari to start as an appetizer but somehow it got lost and our entrees came out before but the waiter brought the calamari out and said it was taken care of. That was very nice of him. My only complaint about dinning outside late is that the restaurant had a group of wild & loud people who was walking out with their wine glasses and yelling to each other while one group was outside the rope lines. I know staff saw the intoxicated people yet didn't address them. Could have been a simple hey you can't take the drinks off our property drink it here or leave it and have a good night. Visited The Hampton Social for first time a few Sundays ago and so glad we did. We dined on their brunch menu and all we ordered was top notch. We had their Frose from the bar and they were the perfect vessel to quench our insatiable thirst from the almost 100 degree weather outside. We started out with their scallop ceviche and tuna tartare which were both plentiful as well as truly delicious. As entrees we had the Salmon Ceasar salad and the Tuna Poke bowl. Both were huge hits with us. Service was truly excellent. Our server Jonathan was very attentive to our needs and quite conversational. I honestly don't have that much to say about the place- it is desperately trying to create an 'elite' scene in a bland warehouse space in an overrated shopping center (their high end here is Tommy Bahama and Nordstrom Rack) and because you have checked into social media under the restaurant guise 'Hampton Social' you will then be charged $20 for a bloody mary- and get this- it's tomato juice mixed with the Zing Bloody Mary mix from Walmart (6.99). I cannot testify as to the quality of the food, maybe it's good, maybe it's not- my energy had so completely drained by the end of my drink that I just wanted to leave. It's the perfect place for a very picturesque girls brunch if you're looking for something like that! The waitstaff and host stand was very accommodating, even when most of our party was an hour late for our reservation. All of the food came out very quickly too!! The lobster roll is super melt in your mouth, but it is on the pricier side, for not a lot of food: $34. The truffle fries were a side and although they were delicious, I'm not sure I would pay $12 for them again!! The chicken stack was a very interesting combination and I liked it for the most part. The French toast was cooked to perfection, the egg was on point, the gravy was very chunky (not my style) and the chicken wasn't very juicy or melt-in-your mouth. It was just okay. I was surprised to see this place only had a 4.2 rating. My experience was outstanding, specially during this times of COVID-19. I would recommend this place to anyone. Upon arrival we were taken our temperature as a precaution, I hadn't seen this in other establishments but I thought it is a great preventive step. All staff was wearing face masks at all times and tables were following distancing practices. Not to mention the menus were all digital which comes to show how much this place cares about the safety of their staff and of others. The place is very nicely decorated, very comfortable sitting areas in both the indoor and outdoor sections. The nice music also made for a great ambience. The service members were very attentive, food came in very quickly and the manager stopped by to ask us about our food. Lastly, the food was very appetizing. Loved this little spot! Had live music for brunch which i feel is such a nice addition when eating at any establishment (we need more of these places). This place is super clean also. Now to the food i can't say enough. Everything we had was amazing. I recommend the pecan pancakes first off. The drinks that they prepare there are so refreshing and tasty. I do feel like the drinks are over priced but it's like that everyone in naples. They do need to tone that down. Drinks are like $16 and up. (Again most places in Naples).
