We have been coming to this restaurant since it opened and it used to be one of our favorites, sadly every-time we come it gets worse and worse to the point we will never come back. It took 15 minutes to get edamame's and my cocktaiil before I had to get up and ask the manager what was going on. She never did come to the table to apologize or see how the meal was going after that. The rolls did not taste fresh, we ordered a $25 miso salmon meal that was clearly a thin frozen fish filet and tasted awful. The place is so run down and dirty it's scary thinking what the kitchen looks like. Torn seats, pealing tables, trash crammed in the sides of the booth. What was once a high scale delicious place to eat, and still charges like it is, is now a run down dirty sad excuse for even fast food quality and service. Happy hour. The good: super fast! My specialty cocktail was delicious and half price. The bad: I ordered a fish roll and it literally came out in one minute so I know it was pre-rolled and tasted at least a day old. The tempura was lightly battered and yet still greasy. The cucumber salad was one note vinegar. The server was quick and courteous. Happy hours are supposed to sell you on the food so you come back for dinner and I won't be doing that. read more

Tables need to be resurfaced (varnish wearing off), booth seating is ripped and covered with thin material, bathroom smells awful and not very clean. This place has the best sushi in town! Been here a few times and tried a couple different sushi rolls. They have a great Peach martini that is delicious. Would not recommend the Bahama Mama drink as that was a bit off but that may have just been the bar tender that night. The staff is friendly and on point. Most of the reviews are VERY old so I hope this helps. Solid 4 star experience overall. The selection here was larger than most places for the rolls, and they were not like many places where the Rolls are simply a variation of the same "tempura Shrimp inside with something on the outside" (hate those places!) Rolls we ate: Aspen, Avalanche, Lavish, Cosmopolitan ... all were solid 4 stars for freshness, variety, size, quality. no issues at all! We also had the veg tempura app, also 4 stars. Standard tempura done proper, decent price ($8) We did have a few small surprises of the meh kind... 1. Miso soup was $4 for a very small bowl. Huh!? No thanks... most places they are $2 or even free with a few rolls. 2. They did not have any other soup on the menu. That is odd for a Japanese restraint. read more

And when they brought it out to us, it had coconut flakes on top of it.. which wasn't on the menu and my friend is allergic. If i hadn't had ate one first.. she would've. So we kindly told the waitress and I told her I didn't see on the menu that it had coconut flakes and she said "Right!" so why were there coconut flakes? Second thing, unfortunately, is that when they brought the new batch out... it had less sushi than we got the first time and we had only eaten one off the first batch and this second batch looked like more than half was take off and tried to put it on a fancy board to disguise this fact. I've been coming here for 5 years so this review is way overdue. With that being said, this place is ALWAYS consistent in terms of their customer service and food quality. They have plenty of vegetarian options and making things here gluten free is no problem. The prices are also very good for Japanese food and especially the sushi. For starters we had the lettuce wraps, dumplings and miso soup. The lettuce wraps were subpar at best. The mixture had sweet potatoes in it, and something tasted off. It wasn't very appealing at all. The dumplings were okay, and the miso soup was good. Husband ordered a Szechuan chicken dish. He said it was good but nothing to really brag about. I ordered a ton of sushi because I'm indecisive: the lobster roll, the lion king roll, and the peppered tuna roll. All three tasted delicious to me, but it was wayyy too much food for one gal. Thank goodness for choosing rolls that would still taste great after sitting in the fridge for a bit! This place was good and fun and new for us as this was our first visit here, but it didn't wow us. The sushi was good, but I've had good sushi at a ton of places. Celebrated a birthday here recently and honestly I was expecting terrible service and crappy food based on the reviews, but it was actually decent. Classy ambiance with super comfortable booth seating and the service was on point! She was quick to refill my water when it was low, promptly brought my eel sauce after it was requested, and no questions or need to remind her what I ordered when I asked for my tab. 5 stars for service and 3 for food. I ordered the "neighamari" and vegetable roll and both delicious. The eel sauce was more of a paste which is different than how I've ever had it. I tried the shrimp tempura roll and the end piece was just straight up tempura and no shrimp. Usually end pieces are the best and the meatiest! Instant regret. We ordered crunchy spring rolls as an appetizer and the inside was all mushy and super greasy. Another instant regret ~ waste of calories! My friend loves this place so I am sure we'll be back, but I'll be sticking with my two rolls next time lol read more

We ordered the cabana roll, buffalo roll, edamame, jalapeño yellow tail, miso soup and velvet kimono. We asked for garlic with edamame, and it came with garlic powder. So don't expect anything fancy there. The cabana roll comes with fish eggs all over, we didn't expect that. We decided to try that instead of shrimp tempura. It wasn't my favorite roll. I will stick with shrimp tempura next time. The buffalo roll was popular at our table. I recommend that for people that generally don't like raw sushi. The velvet kimono didn't have much toffee throughout. It was a very heavy chocolate cake. Overall, it was just okay. Some tweaks here and there and it could be better. read more

To start I feel as though we were discriminated against for having a service dog. We were told we were only allowed to sit on the left side of the outdoor patio. I would not recommend a service dog team come here for food. Pros: The parking lot is adequate for the restaurant. We were immediately greeted upon entering and seated right away. They have a full bar with some Pepsi products. The menu is through a QR scan code, which wasn't a big deal. I actually prefer this way over a standard menu. I ordered the Siam street noodles with beef and my husband ordered the bento box 1, along with a spider roll. Food was pretty good, nothing to write home about. The spider roll had large pieces of which I prefer a bit smaller to fit in my mouth. Cons: Either the server was really busy or we were in the black hole of the seating arrangements. But it took a good hour to get appetizers to the table, I understand they may have been busy inside, but please keep your customers updated on the status of food. A good 2 hours in and no main entree. We finally got our main entree in several trips and it took awhile to get drinks reordered. Recommended? No. There are better sushi restaurants around that I would have preferred to go to. But it also wasn't by choice. read more

My friends ordered these : * BSCR (Baked Scallop California Roll) California Roll topped with baked scallop, spicy Sumo sauce, tobiko and green onions. * Brooklyn Roll ~ Spicy tuna, inari, avocado, and cucumber topped with spicy crab, tobiko and eel sauce. and ordered this for her kids : * one of the mini bento boxes kids meal Since they have been here several times, they like what they have and have been eating and this is one of their favorite Sushi hangout since they live in this part of the neighborhood. As for me I ordered these : * Baked Green Mussels * Unagi Nigiri * Ama Ebi Nigiri * Kani Nigiri * Hokkigai Nigiri * Hotatecai Nigiri It took them about 30 minutes or so for all our orders to be sent to our table. All in all I AM NOT WOW by the nigiri that I ordered. I feel that the sushi is not as fresh as I am used to as compared to other sushi restaurants that I have been.
