Please be advised that they have a limited menu after 9 pm. We went specifically something that we saw on Yelp, but they didn't have it-- I get it, just didn't know. The actual (day) menu says that it is available after 9. Anyway... Nice people, the person singing live did very well, yummy food and alcohol! YASSSSSSS! I found the food superb! I ordered two different tacos (a benefit of the late night menu). I got one chicken (A-OK) taco and one squash and black bean (A+++ 5 star) with salsa which had the perfect taste and spice. My boyfriend got a mushroom burger (see photo), which was a great combination of ingredients and very nice in size. I ordered a knight landlord, or with a name similar, and it has "okay" The bartender did well with it so A+ for the drink, but it wasn't my favorite due to the flavor. One Tip: The picnic style tables are smaller than most and if you try to cross your legs you may hit this metal bracket, which is sharp and will cut your leg as it did mine. I've been to the haul a handful of times throughout the years. When they first opened it was an awesome establishment. Great food. Great service. The past few years the quality has done an extreme decline. The chicken tacos used to be my favorite but now the meat is not prepared well. It's gross. They leave bits of fat and bone and skin. Absolutely horrendous. I haven't even been able to eat them. I pick through and find maybe 5 bites of edible meat. The service is terrible. These people seem to hate their job. Made me and my group feel like a burden. Makes me sad to see what used to be a great restaurant crash and burn. read more

This place is great! We had the Taco specials, yum! Also the pizzas were good; Margarita & the combo. The pizzas are cooked in their huge imported wood fired oven! The falafel wrap was delicious, the Chicken Sandwich was also great. I loved the house made sodas, the Blackberry Cinnamon was my favorite. I also enjoyed the Perry Cider. Staff is super friendly. I waited way too long for a too salty and cooked wrong burger. This burger was 12 damn dollars! Sonic's $4 burger is better. I will never eat there again. Waste of time and money. read more

The Haul was one of the first places I ever ate out at in Grants Pass. The food is consistently good. They seem to have had good systems in place throughout the changes of the pandemic and roll with the punches. I've had the pizza, garlic fries, burger, and veggie burger with side salad. It's totally worth it to save room for dessert, especially the churros! read more

He happy hour is pretty awesome here and the beer selection is great with both house and guest tap (Pfriem, Fort George...) selections (house beers only for happy hour). A beer and a taco is $5 with extra tacos $2. Vegan options are available, including butternut squash tacos and falafel sandwich. Outdoor patio is nice in the summer. Wood fired pizza appears to be the house specialty. read more

Found them after a day of hiking in the heat and it was just the best late lunch. The Cuban sandwich was yummy and crispy. My husband has the Philly and he said it was the best sourdough bun he had in a sandwich in awhile, he asks the server if they maid their bread there and he actually told us that they make a lot of the stuff on their menu from scratch and it showed. read more

Score represents a 3 for the Chardonnay - but in their defense I am a California girl with California Chardonnay taste 5 for the Al Fungi Pizza - amazing! Simple minimalist ingredients produced an extraordinary pizza. Hand made thin crust, cheese, mushrooms, and truffle oil. Topped with arugula which at first I pulled off but the spiciness of the greens offset the fat and rounded it out perfectly. I always enjoy coming here. Great food and good selection of drinks. They haven't always been 100% on their cook times on the pizzas but overall they are very consistent and are super responsive if something isn't just right. My husband and I get the vegan pizza and just add cheese and the salad (their basic house I think) and it is always perfect. And the staff is always friendly and welcoming and even when they are slammed they are hustling. Always a pleasant visit for us. read more

5 star food, but the service detracts from the experience. The vegan taco is truly exquisite. The cactus gives it a sweet, smoky, savory deliciousness I've never had before, and the aioli combined with the slightly blackened corn and beans creates a total palate hit. Don't get me started on the pickled onions. They are insane! My husband had the falafel sandwich, which was great. It's not gluten-free due to the Pita bread, and the staff informed me the falafel patties are fried in oil used for gluten-containing foods. Regardless of the minor oil issue, I asked to have the falafel made into tacos so as not to get a total gluten gut bomb. Without a second thought or an ounce of customer service, the staff refused to do it. They fervently argued with me and turned away my request and therefore my money. Their reason: the kitchen is set up for expediency. Well, your expediency just lost you a customer, as I believe in quality over quantity. Not even the heavenly vegan taco can make up for such a lack of service. What a shame. Another, typically Southern Oregon dining experience with an unaccomodating staff. It's like this region is trying to keep my money in my pocket. If it's benevolence, then fine, but I think rather it's just a matter of needing an attitude adjustment across the state. read more

Exceptional Eats. Food is fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is primarily comprised of locals with dreadlocks, tattoos, beards and overalls. Hipster central and amazingly friendly and hospitable. We ordered a traditional Pepperoni Pizza, from a brick oven.. the cheese was piping hot with fluffy crust lightly dusted with cornmeal. The Pulled Pork sandwich is packed with the perfect mix of savory but sweet bbq flavor. Summer Frozen drinks, we're of interesting flavor selections but we ordered the recommended Mango Margarita which was refreshing. Would have been a 5-Star rating without the pestering flies trying to share my meal- an installation of fans at the entry might help to alleviate the issue. read more

We are passing through Grants Pass and the hotel referred us here. The staff was wonderful! I loved the option for seltzer water or flat. When the food showed up the portions were insane! The wings and the Brussels looked amazing- unfortunately the flavor did not keep up. The wings, suppose to be Korean-had no real flavor, no heat and were so tough. The brussel sprouts were equally bland. We tried to power through and gave up and left. Bummed for sure. read more

Super friendly, very fresh quality food. They make everything Fresh instead of using things most restaurants would buy bottled or canned. I had the fish and chips which is new to the menu and it was fabulous. Homemade tartar sauce that'll make you never eat out of the bottle again. And they were super nice. Winter squash tacos with a side of Cole slaw. The flavor was really good, and vegan! It just came with the tacos at $9 and the portion of slaw was $2. Unfortunately the service was not great... the waitress delivered our dishes about 10 mins apart which was kind of awkward. Also she gave me mine in a to go box and when I told her it wasn't to go, she replied "oh, okay" and that was it. I think the food is worth a 2nd visit but so far that's what I've got. read more

Drove from Central Point to Grants Pass on a Saturday Afternoon to hit this place up in Grants Pass with a friend of mine about a month ago. Been wanting to try it for a while. Walked in and the bartender/ server was helping someone at the counter. When she was done she started making their drinks. Never said anything to us. Not hello, be right with you, how are you doing- Nothing! We stood there for at least 5 minutes waiting to for anyone to acknowledge our existence! Never happened. Incredibly disappointing. So we left. Walked over to The Horny Goat and were greeted immediately and were drinking a beer within 2-3 minutes of our arrival. Will never go to The Haul again and we are in GP twice a month! read more

We had the wings here and they were awesome. Highly recommend them if you're in need of a snack. I liked the beer selection, but I do not love the manner in which you get the beer or the smaller glasses. In this setup if you want another beer, which who doesn't want another, you go stand back in line. The line with one guy running the counter didn't move super quick. Overall enjoyed this spot and will come back when in GP. read more
