Tartar sauce was yummy. Reuben was definitely not made with meat roasted in-house or anything. Just the kind of sandwich we could make at home. It was fine. Just not great. Been to too many Irish pubs with REALLLLLY great food to return unless you were heading out just for a drink and some nice company. I might go back for that. We absolutely love Henry McCarty's and it has quickly become one of our favorite spots in Fort Worth. The atmosphere is fun -- darker & cozy -- but still very welcoming. We've noticed plenty of families dining there too, so it really works for different occasions. The chicken wings are incredible and something we order almost every time. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The Jamason burger is also phenomenal -- truly a standout dish. For appetizers, we love PRETZEL -- simple but so good. They also have a great wine selection to pair with dinner. ALL staff is friendly and consistently take great care of us. The service attentive without being overbearing. Valet parking right next door and free - makes it super convenient or you can park in any of the garages and get the validation that it's good for a few hours. We went here on the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day to get an Irish breakfast. The service was great and fast and answered all of our questions. I ordered the Irish breakfast and it was more than enough food and the sausage and eggs were great. I was surprised that the toast tasted pretty good. The burger was huge. My mother ordered that and my sister-in-law were the fish and chips and that looked amazing. This place is just like the Trinity restaurant or Irish pub they used to be across the street. It's definitely owned by the same people, but the ambience is better here and has big open windows. We also got the spicy cheese curds and they were also really good. We came down for Corned Beef for St Patrick's Day. They had a limited menu, but that's ok. The restaurant is large, with two dining rooms. They have lots of fun decor, especially decorated for St Patrick's Day. The service is friendly and helpful. We're moving to this neighborhood soon so wanted to check out the local nightlife, and man was this place a find. Good casual atmosphere, great place to watch the game, and friendly servers who balance making you feel welcome, and like a friend coming into their living room - while also being prompt in getting us everything we needed. Good people, good vibes, good drinks. If you're not a beer drinker, there's plenty of specialty cocktail options, which was a nice surprise that you don't always see in a pub. I've been here twice this past week. Both times service was excellent and food was tasty. We were with a large group on one trip and this was handled efficiently by the server and our bills were correct. I took one star off because my sandwich, while very good, was not as described in the menu. There are TVs everywhere, but not loud music so it was easy to talk with our table. read more

The blueberry ginger mule was delicious. Not only was the service excellent inside, but the staff also went above and beyond by warning us we were about to get a parking ticket. Tim, our server was great. He explained menu items in great detail. We could have eaten from the brunch menu and I'd like to go back again on Sunday and try it. We ordered the pretzel appetizer. It was great. If later in the day I would have eaten it with a Smithwick's which was available on draft. My wife ate mussels and there were enough left over for another meal. I ordered the Monte Cristo with French fries. I brought half of the sandwich home. Our daughter ordered the pub curry which she said was great. It wasn't obnoxiously noisy, although I'm sure that is subject to change depending on the day of the week and time of day that you go. (I went for lunch on a Monday afternoon.) The food and drinks were FANTASTIC. I would recommend their Irish nachos and the shepherds pie. I would like to thank our server for being so thoughtful as to bring me an entire tray of little sugar packets when I commented that the tea wasn't sweet enough for my taste. Most places only ever bring you a couple which annoys me because ya know...it's Texas. We like a little tea with our sugar. They had a spacious patio for outdoor seating.
