If I could give 0 stars I would. Went to buy new powertools for my dads birthday and instead of employees asking if I need help was told that the tool area I was in would be closed in 10 min. Same employee then began following me around store after. Even when I was at check out. Said employee and blonde manager (I assume) was there. Whole experience at this homedepot was terrible. Regret spending over 300 on power tools there today for a terrible experience. The only good thing was that cashiers were willing to help me purchase extra protection for the powertools . read more

We have a very difficult time getting customer service at this location, however the 5 stars are for Joe in Gardening and Joseph in lumber. We came into the nursery section for a houseplant, and Joe absolutely went above and beyond in helping us design a plant, pot, and soil combo. Joseph in lumber helped us cut a large piece of grass carpet that the machine would not accommodate. Every employee said they would not help us, until Joseph and my husband worked together to cut the carpet manually. Thank you to Joe and Joseph for making our experiences so positive! read more

This review is strictly regarding the service. I've been here multiple times regarding the SAME thing. The employees here are so damn lazy. Today I was looking for anchors and I asked a man for help and to see if the one I chose was the correct size for the screw thing. (Don't mind my verbiage. God only knows in handy manny) he basically looked at the anchors and told me it's he wrong size and POINTED to where I could find it vs walking me there and helping me find the correct size. Mind you, the aisle he was pointing to was kiddie corner from where we were standing. Then I had to get a wooden rod to use as a curtain rod/room divider. The guy who helped me measured the width of the rod to see if it would go into the hole of the wall anchors (whatever it's called). Basically he didn't measure it correctly so after he cut it, after I drove it home... the rod was too wide!!! Therefore my trip, once again, was a fail. Oh and also the lady at customer service told me to go to the pvc area to find the guy who "should" be there to help me but I walked through the store to find NO ONE!!!! She should've called someone over the PA or had them come to the customer service desk and walk w me to the area. Worst customer service and employees here. Lazy, rude, and don't know what they're doing. Unless u know what u want and can get in and out, don't bother coming here looking for help. I do want to say thanks to the cute little asian lady at the cashier in the garden dept who checked me out and also the little old lady who greeted me as I walked into the garden. I was walking to check out and an employee asked if they could help me. I said yes. They walked me to a cash register but then left (so the only employee at the cash register left). I thought they'd come back, but they were just chatting with another employee at another cash register. A second employee asked if I needed help, I let them know someone said they would help me but walked away. The second employee did nothing as well. There still wasn't an employee at the cash register, so I walked to a different cash register. Now there were 3 of us waiting in line at the cash register ... and 3 employees (including the first 2 employees) standing nearby seemingly doing nothing except chatting with each other, the whole time. If there are that many employees not serving the consumers or the business, it seems like it would be a good idea to put 1 employee at the front door to help and 2 at the cash registers to help. read more

The associate named Austin at Hardware was extremely knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and friendly. Employees are very rude. Needed help finding a scraper I asked two employees. First was (white, buzzed hair, young male in power tools) he didn't seem interested in talking to me. Kept looking at tools that he was fiddling with. He told me he thinks the scrapers are in the paint department. With no knowledge in where the paint is at he nodded north. He looked down and up at me, I felt judged. The second guy (curly hair) in paint actually told me directions but the directions were lead to paint tools with no scraper in sight. My girlfriend and I recently visited this location and were completely impressed with the staff. They were helpful, accommodating, and friendly (even when some of y'all "I hate complying to social distancing and health guidelines" were being rude). A couple really great things happened with the staff: 1. We were looking for cinder blocks when an employee had notified us the variety we were in search of were found outside. He and another associate were kind enough to load up a flat cart (of about 30 or so) and bring them back to us inside so we could compare with the other varieties. 2. We happened to spot a sale on a miter saw, but unfortunately they were sold out of the specific one we were looking for. The store manager wanted us to go home with a saw for our project and honored the sale price of the sold out saw for a comparable model (which actually saved us a decent amount of money). We were so thrilled. This location isn't the closest location to our home, but we will be making this our primary store after this visit. read more

This praise for Brandon in customer service is long overdue. In spring of 2023 we were trying to get our remodel project underway. Everything was dependent on something else so when our flooring delivery was delayed because of a problem with the delivery truck, it meant installation was going to have to be rescheduled(I think for the second time). That postponement would have meant other things would have been pushed out as well. When we realized that the materials were actually on a pallet at the store, we tried to figure out a way to fit them in our car. When that didn't make sense, we tried to rent a truck from Home Depot. When the computer would not take the truck reservation, Brandon made the executive decision that he would be the one to get the flooring delivered. He stopped trying to input our information in the rental application and confirmed our information for his personal delivery. He made us feel like we were the most important people in the moment. He just made it happen. He is such a gem of a human and I am sure we are not alone in getting special treatment as he just exudes amazing customer service. Thanks to Brandon, we got the flooring and all of the dominoes fell into place for the rest of our projects. We are forever grateful for his kindness and thoughtfulness. When you first walk in, you'll find yourself in a grand-foyer-type area so you can actually see where you might want to head to right away. extremely clean and friendly staff, I was able to get in and out very quickly. Had just cleaned the furnace and after turning it on felt a smell opened the unit to find a burnt out transformer. Ordered this from Home Depot and the unit was delivered free to local home depot. Went there to pick up and the web orders were stored by the last names . Loved the experience it was very easy better then e-bay or Amazon. The packing was professionally done and included a return receipt. The furnace fired up and because I was impressed I came back home and ordered a new thermostat as the old one was causing the furnace to cycle frequently. read more

Spoke to a cashier name DOTTI, As she was the one checking us out my husband is a veteran and wanted to have them scan his veteran discount card she declined stating that we would have to do it online. She also stated that This took effect in December which we knew nothing about. Do not buy blinds from Home Depot. My experience has been exhausting and never ending. Orders that take 6 weeks to arrive. Orders are incorrect and then have to be reordered, taking an additional 6 weeks. People that say will call you back, but never do. I thought the days of going the extra mile and actually caring about your job (especially in the often thankless retail sector of business) was as extinct, as the dinosaurs. Well I was pleasantly surprised by Isaiah Westre. He works primarily in the lumber, although I've seen him in other departments. He is always assisting and helping customers in your Brea location. My first in-counter Isaiah saw me struggling to load plywood onto my cart and immediately came to my assistance. I would general say thanks and that would be it. But I have been back several times so I know it's not a fluke. He's ALWAYS kind, helpful and professional. One trip he was on his lunch break and saw that I had a large load. He walked me out to my car. He then assisted me with loading my materials, into my car. He never asked for anything in return. He is a true asset to your company. I just hope you recognize how special he is. It's not often a company gets it right with their hiring but you got a good one in Isaiah. Having good employees is the bedrock of any thriving business. We were already stressed out about the fact that our existing fridge died and all our food went to waist. Patricia or Patty was just so RUDE! Her voice and attitude were so difficult to work with. Been here a couple dozen times. Initially, it was to buy hardware for our home renovation. Found most of what I needed and the employees were helpful. The key/hardware department was especially helpful. Then we started going for the kid's projects they have the first Saturday of every month. Has anyone else had bad experiences with Home Depot & online orders for things they don't have in stores?! I have never experienced such horrible customer service. I ordered a washing machine and was sent a storage cabinet? They want me to pay upfront again to reorder and said? They'd send someone out to pickup the storage unit. The pick up return label says their picking up a washing machine. OMG. I'm only complaining as we had problems at the school I work at with a large refrigerator we ordered.
