I was shopping for moderate weight to lighter weight mechanics gloves for the purpose of lifting dumbbells. I tried on a variety of them and liked the Firm Grip all-purpose ones, but I also found the Husky mechanics gloves that caught my eye in the past and I had researched online. A sales associate approached early on and was very helpful and informative. He gave me the confirmation I suspected, and I went with the Husky gloves. So far, so good in the workout hood. I've never had a poor experience with Home Depot, until recently unfortunately. It was a weekday afternoon and we were looking for someone to direct us to some light fixtures. We passed one worker and we asked him where we could find something, and without even pausing and still just continuing to pass, he just said, they're straight in the back. Then we asked another person cause we were looking for specifics and he said rudely, "it's right in front of you." Just rude - the customer service was subpar. I was delighted to see someone say bye and another worker greet me with a hello, but these two workers were enough for me to post two stars, specifically in need of improvement for customer service and hospitality. The selection of Home Depot is never an issue - quite a lot to purchase and find! And yes good values, though I never compare prices with other stores, cause HD usually has it all! But today - two encounters with two rude employees. Just a bummer, and I left the store with these strong lasting sentiments. So I went back to the Home Depot in LN to get some large succulent pots that I saw on Saturday and someone bought them! I decided to check this location in LH out and was so glad I did. It has a very good selection of succulents and exactly what I was looking for. Service was the best. The two pots I selected were super heavy and I couldn't even carry one to put in the shopping cart. Asked the young lady cashier to call someone to help putting them in my car. She said: "I can help you with that!" That was so nice of her. Great attitude and excellent customer service skills. It was less than 15 minutes before she closed that nursery door and she was still happy to help. She even brought out some large plastic bag and offered to put it in my bag car under the plants. Thank you so much, Jennifer! You are awesome. I went to the LN store at 5:00 pm the day before and the gal at the nursery told me she's closing the door at 5:30 pm (but store still opened until 10:00 pm) and unable to get someone to help me loading the exact two pots of succulents into my car. It's been two weeks of torture trying to figure out this screen door problem. Couldn't get anywhere. Nothing online. Tried calling JELD-WEN -- quote -- "We don't talk to regular consumers. Call a dealer." Tried a couple of their dealers -- dead end. Then I called the Home Depot in Laguna Hills and both Saul and Anthony from Millwork were able to help. They researched the problem with the wheels and corner brackets. Then they JELD-WEN for me and asked about the wheels and corner brackets -- quote -- "We don't sell replacement part but we'd be happy to sell you new doors." GEE THANKS! I can't get enough of this guy Mazi! I have ran into him twice, a few months ago he helped me pick out a leaf blower that I use frequently now, and today he helped me pick out a top load washer. This guy deserves to be at the executive level. Both times, he went above and beyond to make sure I get taken care. You can tell he really cares about the customers experience. Customer Service POOR: Employee named Tali, delivered the most inconsiderate and condescending customer service today during my weekly visit to this location. We always visit this location because it is our favorite, and our puppy is loved by the employees there; however, today the staff seemed to be a different crew and it really showed how the quality and caliber of the employees can really shape the experience for customers - in a positive and negative way. Employees that lack training and consideration can really taint the experience of customers. Went to the store to exchange a saucer for a plant we are trying to revive, and to my misfortune, I encountered a young girl named Tali who treated me with such inconsideration and rudeness. Tali really made the encounter unpleasant and eluded to her inability to assist with an exchange, acting as if there was NOTHING that could be done in my situation and that I would have to drive all the way back home to get the receipt from my husband for this 8-dollar saucer. At the point where I was finally prepared to drive back home, I finally said, "Tali, are you sure you can't somehow exchange this 8-dollar saucer so that I can get the same saucer but larger for my potted plant"? Only then...after a back and forth did she concede that she could "try" to return it "without a receipt" for an exchange. (Please note: My husband had the receipt, but I would have to drive all the way home to get it from him). After asking to get a manager to join the conversation, we were able to successfully complete the simple transaction via a return without a receipt to exchange for the same saucer but larger in size to fit the plant pot. To top the experience off, Tali made sure to say, "Have a nice day maam" -- but in a VERY condescending tone. We all know and can sense when a person is insincere in their greetings and partings - it was a very uncomfortable experience. I have NEVER had a negative experience at this Home Depot prior to this encounter...this location has always been our number one store, but there has definitely been a disappointing change in the staffing and it shows. Tali's colleague - another young girl - continued to give me a dirty / harsh look during the entire encounter; so not certain what is going on at this location, but it is unpleasant :( read more

Would have bought a dishwasher tonight but the 2 employees sitting around in the appliance dept told me I had to measure the opening from the floor to the bottom of the counter because there is no standard size. Update: I worked with the customer service center, and sure enough, it turned out that the problem was due to a delivery company that HD is contracted out to. Contacting this company did not help, but HD's able to intervene and take care of our issue for now. I'll raise this to five stars again and will update my rating. Original review: I placed an order for an appliance on 6/29/25 to be delivered on 7/5/25. The delivery contractor for Home Depot missed the delivery dates and rescheduled 3 times on 7/5, 7/8, 7/9 and I contacted their (HD) call center five times, they (HD call center) say they cannot do anything. This is beyond frustration. I still not able to get this resolve yet two weeks later. If Home Depot is reading this, I have all the transcript of the chats/calls if you want. Please note, I love this particular location and it's employees, but as a company, they also responsible to hire the delivery contractors, and those contractors must be held responsible. The dude working the Xmas Tree Lot with the epic handlebar mustache was such a peach!! Let me have the Christmas Tree lower branch trimmings they'd neatly collected in a basket. I upcycled all that lovely greenery, giving it new life in the form of a wreath! Many tree lots (and basically every company in general these days!) want to nickel and dime every person for every last cent and will charge for these cuttings; others will waste this small but precious resource just tossing these beauties in the garbage. Not everyone has the time or skill to custom make a wreath and would prefer to buy a wreath ready made for them. Home Depot and I happily fit into the middle of this: no wasted tree trimmings, no ridiculous up charging, no need to buy some mass produced wreath, just a lovely day spent outside making something cool out of something saved from the landfill which I hadn't needed to pay for and feeling grateful! The head cashier of the self-service checkout line earned this whopping 1 star review for her team and the store. One two separate occasions at least a month apart when needing assistance in self checkout the same person who was identified as the head cashier literally snatched things from my hand aggressively and unapologetically. What the heck do you base your criteria on for a head cashier? It sure as hell is not customer service. Service was ok. Tried to get propane and the "self service" was broken. To sum it up, Home Depot got new "self service" machines to "help better serve customers, but they don't work when I walked up to them it said maintenance and progress and kept making grinding noises then went inside took the guy in machine started working, but then it broke again. read more

I am so disappointed with this location of Home Depot. My husband went into the store and shopped with a gift card. He received as a retirement gift from the fire department. The cashier scratched off the pen so much that he couldn't read it, then proceeded to tell my husband, he can't get the pin so the cards no good. My husband asked for the manager and told him there was $100 on the gift card manager said there's nothing they could do and asked my husband to leave. Stopped by this evening to pick up a few storage containers and an HVAC filter and also look at the washer and dryer sets. We spoke with Eric in plumbing about a set of Samsung appliances, washer and dryer, Eric stated that the appliance person, Eva, would be in at 11am on Sunday as he did not want to take a sale from her, which was very loyal and dedicated on his part. My wife asked Eric a few questions, and then we went to look at the containers on the aisle Eric pointed us to. In the meantime Eric called Diana the manager to see if he could save us a trip back tomorrow and write up the washer and dryer as they were both on sale which would save us approximately $500 and free delivery. Diana agreed to assist Eric, and we were able to purchase the Samsung Washer and Dryer and set up free delivery in the beginning of April. Eric and Diana were so gracious and helpful, and we so appreciated the dedication and commitment to completing our transaction and saving us quite a bit of money. I highly recommend this Home Depot location and of course Eric and Diana. Top service and dedication to customer satisfaction. read more

DO NOT PURCHASE DOORS from Home Depot. I had a nightmare experience. After placing the order for a new front door and waiting 4 months they arrived with the wrong sized door!! The installer also didn't know how to install a smart lock!! It's 2022 and a smart lock is too high tech to install!? What a waste of time. Home Depot outsources the measurement and installation. Home Cheapo more like it. Home Depot sells a ton of inferior products. It wants to cater to the Trades, but doesn't really sell what the trades want. Especially when it comes to the plumbing section. Most plumbers won't touch drain cleaners products mostly because we know what it does to your pipes. Home Depot couldn't care less about you or your pipes. They'll sell you their cheapest garbage disposal at $124.00 but they took the cord so you have to buy that too. Another $20. So, your paying $150.00 for the disposal plus labor. A plumbing supply house will sell you the same one with the cord attached for $105. Home Depot caters to Handymen. read more

This is the best Home Depot in the area and the best I've been to. It's not perfect but I've been going to this location for five years now, and I won't go to the others in my area. The staff is decent and it's not overcrowded like many of the others in the area. Further, they just started doing the kids workshops again that they were doing prior to the pandemic. Generally, I try to avoid shopping here if I can. First, there's the massive size. Second, it's hard to find helpers to point you in the general direction of what you are looking for. Third, some items like cleaning materials and boxes are well priced but other items are actually more expensive here than many other smaller places. For example: room air conditioners. In the store, the selection is pitiful. A few cheap Toshibas. Some huge roll around Chinese models. Otherwise it's going online and ordering one. And the online prices are no bargain! Then comes checkout. You're practically required to use the self checkout since the manned station is usually swamped. Today I bought one broom...and it took a full 5 minutes to get the selfish service to work! What a relief to leave the store! On the plus side: I always get my 10,000 steps. Came here with my daughter to look at plants for Lunar New Year. Was browsing around until I heard someone yell "DO NOT CLIMB ON THE LADDER!!!" I look over and I see my daughter running over to me frightened. We are literally over 20 ft apart and she was already right next to me when I heard the yelling. I look over and the older female employee looks over at me stating she was halfway up the ladder. My daughter looks at me and said she only touched it. I looked at the employee and said "Even if she did climb up, you did not need to yell at my daughter. You could've said, please don't climb on the ladder." Her response, "She was halfway up the other ladder as well." "That's funny. I was back there and I didn't see a ladder. Do not lie. And again, you did not need to raise your voice at my daughter. You're very rude." I didn't raise my voice at her but was very stern. She just threw her arm up and walked away before I had a chance to ask for her name. Another woman walked over to me and said she saw my daughter touching the ladder while looking at the seeds. She never once climbed on the ladder. I told her I know. My daughter knows not to climb on it. We go to Home Depot for our plant needs and she knows not to do it after the 1st time. We won't be returning to this location. read more
